골로새서 3장

1 그런즉 만일 너희가 그리스도와 함께 일으켜졌으면 위에 있는 그러한 것들을 구하라. 그곳에는 그리스도께서 하나님의 오른편에 앉아 계시느니라.

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 땅에 있는 것들이 아닌, 위에 있는 것들에 너희의 애정을 두라.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 이는 너희가 죽었고, 너희의 생명은 하나님 안에서 그리스도와 함께 감추어져 있기 때문이라.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 우리의 생명이신 분, 곧 그리스도께서 나타나실 때면 너희 역시 그때 영광 가운데서 그분과 함께 나타나게 되리라.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5 그러므로 땅 위에 있는 너희의 지체들을 죽이라. 음행, 불결함, 무절제한 애욕, 악한 색정 그리고 탐심이니, 탐심은 곧 우상 숭배니라.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 이는 이런 것들로 말미암아 하나님의 진노가 불순종의 자녀들 위에 임하기 때문이라.

6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 너희 역시 한때는 그것들 가운데 살아갔으니, 곧 너희가 그것들 가운데 살던 때라.

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 그러나 이제는 너희도 이 모든 것들을 벗어 버리라. 곧, 분노와 격노와 악의와 신성 모독과 너희 입에서 나오는 추악한 대화라.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 서로에게 거짓말하지 말라. 이는 너희가 옛사람을 그의 행실들과 함께 벗어 버렸고

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 새사람을 입었기 때문이라. 이 새사람은 그를 창조하신 그분의 형상에 따라 지식 안에서 새롭게 되었도다.

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11 거기에는 헬라인이나 유대인도, 할례자나 무할례자도, 바바리아인이나 스키타이인이나 속박된 자나 자유로운 자도 없느니라. 오직 그리스도만이 전부요, 모든 것 안에 계시느니라.

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 그러므로 거룩하고 사랑받는, 하나님께 택함받은 자로서 자비들의 인정과, 친절과, 생각의 겸손과, 온유와, 오래 참음으로 옷 입으라.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 만일 어떤 사람이 누군가와 언쟁이 있다면 서로 참아 주고 서로 용서하라. 곧, 그리스도께서 너희를 용서하신 것같이 너희 역시 그렇게 행하라.

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 그리고 이 모든 것들 위에 성도의 사랑을 입으라. 그것은 완전함의 띠니라.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 그리고 하나님의 화평이 너희의 마음을 주관하게 하라. 그 화평에 이르도록 너희 또한 한 몸 안에서 부르심을 받은 것이니라. 그리하여 너희가 감사하는 자가 되라.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 그리스도의 말씀이 너희 안에 모든 지혜로 풍부하게 머물게 하라. 시들과 찬송가들과 영적인 노래들로 서로 가르치고 권고하며, 너희의 마음속에 있는 은혜로 주께 노래하라.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 그리고 너희가 말로나 행실로 하는 것은 무엇이든지 모두 주 예수의 이름 안에서 하되, 그분으로 말미암아 하나님, 곧 아버지께 감사들을 드리라.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18 아내들아, 너희 자신의 남편들에게 스스로 복종하라. 그것이 주 안에서 마땅하기 때문이라.

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19 남편들아, 너희의 아내들을 사랑하고 그들을 거슬러 모질게 대하지 말라.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20 자녀들아, 모든 일들에서 너희의 부모에게 순종하라. 이는 이것이 주를 매우 기쁘게 해 드리기 때문이라.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21 아버지들아, 너희 자녀들이 분노하도록 자극하지 말라. 그들이 낙심하지 않게 하려 함이라.

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

22 종들아, 육체에 따른 너희의 주인들에게 모든 일들에 순종하라. 사람들을 기쁘게 하려는 이들같이 눈속임으로 섬기지 말며 오직 마음의 하나 됨 안에서 하나님을 두려워하며 그리하라.

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

23 그리고 너희가 무엇을 하든지 그것을 주께 하듯 성심껏 행하고, 사람들에게 하듯 하지 말라.

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 너희가 주께로부터 유산의 보상을 받게 되리라는 것을 알고 있으니, 너희가 주 그리스도를 섬기고 있기 때문이라.

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

25 그러나 악행을 하는 자는 그가 행한 악행의 결과를 받으리니, 거기에는 외모들을 보는 일이 전혀 없느니라.

25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
