열왕기하 24장
1 그의 날들에 바빌론 왕 네부카드네자르가 올라왔고 여호야킴이 삼 년 동안 그의 종이 되었더라. 그 뒤에 그가 돌이켜 그를 대적하여 반역하였더라.
1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 그리하여 주께서 그를 대적하여 칼데아 사람들의 부대들과 시리아인들의 부대들과 모압족들의 부대들과 암몬의 후손들의 부대들을 보내셨으니, 그분께서 예언자들인 그분의 종들을 통하여 말씀하신 주의 말씀대로 유다를 대적하여 그것을 멸하도록 그들을 보내셨더라.
2 And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3 확실히 주의 명령으로 이 일이 유다 위에 임하였으니, 므낫세가 행한 모든 것대로 그의 죄들로 인하여 그분의 목전에서 그들을 치워 버리시려고 하신 것이라.
3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4 그리고 그가 흘린 무고한 피로 인한 것이기도 하니라. 그가 예루살렘을 무고한 피로 채웠기 때문에 주께서 그 피를 면죄하려 하지 아니하셨더라.
4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
5 ¶ 이제 여호야킴의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것, 그것들이 유다 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
5 ¶ Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6 그렇게 하여 여호야킴이 그의 조상들과 함께 잠들었더라. 그리고 그의 아들 여호야킨이 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
7 그리고 이집트 왕이 그의 영토에서 더 이상 다시 나오지 못하였더라. 이는 바빌론 왕이 이집트강에서부터 유프라테스강까지 이집트 왕에게 귀속되어 있는 모든 것을 점령하였기 때문이라.
7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8 ¶ 여호야킨이 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그가 십팔 세였으며, 그가 예루살렘에서 삼 개월을 통치하였더라. 그리고 그의 어머니의 이름은 느후슈타로, 예루살렘 출신 엘나단의 딸이었더라.
8 ¶ Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 그리고 그는 그의 아버지가 행한 모든 것대로 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라.
9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
10 ¶ 그때에 바빌론 왕 네부카드네자르의 종들이 예루살렘을 대적하여 올라왔고 그 도시가 포위되었더라.
10 ¶ At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 이후에 바빌론 왕 네부카드네자르가 그 도시를 대적하여 쳐들어왔고 그의 종들이 그곳을 포위하였더라.
11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
12 그러자 유다 왕 여호야킨이 바빌론 왕에게 나갔으니, 그와 그의 어머니와 그의 종들과 그의 통치자들과 그의 관원들이 그리하였더라. 그러자 바빌론 왕이 그의 통치 제팔년에 그를 붙잡았더라.
12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 그러고 나서 그는 그곳에서 주의 집의 모든 보물들과 왕의 집의 보물들을 밖으로 날랐고, 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 주께서 말씀하신 대로 주의 성전 안에다 만들었던 모든 금 기물들을 산산이 베어 냈더라.
13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.
14 그리고 온 예루살렘과 모든 통치자들과 모든 막강한 용사들, 곧 일만 명의 포로들을 그가 잡아갔고 모든 기능공들과 대장장이들도 잡아갔더라. 그 지역의 백성 중에서 가장 가난한 계층의 사람들만 제외하고 아무도 남아 있지 아니하였더라.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 그리고 그가 여호야킨을 바빌론으로 잡아가되, 왕의 어머니와 왕의 아내들과 그의 관원들과 그 지역의 세력가들도 그리하였으니, 그가 그들을 예루살렘에서 바빌론까지 포로로 잡아갔더라.
15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 그리고 무려 칠천 명의 모든 막강한 남자들, 일천 명의 기능공들과 대장장이들, 강건하고 전쟁에 능한 모든 자들, 바로 그들을 바빌론 왕이 바빌론까지 포로로 데려갔더라.
16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 ¶ 그리고 바빌론 왕이 여호야킨의 아버지의 형제인 맛타니야를 그를 대신하여 왕으로 삼았고 그의 이름을 시드키야로 바꾸었더라.
17 ¶ And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 시드키야가 통치하기 시작할 때 그가 이십일 세였으며, 그가 예루살렘에서 십일 년 동안 통치하였더라. 그리고 그의 어머니의 이름은 하무탈로, 립나 출신 예레미야의 딸이었더라.
18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 그리고 그는 여호야킴이 행한 모든 것대로 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라.
19 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20 이는 주의 분노를 거쳐 그분께서 자신의 면전으로부터 그들을 쫓아내실 때까지 예루살렘과 유다 안에 이러한 일이 있었기 때문이니, 시드키야가 바빌론 왕을 대적하여 반역하였더라.
20 For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
