마가복음 9장

1 이후에 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘여기 서 있는 자들 중 일부는 그들이 하나님의 왕국이 권능으로 임하는 것을 목격할 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라.’” 하셨느니라.

1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

2 ¶ 그러고 나서 육 일 뒤에 예수님께서 자신과 함께 베드로와 야고보와 요한을 데리고, 그들 자신과 떨어져 있는 높은 산속으로 그들을 인도하시니라. 그리고 그분께서 그들 앞에서 변형되셨더라.

2 ¶ And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

3 그리고 그분의 의상이 빛나며 눈처럼 지극히 하얗게 되었으니, 지상의 어떤 세탁공도 그것들을 그처럼 하얗게 할 수 없을 정도였더라.

3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

4 그러자 그들에게 엘리-야가 모세와 함께 나타났으니, 그들이 예수님과 함께 대화하고 있더라.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

5 이에 베드로가 예수님께 대답하여 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니, 우리가 장막 셋을 짓도록 허락하소서. 하나는 당신을 위한 것이요, 하나는 모세를 위한 것이며, 하나는 엘리-야를 위한 것이니이다.” 하였더라.

5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

6 이는 그들이 심히 무서워하였으므로 그가 무슨 말을 해야 할지 몰랐기 때문이라.

6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7 그런데 그들 위에 그늘을 드리우는 구름이 있었으니, 그 구름에서 한 음성이 나와 말씀하시기를, “이는 나의 사랑을 받는 아들이라. 그의 말을 들으라.” 하셨더라.

7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

8 그러고 나서 그들이 주변을 둘러보는데 갑자기 그들은 자신들과 함께한 예수님 외에는 더 이상 아무도 보지 못하였더라.

8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

9 그러고 나서 그들이 그 산에서 내려오는 동안 그분께서 그들에게 명하시어 인자가 죽은 자들로부터 살아날 때까지 그들은 자신들이 본 것들을 아무에게도 알리지 말라고 하셨더라.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

10 그러자 그들은 죽은 자들로부터 살아나는 것이 무엇을 의미하는지 서로 질문하면서 그렇게 말씀하신 것을 자기들끼리 간직하였더라.

10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

11 ¶ 이후에 그들이 그분께 여쭈며 말씀드리기를, “어찌하여 서기관들이 ‘엘리-야가 먼저 와야만 한다.’라고 말하나이까?” 하였더라.

11 ¶ And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 대답하며 이같이 말씀하셨더라. “진실로 엘리-야가 먼저 와서 모든 것들을 회복시키느니라. 그리고 인자에 관하여 기록되었으니, 그는 반드시 많은 것들로 수난을 겪고 멸시를 받아야만 한다고 하였느니라.

12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘정녕 엘리-야가 왔으나 그들은 무엇이든지 그들이 하고자 하는 것을 그에게 행하였으니, 그에 관하여 기록된 대로니라.’”

13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

14 ¶ 그런 다음에 그분께서 자기 제자들에게 오셨을 때 그분께서는 그들 주위에 있는 수많은 무리와 그들과 함께 변론하고 있는 서기관들을 보셨더라.

14 ¶ And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

15 그리고 그들이 그분을 보자 즉각 모든 백성이 대단히 놀라며 그분께 달려와 그분께 문안하였더라.

15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

16 그러자 그분께서 서기관들에게 물으시기를, “너희는 그들과 무엇을 변론하느냐?” 하셨느니라.

16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

17 이에 무리 가운데 한 사람이 대답하며 말씀드렸더라. “스승이여, 제가 저의 아들을 당신께 데려왔는데 그에게는 한 말 못 하는 영이 있나이다.

17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18 그런즉 그가 그를 어디로 데려가든지 그는 그를 찢나이다. 그리고 그는 거품을 물고 자기 이를 갈며 수척해져 가나이다. 그리하여 제가 당신의 제자들에게 이야기해서 그들로 하여금 그를 쫓아내 달라고 하였는데 그들이 하지 못하였나이다.”

18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19 그분께서 그에게 대답하여 말씀하시기를, “오, 믿음 없는 세대야, 내가 너희와 언제까지 함께 있어야 하겠느냐? 내가 너희를 언제까지 감내해야 하겠느냐? 그를 나에게로 데려오라.” 하시니라.

19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

20 그러자 그들이 그를 그분께로 데려왔더라. 그런즉 그분께서 그를 보시자 그 영이 즉각 그를 찢었으니, 그는 땅바닥에 쓰러져 거품을 물고 뒹굴었더라.

20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 그러자 그분께서 그의 아버지에게 물으시기를, “얼마나 오래 전에 이것이 그에게 들어왔느냐?” 하셨느니라. 이에 그가 말씀드리기를, “어릴 때부터니이다.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 그리고 수시로 그것이 그를 불속으로 또 물들 속으로 던졌으며 그를 멸하려고 하였나이다. 그러나 만일 당신께서 어떤 것이라도 하실 수 있다면 우리에게 연민을 가져 주시고 우리를 도와주소서.” 하였더라.

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “만일 네가 믿을 수 있다면 믿는 자에게는 모든 것들이 가능하니라.” 하시니라.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 그러자 즉각 그 아이의 아버지가 부르짖고 눈물을 흘리며 말씀드리기를, “주여, 제가 믿나이다. 당신께서 저의 불신을 도와주소서.” 하였더라.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 예수님께서 백성들이 함께 달려오는 것을 보셨을 때 친히 그 부정한 영을 꾸짖고 그에게 말씀하시기를, “너 말 못 하고 귀먹은 영아, 내가 너에게 명하노니, 그에게서 나오고 다시는 그에게로 들어가지 말라.” 하셨느니라.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26 그러자 그 영이 소리치고 그를 심히 찢으며 그에게서 나왔더라. 이에 그는 죽은 자처럼 되었더라. 많은 이들이 말하기를, “그는 죽었다.”라고 할 정도였더라.

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 그러나 예수님께서 그를 손으로 잡아 그를 일으키셨으니, 그가 일어났더라.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

28 그리고 그분께서 그 집 안으로 들어오셨을 때 그분의 제자들이 그분께 은밀하게 여쭈기를, “어찌하여 우리는 그를 쫓아낼 수 없었나이까?” 하였더라.

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

29 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “이런 종류는 기도와 금식 말고는 아무것으로도 내보낼 수 없느니라.” 하셨더라.

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

30 ¶ 그런 다음에 그들이 거기에서 떠나 갈릴리를 통과하여 지나갔는데 그분께서 어떤 사람도 그것을 알기를 원하지 아니하셨더라.

30 ¶ And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

31 이는 그분께서 자기 제자들에게 가르치시며 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “인자가 사람들의 손안에 넘겨지고 그들은 그를 죽이리라. 그리고 그가 죽임을 당한 뒤에는 셋째 날에 그가 살아나리라.” 하셨기 때문이라.

31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

32 그러나 그들은 그 말씀을 이해하지 못하였으며 그분께 여쭈는 것을 무서워하였더라.

32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

33 ¶ 그런 다음에 그분께서 가버나움에 이르셨는데, 그 집 안에 계시면서 친히 그들에게 물으시기를, “너희가 길에서 너희끼리 논박한 것은 무엇이었느냐?” 하셨더라.

33 ¶ And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

34 그러나 그들은 자신들의 침묵을 지켰으니, 누가 가장 위대하게 되어야 하는가를 두고 그들이 길에서 자기들끼리 논박하였기 때문이라.

34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

35 그러자 그분께서 앉으시어 그 열두 명을 부르시고 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “누구든 처음이 되기를 갈망한다면 그와 같은 자는 모두의 마지막이 될 것이요, 모두의 종이 될 것이라.” 하시니라.

35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

36 그러고는 그분께서 아이 한 명을 데려다가 그들 한가운데 그를 세워 두고 친히 그를 자신의 두 팔로 안으셨을 때 그분께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

37 “누구든지 나의 이름으로 이런 아이들 중 하나를 받아들일 자는 나를 받아들이는 것이요, 또 누구든지 나를 받아들일 자는 내가 아니라 나를 보내신 그분을 받아들이는 것이라.”

37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

38 ¶ 그러자 요한이 그분께 대답하며 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 우리가 당신의 이름으로 마귀들을 쫓아내는 한 사람을 보았는데 그는 우리를 따르지 아니하나이다. 그리하여 우리가 그를 금하였으니, 그가 우리를 따르지 않기 때문이니이다.” 하였더라.

38 ¶ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

39 그러나 예수님께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그를 금하지 말라. 이는 내 이름으로 어떤 기적을 행하면서 함부로 나에 대해 악담할 수 있는 사람이 아무도 없기 때문이라.

39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

40 이는 우리를 반대하지 않는 자는 우리 편이기 때문이라.

40 For he that is not against us is on our part.

41 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 누구든지 너희가 그리스도께 속하였기에 나의 이름으로 너희에게 마실 물 한 잔을 주면 그는 자신의 보상을 잃어버리지 아니하리라.

41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

42 그리고 누구든지 나를 믿는 이 어린이들 중 한 명을 실족시키는 자는 그의 목 주위에 연자 맷돌 한 짝이 걸린 채 그가 바닷속에 던져지는 것이 그에게 더 나으니라.

42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

43 그런즉 만일 너의 손이 너를 실족시키면 그것을 잘라내 버리라. 네가 불구자가 되어 생명으로 들어가는 것이 두 손을 가진 채 결코 꺼지지 않을 불속인 지옥으로 들어가는 것보다 나으니라.

43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

44 그곳에는 그들의 구더기도 죽지 않고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.

44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

45 그리고 만일 너의 발이 너를 실족시킨다면 그것을 잘라내 버리라. 네가 절뚝이며 생명으로 들어가는 것이 두 발을 가진 채 결코 꺼지지 않을 불속인 지옥으로 던져지는 것보다 나으니라.

45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

46 그곳에는 그들의 구더기도 죽지 않고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.

46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47 그리고 만일 너의 눈이 너를 실족시킨다면 그것을 뽑아내 버리라. 네가 한쪽 눈을 지닌 채 하나님의 왕국 안으로 들어가는 것이 두 눈을 가진 채 지옥 불속으로 던져지는 것보다 나으니라.

47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

48 그곳에는 그들의 구더기도 죽지 않고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.

48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

49 이는 모든 사람이 저마다 불과 함께 소금에 절여질 것이요, 모든 희생 제물이 저마다 소금으로 소금에 절여질 것이기 때문이라.

49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

50 소금은 좋은 것이라. 그러나 만일 소금이 그의 짠맛을 잃는다면 너희는 무엇으로 그것의 맛을 내겠느냐? 너희들 안에 소금을 지니고 서로 화평하라.”

50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
