사무엘기하 15장

1 이 일 후에 다음과 같은 일이 있었으니, 압살롬이 자신에게 병거들과 말들을 예비하고 자기 앞에서 달려갈 오십 명의 남자들을 예비하였더라.

1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

2 그리고 압살롬이 일찍 일어나서 성문 길 옆에 섰더라. 그런즉 이와 같은 일이 있었으니, 어떤 논란거리가 있는 한 사람이 재판을 위하여 왕에게 오자 그때 압살롬이 그를 불러 말하기를, “너는 어느 도시에 속하느냐?” 하였더라. 그리하면 그가 말하기를, “당신의 종은 이스라엘 지파들 중 하나에 속하나이다.” 하였더라.

2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

3 그리하면 압살롬이 그에게 말하기를, “보라, 너의 사안들이 선하고 옳도다. 그러나 너의 말을 들을, 왕의 대리인이 아무도 없구나.” 하였더라.

3 And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.

4 이뿐만 아니라 압살롬이 말하기를, “오, 내가 이 지역에서 판관이 되어 어떤 탄원이나 소송이 있는 모든 사람마다 나에게 올 수 있었다면, 내가 그에게 정의를 행하였으리라!” 하였더라.

4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!

5 그리하여 이와 같은 일이 있었으니, 어떤 사람이 그에게 가까이 와서 그에게 경의를 표할 때 그가 자기 손을 내밀어 그를 붙들고 그에게 입 맞추었더라.

5 And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.

6 그런즉 압살롬이 재판을 위하여 왕에게 왔던 온 이스라엘에게 이런 식으로 행하였더라. 그렇게 하여 압살롬이 이스라엘 사람들의 마음을 훔쳤더라.

6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

7 ¶ 그리고 사십 년 후에 이러한 일이 있었으니, 압살롬이 왕에게 이같이 말하였더라. “제가 당신께 간구하오니, 제가 주께 서원한 저의 서원을 갚으러 제가 헤브론으로 가는 것을 허락하소서.

7 ¶ And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.

8 이는 당신의 종이 시리아의 그슐에서 거하였던 동안 제가 한 서원으로 서원하며 말하기를, ‘만일 주께서 저를 정녕 예루살렘으로 다시 데려오신다면 그때 제가 주를 섬기겠나이다.’ 하였기 때문이니이다.”

8 For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

9 그러자 왕이 그에게 말하기를, “평안히 가라.” 하였더라. 그렇게 하여 그가 일어나서 헤브론으로 갔더라.

9 And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

10 ¶ 그러나 압살롬이 이스라엘의 모든 지파들을 통틀어 정탐꾼들을 보내며 이같이 말하였더라. “너희가 나팔 소리를 듣자마자 그때 너희는 말하기를, ‘압살롬이 헤브론에서 통치한다.’ 할지니라.”

10 ¶ But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

11 그리고 부름받은 이백 명의 남자들이 예루살렘에서 나와 압살롬과 함께 갔으니, 그들은 자신들의 단순한 생각으로 들어갔으며, 그들은 아무것도 몰랐더라.

11 And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.

12 그리고 압살롬은 그가 희생 제물들을 바치는 동안 다윗의 책략가 길론족 아히도펠을 그의 도시로부터, 곧 길로에서부터 불러왔더라. 그리하여 음모가 거세졌으니, 압살롬 편에 백성이 꾸준히 증가하였기 때문이라.

12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

13 ¶ 그러다가 다윗에게 한 전령이 와서 말하기를, “이스라엘 사람들의 마음이 압살롬을 따르나이다.” 하였더라.

13 ¶ And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

14 그러자 다윗이 예루살렘에서 자기 곁에 있던 그의 모든 종들에게 말하기를, “일어나서 우리가 도망하자. 이는 우리가 그렇지 않고서는 압살롬에게서 탈출하지 못할 것이기 때문이라. 속도를 내어 떠나자. 이는 그가 갑작스럽게 우리를 따라잡고 우리 위에 해악을 가져오며 칼날로 도시를 칠까 함이라.” 하였더라.

14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

15 그런즉 왕의 종들이 왕에게 말하기를, “보소서, 당신의 종들은 나의 주 왕께서 무엇을 정하시든지 행할 준비가 되어 있나이다.” 하였더라.

15 And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.

16 이윽고 왕이 출발하였으니, 그의 온 집안도 그를 따랐더라. 그리고 왕은 첩들인 열 명의 여자들을 남겨 집을 지키게 하였더라.

16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.

17 그런즉 왕이 출발하고 온 백성이 그를 따랐으니, 멀리 떨어진 어떤 곳 안에 머물렀더라.

17 And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

18 그리고 그의 모든 종들이 그의 옆을 지나가고, 모든 크렛족들과 모든 펠렛족들과 모든 가드족들과 가드에서부터 그를 따라온 육백 명의 남자들이 왕 앞에서 행보하였더라.

18 And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

19 ¶ 그때 왕이 가드족 잇타이에게 이같이 말하였더라. “어찌 너도 우리와 함께 가느냐? 너의 처소로 되돌아가서 왕과 함께 거하라. 이는 네가 타국인이자 망명자이기도 하기 때문이라.

19 ¶ Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.

20 사실상 네가 온 것은 어제에 불과하니 내가 너를 이날 우리와 함께 올라가고 내려가게 해야겠느냐? 내가 정처 없이 가므로 너는 되돌아가고 너의 형제들도 도로 데려가라. 너에게 자비와 진리가 있기를 기원하노라.”

20 Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.

21 그러자 잇타이가 왕에게 대답하여 말하기를, “주께서 살아 계심과 내 주 왕께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하오니, 나의 주 왕께서 어느 곳에 계시든지 죽으나 사나 당신의 종도 바로 거기에 반드시 있으리이다.” 하였더라.

21 And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.

22 이에 다윗이 잇타이에게 말하기를, “가서 넘어가라.” 하였더라. 그런즉 가드족 잇타이와 그의 모든 사람들과 그와 함께한 모든 어린것들이 넘어갔더라.

22 And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.

23 그러자 온 지방이 하나의 큰 목소리로 울었고, 온 백성이 넘어갔더라. 왕 자신 또한 키드론 시내를 넘었고, 온 백성도 넘어 광야의 길로 향하였더라.

23 And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

24 ¶ 그리고 보라, 사독과 그와 함께한 모든 레위인들도 하나님의 언약궤를 든 채 그와 함께하였더라. 그리고 그들이 하나님의 법궤를 내려놓았으니, 온 백성이 도시에서 나와 지나가기를 마칠 때까지 아비아달이 올라갔더라.

24 ¶ And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.

25 그런 다음에 왕이 사독에게 이같이 말하였더라. “하나님의 법궤를 도시 안 제자리로 운반하라. 만일 내가 주의 눈들에서 호의를 발견한다면, 그분께서 나를 다시 데려오시고, 나에게 그것과 그분의 거처를 모두 보여 주시리라.

25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:

26 그러나 만일 그분께서 이같이 말씀하시기를, ‘내가 너를 크게 즐거워하지 않노라.’ 하신다면, 보라, 내가 여기 있노라. 그분께서 자신에게 보기 좋은 대로 나에게 행하실지라.”

26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

27 왕이 또한 제사장 사독에게 말하기를, “네가 선견자가 아니냐? 평안히 도시 안으로 되돌아가고 너희와 함께한 너희의 두 아들들, 곧 너의 아들 아히마아즈와 아비아달의 아들 요나단도 그리하라.

27 The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

28 보라, 나에게 확신을 주는 기별이 너희로부터 올 때까지 내가 광야의 평야에 머물겠노라.”

28 See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.

29 그러므로 사독과 아비아달이 하나님의 법궤를 예루살렘으로 다시 옮겼으니, 그들이 거기에 머물렀더라.

29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.

30 ¶ 그리고 다윗이 올리벳산의 오르막길로 올라갔는데 그가 올라가는 동안 울며 자기 머리를 덮었으니, 그가 맨발로 갔더라. 그러자 그와 함께한 온 백성이 각각 자기 머리를 덮었으니, 그들이 올라가되 자신들이 올라가는 동안 울었더라.

30 ¶ And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.

31 ¶ 그리고 한 명이 다윗에게 알리며 말하기를, “아히도펠이 압살롬과 함께한 음모자들 가운데 있나이다.” 하였더라. 그러자 다윗이 말씀드리기를, “오, 주여, 제가 당신께 간구하오니, 아히도펠의 책략을 어리석음으로 돌려주소서.” 하였더라.

31 ¶ And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

32 ¶ 이후에 다윗이 그가 하나님께 경배하였던 산꼭대기에 이르렀을 때 이러한 일이 있었으니, 보라, 아렉족 후샤이가 그의 웃옷이 찢어진 채 그의 머리 위에 흙을 뒤집어쓰고 그를 맞이하러 왔더라.

32 ¶ And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:

33 그에게 다윗이 이같이 말하였더라. “만일 네가 나와 함께 계속 나아간다면 그때 너는 나에게 한 짐이 되리라.

33 Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:

34 그러나 만일 네가 도시로 되돌아가서 압살롬에게 말하기를, ‘오, 왕이여, 제가 당신의 종이 되겠나이다. 제가 지금까지 당신의 아버지의 종이 된 것같이 이제는 제가 그렇게 당신의 종도 되겠나이다.’ 한다면, 그때 너는 나를 위하여 아히도펠의 책략을 패하게 할 수 있으리라.

34 But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

35 그리고 제사장들인 사독과 아비아달이 너와 함께 거기 있지 아니하냐? 그러므로 이러한 일이 일어나리니, 네가 왕의 집에서 무슨 일을 듣든지 그것을 네가 제사장들인 사독과 아비아달에게 알릴지니라.

35 And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

36 보라, 그들은 거기에 자신의 두 아들들인, 사독의 아들 아히마아즈와 아비아달의 아들 요나단을 자기들 곁에 두고 있도다. 그런즉 그들을 통하여 너희는 너희가 들을 수 있는 모든 것을 저마다 나에게 보낼지니라.”

36 Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.

37 그렇게 하여 다윗의 친구 후샤이가 도시 안으로 들어왔고 압살롬은 예루살렘 안으로 들어왔더라.

37 So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
