마태복음 7장

1 너희가 판단받지 않도록 판단하지 말라.

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 이는 너희가 어떤 판단으로 판단하든지 그것으로 너희가 판단받을 것이요, 너희가 어떤 척도로 재든지 그것으로 너희가 다시 측정될 것이기 때문이라.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 그런즉 어찌하여 너는 너의 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보면서도 너 자신의 눈 속에 있는 들보는 숙고하지 아니하느냐?

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 그런데 보라, 너 자신의 눈 속에 들보가 있는데도 어떻게 네가 너의 형제에게 말하기를, ‘나로 하여금 너의 눈에서 티를 뽑아내게 하라.’ 하겠느냐?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 너, 위선자여, 먼저 너 자신의 눈에서 들보를 뽑아내라. 그리하면 그때 너는 똑똑히 보리니 너의 형제의 눈에서 티를 뽑아내리라.

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 ¶ 거룩한 것을 개들에게 주지 말며, 너희는 너희의 진주들을 돼지들 앞으로 던지지도 말라. 돼지들이 그것들을 자신들의 발아래 짓밟고 다시 돌아서서 너희를 찢어발기지 않도록 하려는 것이라.

6 ¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

7 ¶ 구하라. 그리하면 그것이 너희에게 주어질 것이요, 찾으라. 그리하면 너희가 발견할 것이요, 두드리라. 그리하면 그것이 너희에게 열릴 것이라.

7 ¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 이는 구하는 이마다 받고, 찾는 자는 발견하며, 두드리는 자에게 그것이 열릴 것이기 때문이라.

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 그런데 너희 가운데 있는 어떤 사람이 자기 아들이 빵을 구하는데도 그가 돌을 그에게 주겠느냐?

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 혹은 아들이 생선을 구하는데도 아버지가 뱀을 그에게 주겠느냐?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 그렇다면 너희가 악함에도 불구하고 너희 자녀들에게 좋은 선물들을 줄 줄 알거든, 하물며 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서는 그분께 구하는 자들에게 좋은 것들을 얼마나 더 많이 주시겠느냐?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12 그러므로 무엇이든지 너희가 사람들이 너희에게 해 주기를 바라는 모든 것들을 바로 그대로 너희가 그들에게 행하라. 이는 이것이 율법과 예언서들이기 때문이라.

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 ¶ 너희는 좁은 문으로 들어가라. 이는 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 넓고 그 길이 광대하여, 그리로 들어가는 자가 많이 있기 때문이라.

13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 이는 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 그 길이 협소하여, 그것을 찾는 자가 거의 없기 때문이라.

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 ¶ 거짓 예언자들을 경계하라. 그들은 양의 옷을 입고 너희에게 나아오나 그들의 속은 탐욕스럽게 삼키는 늑대들이니라.

15 ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 너희는 그들의 열매들로 그들을 알리라. 사람들이 가시나무들에서 포도들을 거두거나 엉겅퀴들에서 무화과들을 거두느냐?

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 바로 이와 같이 모든 좋은 나무는 저마다 좋은 열매를 내느니라. 그러나 변질된 나무는 나쁜 열매를 내느니라.

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 낼 수 없으며, 변질된 나무도 좋은 열매를 낼 수 없느니라.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 좋은 열매를 내지 아니하는 나무마다 찍혀 쓰러지고 불속에 던져지느니라.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 이러한 이유로 그들의 열매들로 너희는 그들을 알리라.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 ¶ 나에게 말하기를, ‘주여, 주여’ 하는 이마다 하늘의 왕국 안으로 들어갈 것이 아니요, 오직 하늘에 계신 나의 아버지의 뜻을 행하는 자가 들어가리라.

21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 그날에는 많은 이가 나에게 말하기를, ‘주여, 주여, 우리가 당신의 이름으로 예언하지 아니하였나이까? 또한 당신의 이름으로 마귀들을 쫓아내지 아니하였나이까? 또한 당신의 이름으로 많은 경이로운 행위들을 하지 아니하였나이까?’ 할 것이라.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 그런즉 그때 나는 그들에게 공언하겠노라. ‘나는 결코 너희를 알지 아니하였노라. 죄악을 행사하는 너희들아, 나에게서 떠나라.’

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 ¶ 그러므로 누구든지 내가 한 이 말들을 듣고 그것들을 행하는 자는 내가 그를 자기 집을 반석 위에 건축한 지혜로운 사람에 비유하겠노라.

24 ¶ Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 그런즉 비가 내렸고, 홍수들이 났으며, 바람들이 불었고, 그 집을 강타하였는데 그것이 무너지지 아니하였노라. 이는 그것이 반석 위에 세워졌기 때문이라.

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 그리고 내가 한 이 말들을 듣고 그것들을 행하지 아니하는 모든 자마다 자기 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람에 비유되리라.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 그런즉 비가 내렸고, 홍수들이 났으며, 바람들이 불었고, 그 집을 강타하였는데 그것이 무너졌으니, 그것의 무너짐이 심히 컸느니라.”

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 예수님께서 이렇게 말씀하시는 것들을 끝내시자 그 백성이 그분의 교리에 깜짝 놀랐더라.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29 이는 그분께서 권위를 지니신 분으로서 그들을 가르치셨으며, 서기관들과 같지 아니하셨기 때문이라.

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
