말라기 1장

1 말라기를 통하여 이스라엘에게 주신 주의 말씀의 엄중한 부담이라.

1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.

2 나는 너희를 사랑해 왔노라. 주가 말하노라. 그럼에도 너희는 말하기를, “당신께서 어떤 점에서 저희를 사랑하셨나이까?” 하는도다. 에서는 야곱의 형제가 아니었느냐? 주가 말하노라. 그럼에도 내가 야곱을 사랑하였고,

2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

3 내가 에서는 증오하였으며, 광야의 용들을 위하여 그의 산들과 그의 상속지를 황폐하게 하였도다.

3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

4 이에 반해 에돔은 말하기를, “우리가 빈궁하게 되었으나, 우리는 귀환하여 황량한 곳들을 세우겠노라.” 하는도다. 만군의 주가 이같이 말하노라. 저들은 세울 것이나 나는 무너뜨리겠노라. 그런즉 그들은 저들을 “사악함의 경계”요, “주께서 그들을 대적하여 영원토록 격분하시는 백성”이라 부르리라.

4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

5 그리하여 너희 두 눈이 목격할 것이요, 너희가 말하기를, “주께서 이스라엘 경계에서부터 드높여지시리이다.” 하리라.

5 And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.

6 ¶ 아들은 자기 아버지를, 종은 자기 주인을 공경하는도다. 그렇다면 내가 아버지일진대 나에 대한 공경은 어디 있느냐? 또 내가 주인일진대 나에 대한 두려움은 어디 있느냐? 오, 나의 이름을 멸시하는 제사장들아, 만군의 주가 너희에게 이같이 말하노라. 그런데도 너희는 말하기를, “어떤 점에서 저희가 당신의 이름을 멸시하였나이까?” 하는도다.

6 ¶ A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

7 너희는 오염된 빵을 나의 제단 위에 바치는도다. 그런데도 너희는 말하기를, “어떤 점에서 저희가 당신을 오염시켰나이까?” 하는도다. 너희가 말하기를, “주의 식탁은 업신여길 만하도다.” 하는 점이라.

7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.

8 그리고 만일 너희가 눈먼 것을 희생 제물로 바친다면 그것이 악하지 아니하냐? 또 만일 너희가 절뚝거리는 것과 병든 것을 바친다면 그것이 악하지 아니하냐? 지금 그것을 너의 총독에게 바쳐 보라. 그가 너를 기뻐하거나 너를 외모로 받아들이겠느냐? 만군의 주가 말하노라.

8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

9 그런즉 이제 내가 너희에게 간구하노니, 그분께서 너희에게 은혜로우시도록 하나님께 간청하라. 이것이 너희의 방식대로 있어 왔노라. 그가 너희의 외모들을 보겠느냐? 만군의 주가 말하노라.

9 And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

10 거기 바로 너희 가운데서 괜히 문들을 닫으려 하는 자는 누구냐? 또한 너희는 괜히 나의 제단 위에 불을 붙이지도 말라. 내가 너희를 기뻐하지 아니하노라. 만군의 주가 말하노라. 나는 너희 손에서 하나의 봉헌물도 기꺼이 받아들이지 아니하겠노라.

10 Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

11 이는 해 뜨는 곳부터 해 지는 곳까지 이방인들 가운데서 바로 나의 이름이 위대하게 될 것이요, 모든 곳마다 나의 이름에 향과 순수한 제물이 바쳐질 것이기 때문이라. 이는 나의 이름이 이교도들 가운데서 위대해질 것이기 때문이라. 만군의 주가 말하노라.

11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 ¶ 그러나 너희가 말하기를, “주의 식탁은 오염되었도다. 그곳의 열매, 곧 그분의 음식은 업신여길 만하도다.” 함으로써 너희는 그것을 욕되게 하였노라.

12 ¶ But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.

13 너희가 또한 말하기를, “보라, 그것이 얼마나 지치게 하는가!” 하며 너희는 그것에 코웃음을 쳤도다. 만군의 주가 말하노라. 그러면서 너희는 찢긴 것과 절뚝거리는 것과 병든 것을 가져왔도다. 너희가 이와 같이 제물을 가져왔도다. 내가 너희 손에서 이것을 기꺼이 받아들여야겠느냐? 주가 말하노라.

13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.

14 그러나 자기 양 떼 가운데 수컷이 있는데도 서원한 뒤에 부패한 것을 주께 희생 제물로 바치는 자, 바로 그 속이는 자는 저주받기를 바라노라. 이는 내가 위대한 왕이요, 나의 이름이 이교도들 가운데서 무시무시하기 때문이라. 만군의 주가 말하노라.

14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
