사도행전 9장

1 그리고 사울은 여전히 주의 제자들을 대적하여 위협들과 살육을 내뿜으며 대제사장에게 갔으며

1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 다마스쿠스에 있는 회당들에게 전달할 편지들을 그에게 간절히 청하였으니, 만일 그가 이 길에 속한 자를 누구라도 발견한다면, 그들이 남자들이든지 여자들이든지 그가 그들을 예루살렘으로 결박하여 데려오려 함이었더라.

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 그리고 그가 여정을 떠남에 따라 그는 다마스쿠스에 가까이 왔는데 갑자기 하늘로부터 한 빛이 그의 주위를 비추었더라.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 그러자 그가 땅에 엎어졌고 그에게 말씀하시는 한 음성을 들었는데, “사울아, 사울아, 어찌하여 너는 나를 박해하느냐?” 하시니라.

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5 그리하여 그가 말씀드리기를, “주여, 당신은 누구시니이까?” 하였더라. 이에 주께서 말씀하시기를, “나는 네가 박해하는 예수니라. 가시들에 발길질하는 것은 너에게 모진 일이라.” 하셨느니라.

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 그러자 그가 떨면서 깜짝 놀라 말씀드리기를, “주여, 당신께서는 제가 무엇을 하기를 원하시나이까?” 하였더라. 이에 주께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “일어나서 그 도시로 들어가라. 그리하면 네가 반드시 해야 하는 일이 너에게 알려지리라.” 하셨느니라.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

7 그런즉 그와 여정을 함께한 사람들이 음성을 들었으나 아무도 보지 못하였기에 말문이 막혀 서 있었더라.

7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

8 이윽고 사울이 땅에서 일어났는데 그의 두 눈이 열렸을 때 그는 아무도 보지 못하였더라. 그러나 그들이 그를 손으로 이끌었고 그를 다마스쿠스 안으로 데려갔더라.

8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

9 그리고 그는 삼 일 동안 시력을 잃은 채 있었고 먹지도 마시지도 아니하였더라.

9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

10 ¶ 그런데 다마스쿠스에 아나니아란 이름으로 불리는 어떤 제자 한 명이 있었더라. 그리고 그에게 주께서 현시로 말씀하시기를, “아나니아야.” 하셨느니라. 이에 그가 말씀드리기를, “보소서, 주여, 제가 여기 있나이다.” 하였더라.

10 ¶ And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

11 그리고 주께서 그에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “일어나 곧은 거리라고 불리는 곳으로 가서 유-다의 집 안에 타르수스 출신의 사울이라고 불리는 이를 문의하라. 이는 보라, 그가 기도하고 있으며

11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

12 자기가 자신의 시력을 받을 수 있도록 아나니아란 이름으로 불리는 남자가 안으로 들어와서 그의 손을 자신 위에 올리는 것을 현시로 보았기 때문이라.”

12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

13 그때 아나니아가 대답하였더라. “주여, 이 사람에 관해서는 그가 예루살렘에 있는 당신의 성도들에게 얼마나 큰 악을 행하였는지 제가 많은 이들을 통하여 들었나이다.

13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

14 그리고 그가 여기서 당신의 이름을 부르는 자들을 모두 결박할 권한을 수석 제사장들로부터 얻었나이다.”

14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

15 그러나 주께서 그에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “너의 길을 가라. 이는 그가 이방인들과 왕들과 이스라엘 자녀들 앞에서 나의 이름을 전하기 위하여 나에게 선택된 한 그릇이기 때문이라.

15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

16 이는 그가 얼마나 심한 것들을 나의 이름을 위하여 겪어야만 하는지 내가 그에게 보여줄 것이기 때문이라.”

16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

17 그리하여 아나니아가 그의 길을 가서 그 집 안으로 들어갔고, 그의 두 손을 그의 위에 올려놓고 말하기를, “사울 형제, 당신이 오는 동안 길에서 당신께 나타나신 주, 곧 예수님께서 나를 보내셨으니, 당신이 당신의 시력을 받을 수 있도록 그리고 성령님으로 충만해지도록 하려 하심이라.” 하였더라.

17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

18 그러자 즉시 그의 두 눈에서 마치 비늘들과 같은 것이 떨어졌더라. 그리하여 그가 곧바로 시력을 받았으며 일어나서 침례를 받았더라.

18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

19 그리고 그가 음식을 받은 후에 그가 강건해졌더라. 그때 사울이 며칠을 다마스쿠스에 있던 제자들과 함께 있었더라.

19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

20 그리고 그는 즉각 회당들 안에서 그리스도께서는 하나님의 아들이시라고 그를 선포하였더라.

20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

21 그러나 그의 말을 들은 자들 모두가 놀라 말하기를, “이 사람은 예루살렘에서 이 이름을 부르는 자들을 멸하던 자가 아니냐? 또한 여기에 온 것도 그가 그들을 결박하여 수석 제사장들에게 데려가려는 그 의도가 아니냐?” 하였더라.

21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

22 그러나 사울은 더욱 힘을 얻었고, 이분이 바로 그 그리스도이심을 입증함으로써 다마스쿠스에 거하던 유대인들을 당혹스럽게 하였더라.

22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

23 ¶ 그리하여 많은 날들이 찬 뒤에 유대인들이 그를 죽이기로 의논하였더라.

23 ¶ And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:

24 그러나 그들이 숨어서 기다리고 있음이 사울에게 알려졌더라. 그런즉 그들이 그를 죽이려고 주야로 성문들을 파수하였더라.

24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

25 그때 제자들이 밤에 그를 데려갔으며 그로 하여금 성벽을 통하여 바구니 안에서 내려가게 하였더라.

25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

26 그러고 나서 사울이 예루살렘에 왔을 때 그는 스스로 제자들에게 가담하려고 시도하였으나 그들은 모두 그를 무서워하였고 그가 제자가 되었음을 믿지 아니하였더라.

26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

27 그러나 바나바는 그를 데리고 그를 제자들에게 데려왔으며, 그가 길에서 주를 본 것과 그분께서 그에게 말씀하신 것과 그가 다마스쿠스에서 예수님의 이름으로 담대하게 선포한 것을 그들에게 밝히 알렸더라.

27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

28 그리하여 그가 예루살렘에서 그들과 함께 들어가고 나갔더라.

28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

29 그리고 그가 주 예수의 이름으로 담대하게 전하였고 헬라어를 말하는 사람들을 대적하여 논박하였더라. 그러나 그들은 그를 살해하려 하였더라.

29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.

30 형제들이 그것을 알았을 때 그들이 그를 카이사랴로 데리고 내려가서 그를 타르수스로 내보냈더라.

30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

31 그때 온 유대와 갈릴리와 사마리아에 걸쳐 교회들이 안식을 얻었고 세움을 받았더라. 그리고 주를 두려워함 가운데 살아가며 성령님의 위로 안에서 번성하였더라.

31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

32 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 베드로가 사방을 두루 다니며 지나가는 동안 그가 룻다에 거하던 성도들에게도 내려갔더라.

32 ¶ And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

33 그런데 그가 애네아스란 이름으로 불리는 어떤 남자 한 명을 발견하였는데 그는 팔 년 동안 자기 병상을 지키며 중풍병을 앓았더라.

33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.

34 이에 베드로가 그에게 말하기를, “애네아스야, 예수 그리스도께서 너를 온전하게 하시느니라. 일어나서 너의 침상을 정돈하라.” 하였더라. 그러자 그가 즉시 일어났더라.

34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

35 그러자 룻다와 사론에 거하던 자들 모두가 그를 보았고 주께로 돌이켰더라.

35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

36 ¶ 이제 타비다란 이름으로 불리는 어떤 제자 한 명이 욥파에 있었는데 타비다는 해석에 의하면 도르카스로 불렸더라. 이 여자는 그녀가 행한 선한 행위들과 자선 행위들로 충만하였더라.

36 ¶ Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

37 그리고 그 당시에 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그녀가 병들어서 죽었더라. 그들이 그녀를 씻긴 후에 그들은 그녀를 다락방 안에 뉘였더라.

37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

38 그리하여 룻다가 욥파에 가까웠던 고로 제자들이 베드로가 거기 있다는 것을 들었고 그들은 그에게 두 사람을 보내서 그가 그들에게 오는 것을 늦추지 않기를 그에게 간절히 청하였더라.

38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

39 그때 베드로가 일어나서 그들과 함께 갔더라. 그가 오자 그들은 그를 다락방 안으로 데리고 들어갔더라. 그리고 그의 곁에 서 있던 과부들이 울며 도르카스가 그들 곁에 있는 동안 그녀가 만들었던 웃옷들과 의복들을 보여 주었더라.

39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

40 그러나 베드로는 그들을 모두 밖에 둔 다음에 무릎을 꿇고 기도하였더라. 그런 다음에 그 시신을 향하여 자신의 몸을 돌이켜 말하기를, “타비다야, 일어나라.” 하였더라. 그러자 그녀가 자신의 두 눈을 떴고 그녀가 베드로를 보자 그녀는 일어나 앉았더라.

40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

41 이에 그가 그녀를 그의 손으로 잡아 그녀를 일으켜 세웠더라. 그리고 그가 성도들과 과부들을 부른 후에 그녀가 살아 있는 것을 드러냈더라.

41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

42 그러자 그것이 욥파 전체에 걸쳐 알려졌고 많은 이들이 주를 믿었더라.

42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

43 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그가 많은 날들을 욥파 안에 머물며 어떤 무두장이인 시몬이라 하는 이와 함께하였더라.

43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
