사도행전 20장

1 그리고 소동이 그친 후에 바울이 제자들을 자신에게로 불러서 그들과 포옹하였으며 마케도니아로 들어가기 위하여 떠났더라.

1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.

2 그리고 그가 그 영역들을 이리저리 다니고 그들에게 많은 권면의 말을 전한 후에 그는 그리스로 들어왔더라.

2 And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,

3 그런 다음에 거기에서 삼 개월을 거하였더라. 그리고 그가 시리아로 막 항해하려고 했을 때 유대인들이 그를 숨어 기다리자 그는 마케도니아를 통하여 되돌아가려고 결심하였더라.

3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.

4 그리하여 그와 함께 아시아로 길을 나선 자들이 있었으니, 베뢰아 출신 소파터요, 데살로니아인들에 속한 아리스타쿠스와 세쿤두스요, 더베 출신 가이우스요, 디모데우스요, 아시아 출신 투키쿠스와 트로피무스라.

4 And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

5 이들은 앞서갔으므로 우리가 올 때까지 트로아스에 머물렀더라.

5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.

6 그리고 우리는 무교절의 날들 후에 빌립보를 떠나 항해하였고 오 일 만에 트로아스에 있는 자들에게 이르렀더라. 거기에서 우리는 칠 일을 거하였더라.

6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

7 그리고 그 주의 첫날에 제자들이 빵을 찢으려고 함께 왔을 때 바울은 이튿날에 떠나야 하는 채비를 해 놓고 그들에게 선포하였는데 자신의 연설을 한밤중까지 계속하였더라.

7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 그리고 많은 빛들이 다락방 안에 있었는데 거기서 그들이 함께 모였더라.

8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

9 그런데 거기에 유투쿠스란 이름으로 불리는 어떤 청년 한 명이 창문 하나에 걸터앉아 있었는데 깊은 잠에 빠졌더라. 그리고 바울이 오래 선포를 하였기에 그가 잠에 빠져 삼 층 다락에서 아래로 떨어졌는데 죽은 채로 일으켜졌더라.

9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

10 그러자 바울이 아래로 가서 그 위에 엎드렸다가 그를 안으며 말하기를, “너희는 불안해하지 말라. 이는 그의 생명이 그 안에 있기 때문이라.” 하였더라.

10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

11 그러므로 그가 다시 올라와서 빵을 찢어 먹으며 심지어 동이 틀 때까지 오랫동안 대화한 후에 그가 그렇게 떠났더라.

11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

12 그리고 그들이 살아 있는 청년을 데려왔으며 적잖은 위로를 받았더라.

12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

13 ¶ 그런 다음에 우리는 배로 먼저 갔고 앗소스로 항해하였으니, 거기에서 바울을 태우려는 의도였더라. 이는 그가 자신은 도보로 가기로 결심하여 그렇게 지정하였기 때문이라.

13 ¶ And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.

14 그리하여 그가 앗소스에서 우리와 만나자 우리가 그를 태웠고 미툴레네에 이르렀더라.

14 And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

15 그런 다음에 우리가 거기에서부터 항해하였고 다음 날 키오스 맞은편에 이르렀더라. 그리고 다음날 우리는 사모스에 도착하였고 트로길리움에 머물렀다가 다음날 우리는 밀레투스에 이르렀더라.

15 And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.

16 이는 바울이 아시아에서 시간을 소비하려 하지 않았기에 그가 에베소 옆으로 항해하고자 결정하였기 때문이니, 그가 가능하면 오순절 날에 예루살렘에 있기 위하여 그가 서둘렀기 때문이라.

16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

17 ¶ 그러자 그가 밀레투스에서 에베소로 사람을 보냈고 교회의 장로들을 불렀더라.

17 ¶ And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

18 그리하여 그들이 그에게 왔을 때 그가 그들에게 이같이 말하였더라. “내가 아시아로 들어온 첫날부터 모든 시기들에 내가 어떤 방식으로 너희와 함께 지냈는지 너희가 아노니,

18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 내가 모든 생각의 겸손으로 그리고 많은 눈물들로 그리고 숨어 기다리는 유대인들에 의하여 나에게 닥친 시험들과 더불어 주를 섬겼노라.

19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 그리고 너희에게 유익한 것은 아무것도 감추어 두지 아니하였고 오히려 너희에게 보여 주었으며 공개적으로 너희를 가르쳤고 집집마다 다니며

20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

21 하나님을 향한 회개와 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 향한 믿음을 유대인들에게도 또한 헬라인들에게도 증언하였노라.

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 그리고 보라, 이제 내가 영 안에 묶인 채 예루살렘으로 가나니, 거기에서 나에게 닥치게 될 일들을 모르나

22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

23 다만 성령님께서 각 도시마다 나에게 결박들과 고난들이 거하고 있음을 말씀하시면서 증거하시느니라.

23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

24 그러나 이런 것들 중 아무것도 나를 움직일 수 없노라. 또한 나는 나의 생명을 나에게 소중한 것으로 여기지도 아니하노니, 하나님의 은혜의 복음을 증언하기 위하여 나의 달려갈 길과 내가 주 예수께 받은 사역을 즐거움으로 완수하려 함이라.

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 그런즉 보라, 너희 가운데 내가 다니며 하나님의 왕국을 선포하였으나 이제는 너희 모두가 나의 얼굴을 더 이상 보지 못하리라는 것을 내가 아노라.

25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 이러한 이유로 이날 내가 너희를 데려다 확증하게 하노니, 내가 모든 사람들의 피로부터 결백하도다.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 이는 내가 너희에게 하나님의 모든 계획을 선언하는 것을 꺼리지 아니하였기 때문이라.

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 ¶ 그러므로 너희 자신에게 주의하고 양 무리에게도 주의하라. 성령님께서 너희로 하여금 하나님의 교회를 먹이게 하시려고 양 무리 위에 감독자들로 삼으셨으니, 그분께서는 자기 자신의 피로 값을 치르고 자신의 교회를 얻으셨느니라.

28 ¶ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 이는 내가 떠난 뒤에 흉악한 늑대들이 너희 가운데로 들어와서 양 무리를 아끼지 아니할 이것을 내가 알기 때문이라.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 너희 자신들 가운데서도 제자들을 끌어내어 자기들을 좇게 하려고 비뚤어진 것들을 말하는 사람들이 일어나리라.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 그러므로 깨어 있으라. 그리고 삼 년의 기간 동안 내가 각자에게 밤낮 눈물들로 경고하길 그치지 않았음을 기억하라.

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

32 그리고 형제들아, 이제 내가 너희를 하나님께 위탁하며, 그분의 은혜의 말씀에 위탁하노니, 그것은 너희를 능히 세울 수 있으며 성결하게 구별된 모든 자들 가운데서 너희에게 한 유산을 줄 수 있느니라.

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

33 나는 어떤 사람의 은이나 금이나 의관을 탐낸 적이 없느니라.

33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 진정 너희 스스로도 아노니, 이 두 손으로 나에게 필요한 것들을 조달해 왔고, 나와 함께한 자들에게도 그리하였느니라.

34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

35 내가 너희에게 모든 것들을 보여 주어 왔으니, 곧 그처럼 수고함으로써 마땅히 너희가 약한 자들을 지원해야 한다는 것과 주 예수의 말씀들, 즉 ‘주는 것이 받는 것보다 더 복되도다.’라고 그분께서 말씀하신 것을 기억해야 한다는 것이라.”

35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 ¶ 그런즉 그가 이와 같이 말한 후에 그들 모두와 함께 그가 무릎을 꿇고 기도하였더라.

36 ¶ And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

37 그러자 그들 모두가 심히 울고 바울의 목을 끌어안고 그에게 입 맞추었으니,

37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

38 그들은 그의 얼굴을 더 이상 보지 못한다고 그가 이야기한 말들로 인하여 무엇보다 슬퍼하였더라. 그런즉 그들이 배까지 그와 함께 갔더라.

38 Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
