사사기 5장

1 그때 드보라와, 아비노암의 아들 바락이 그날에 노래하며 이같이 말하였더라.

1 Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

2 “너희는 백성이 기꺼이 자신들을 바쳤을 때 이스라엘의 원수를 갚으신 주를 찬송하라.

2 Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

3 오, 너희, 왕들아, 들으라. 오, 너희, 통치자들아, 귀담아들으라. 나, 바로 내가 주께 노래하겠노라. 내가 이스라엘의 주 하나님께 찬송을 노래하겠노라.

3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

4 주여, 당신께서 세일에서 나오셨을 때, 에돔의 들판에서부터 친히 행군하셨을 때 땅이 진동하였고 하늘들이 빗방울을 떨어뜨렸으며 구름들도 물을 떨어뜨렸나이다.

4 LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.

5 산들이 주 앞에서 녹았나니, 바로 저 시나이산도 이스라엘의 주 하나님 앞에서 녹았나이다.

5 The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

6 아낫의 아들 샴갈의 날들과 야엘의 날들에 대로들이 텅 비어 있었고 여행자들이 샛길들로 걸어 다녔나이다.

6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.

7 촌락들의 거주자들이 그쳤으며, 그들이 이스라엘 안에서 그쳤으니, 나, 드보라가 일어날 때까지, 내가 이스라엘 안에서 한 어머니로 일어날 때까지 그리하였도다.

7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

8 그들이 새로운 신들을 선택하였도다. 그때 성문들 안에 전쟁이 있었도다. 이스라엘의 사만 명 가운데 방패나 창이 보였던가?

8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?

9 나의 마음이 백성 가운데서 기꺼이 자신들을 바친 이스라엘의 지배자들에게 향하는도다. 너희는 주를 찬양하라.

9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.

10 하얀 나귀들을 타고 있는 너희들아, 재판 가운데 앉아 있고 길에서 걸어 다니는 너희들아, 말하라.

10 Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

11 물 긷는 장소들 안에 있는 활 쏘는 자들의 소음으로부터 구출된 자들, 그들은 주의 의로운 행적들, 곧 이스라엘 안에서 그분의 촌락들의 거주자들을 향하신 그 의로운 행적들을 되풀이해서 말하리로다. 그때 주의 백성은 성문들로 내려가리로다.

11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

12 깨어라, 깨어라, 드보라여. 깨어라, 깨어라, 노래를 부르라. 바락이여, 너 아비노암의 아들이여, 일어나서 너의 포로들을 사로잡아 가라.

12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

13 그때 그분께서 남아 있는 자로 하여금 백성 가운데 있는 귀족들을 지배하게 하셨도다. 주께서 나에게 막강한 자를 지배하게 하셨도다.

13 Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.

14 에프라임에서 아말렉을 대적하는 자들의 뿌리가 나왔으니, 너 베냐민을 따라 네 백성들 가운데서 나왔도다. 마킬에서 지배자들이 내려왔고 스불룬에서 저술가의 펜을 다루는 자들이 내려왔도다.

14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

15 그리고 잇사칼의 통치자들이 드보라와 함께 있었으니, 곧 잇사칼이요, 또한 바락이라. 그가 도보로 가도록 골짜기 가운데로 보내졌도다. 르우벤의 분열들로 인하여 마음의 수많은 생각들이 있었도다.

15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.

16 어찌하여 너는 양 떼들의 울음소리들을 들으려고 양 우리들 사이에 거하느냐? 르우벤의 분열들로 인하여 마음에 수많은 사색들이 있었도다.

16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

17 길르앗은 요르단 너머에 거하였도다. 그리고 어찌하여 단은 선박들 안에 남아 있었느냐? 아셸은 해안에 계속 있었고 그의 항만들 가운데 거하였도다.

17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

18 스불룬과 납탈리는 들판의 높은 곳들 안에서 죽기까지 자신들의 생명들을 위태롭게 하는 백성이었도다.

18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

19 왕들이 와서 싸웠으니, 그때 가나안의 왕들이 메기도의 물들 옆 타아낙에서 싸웠도다. 그들이 금전적 이득을 전혀 취하지 아니하였도다.

19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

20 그들이 하늘로부터 싸웠도다. 그들의 궤도들 가운데 있는 별들이 시스라를 대적하여 싸웠도다.

20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

21 키숀강이 그들을 소탕하였으니, 그 고대의 강, 키숀강이라. 오, 나의 혼아, 너는 힘 있는 자들을 짓밟았도다.

21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

22 그때 그들의 막강한 자들의 도약들, 곧 도약하는 방식으로 인하여 말발굽들이 부러졌도다.

22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

23 주의 천사가 말하기를, ‘너희는 메로즈를 저주하라. 너희는 그곳의 거주자들을 독하게 저주하라. 이는 그들이 주를 도우러 오지 않았기 때문이니, 곧 주를 도와 막강한 자들을 대적하지 아니하였기 때문이라.’ 하였도다.

23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

24 켄족 헤벨의 아내 야엘은 다른 여자들보다 훨씬 더 복을 받으리니, 그녀는 천막 안에 있는 다른 여자들보다 훨씬 더 복을 받으리라.

24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

25 그가 물을 구하였더니 그녀가 그에게 동물의 젖을 주었도다. 그녀가 기품이 흐르는 우묵한 접시에 버터를 내왔도다.

25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

26 그녀가 자기 손을 못에 대었고, 자기 오른손을 기술자들의 망치에 대었도다. 그러고는 그녀가 망치로 시스라를 쳤고 그녀가 그의 머리를 쳐서 절단하였으니 그녀가 그의 두 관자놀이를 관통시켜 내리쳤을 때라.

26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

27 그녀의 두 발 앞에 그가 수그렸고, 그가 쓰러졌으며, 그가 드러누웠도다. 그녀의 두 발 앞에 그가 수그렸고 그가 쓰러졌도다. 그가 수그린 곳에서 그는 죽은 채 쓰러져 버렸도다.

27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

28 시스라의 어머니가 창문에서 내다보았고 격자창을 통하여 부르짖기를, ‘어찌하여 그의 병거가 오는 것이 이리도 오래 걸리느냐? 어찌하여 그의 병거들의 바퀴들이 지체하느냐?’ 하였도다.

28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

29 그녀의 지혜로운 귀부인들이 그녀에게 대답하였고, 진정 그녀도 스스로에게 대답을 되돌려 주기를,

29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,

30 ‘그들이 달성하지 아니하였겠느냐? 그들이 전리품을 나누지 아니하였겠느냐? 모든 남자마다 젊은 여인 한둘이 주어졌을 것이며, 시스라에게는 여러 가지 색깔로 된 전리품과 여러 가지 색깔로 바느질된 전리품, 곧 여러 가지 색깔로 양면에 바느질된 것이 주어졌을 것이니, 노획물을 취한 자들의 목에 알맞은 것이리라.’ 하였도다.

30 Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?

31 오, 주여, 당신의 모든 원수들이 이처럼 멸망하게 하소서. 그러나 그분을 사랑하는 자들은 해가 그의 강력함으로 전진할 때와 같게 하소서.” 그리하여 그 지역이 사십 년 동안 안식을 얻었더라.

31 So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
