레위기 17장

1 다음으로 주께서 모세에게 이같이 일러 말씀하셨느니라.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 “아론에게와 그의 아들들에게와 모든 이스라엘 자녀들에게 일러 그들에게 이같이 말하라. ‘이것은 주께서 명령하며 말씀하신 것이라.

2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying,

3 이스라엘 집에 속한 어떤 사람이라 할지라도 소나 어린양이나 염소를 진영 안에서 죽이거나 그것을 진영 밖에서 죽이고서

3 What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,

4 그것을 주의 성막 앞에서 주께 제물로 바치려고 회중의 성막 문으로 그것을 가져오지 않는다면, 피가 그 사람에게로 돌아가리라. 그가 피를 흘렸으니, 그 사람은 그의 백성 가운데서 끊어지리라.

4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

5 이는 이스라엘 자녀들이 벌판 가운데서 자신들이 바치는 자신들의 희생 제물들을 가져오게 하려는 취지니, 곧 그들로 하여금 그것들을 주께로 가져와 회중의 성막 문에 있는 제사장에게 주어 그것들을 주께 화평 제물들로 바치게 하려 함이라.

5 To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD.

6 그런 다음에 제사장은 회중의 성막 문에서 주의 제단 위에다 그 피를 뿌리고, 주께 감미로운 향기로 그 지방을 태울지니라.

6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD.

7 그런즉 그들은 자신들이 좇아 행음하러 다니던 마귀들에게 더 이상 자신들의 희생 제물들을 바치지 말지니라. 이것은 그들의 세대들에 걸쳐 그들에게 영원토록 규례가 되리라.’

7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

8 ¶ 다음으로 너는 그들에게 이같이 말할지니라. ‘이스라엘 집에 속한 사람이나 너희 사이에서 체류하는 타국인들 중에 누구든지 번제물이나 희생 제물을 바치는데

8 ¶ And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

9 그것을 주께 바치려고 하면서 회중의 성막 문으로 그것을 가져오지 않는다면 바로 그 사람은 그의 백성 가운데서 끊어지리라.

9 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the LORD; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

10 ¶ 그리고 이스라엘 집에 속한 사람이나 너희 사이에서 체류하는 타국인들 중에 누구든지 어떤 부류의 피를 먹거든, 바로 내가 피를 먹는 그 혼을 대적하여 내 얼굴을 두겠고 그를 그의 백성 가운데서 끊어 버리겠노라.

10 ¶ And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11 이는 육체의 생명이 핏속에 있기 때문이라. 그런즉 나는 그것을 너희에게 주어 제단 위에서 너희의 혼들을 위한 속죄를 이행하게 하였노라. 이는 그것이 혼을 위하여 속죄를 이행하는 피이기 때문이라.’

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

12 그러므로 내가 이스라엘 자녀들에게 말하기를, ‘너희 가운데 어떤 혼도 피를 먹지 말지니, 너희 사이에서 체류하는 어떤 타국인도 피를 먹지 말지니라.’ 하였노라.

12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

13 그리고 이스라엘 자녀들에게 속한 사람이나 너희 가운데 체류하는 타국인들 중에 누구든지, 섭취될 수 있는 어떤 짐승이나 날짐승을 사냥하고 포획하는 자는, 바로 그것의 피를 그는 쏟아붓고 그것을 진토로 덮을지니라.

13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

14 이는 그것이 모든 육체의 생명이요, 그것의 피는 그것의 생명을 위한 것이기 때문이라. 그러므로 내가 이스라엘 자녀들에게 이같이 말하노라. ‘너희는 어떤 부류의 육체의 피도 먹지 말지니라. 이는 모든 육체의 생명이 그것의 피이기 때문이니, 누구든지 피를 먹는 자는 끊어지리라.

14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

15 그리고 저절로 죽은 것이나 짐승들에게 찢긴 것을 먹는 모든 혼마다 너희 자국민 중 한 명이든지 타국인이든지 간에 그는 자기 옷을 빨 뿐만 아니라 물속에서 목욕도 할지니, 저녁때까지 불결하리라. 그 후에야 그가 정결해지리라.

15 And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.

16 그러나 만일 그가 그것들을 빨지 않고 자신의 육체를 씻어 목욕하지도 않는다면 그때 그는 자기 죄악을 담당하리라.’”

16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.
