요한계시록 4장

1 이런 일 뒤에 내가 보았는데, 보라, 하늘에 한 문이 열렸더라. 그리고 내가 들은 첫 번째 음성이 하나의 나팔에서 나온 것같이 나와 함께 대화하였더라. 그 음성이 말하기를, “이리 올라오라. 그리하면 이후에 반드시 있을 일들을 내가 너에게 보여 주겠노라.” 하였더라.

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 그러자 즉시 내가 영 안에 있었더라. 그런데 보라, 하늘에 한 보좌가 놓여 있었고 한 분이 그 보좌 위에 앉으셨더라.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 그런데 앉으신 분은 벽옥과 홍옥같이 보였더라. 그리고 에메랄드처럼 보이는 무지개가 그 보좌 주위에 있었더라.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 그리고 그 보좌 주위에 스물네 자리가 있었더라. 그리고 그 자리들 위에 흰 의상으로 옷 입혀진 스물네 장로들이 앉아 있는 것을 내가 보았도다. 그런즉 그들은 자신들의 머리들 위에 금 왕관들을 썼더라.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5 또한 그 보좌에서 번개들과 천둥들과 음성들이 나왔더라. 그리고 그 보좌 앞에 타오르는 일곱 등불들이 있었으니, 그것들은 하나님의 일곱 영들이라.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 그리고 그 보좌 앞에 수정 같은 유리 바다가 있었더라. 그리고 그 보좌 한가운데와 그 보좌 주위에는 앞뒤가 눈들로 가득한 네 짐승들이 있었더라.

6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7 그런즉 첫째 짐승은 사자 같았고 둘째 짐승은 송아지 같았고 셋째 짐승은 사람 같은 얼굴을 가졌고 넷째 짐승은 날아다니는 독수리 같았더라.

7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8 또한 네 짐승들은 각기 그들 자신의 둘레에 여섯 날개를 가졌으며 그것들 안쪽에는 눈들이 가득하였더라. 그리고 그들은 주야로 쉬지 않고 말하기를, “거룩하시도다, 거룩하시도다, 거룩하시도다, 과거에도 계셨고 현재에도 계시며 미래에도 오실 전능하신 주 하나님이여.” 하더라.

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9 그러자 그 짐승들이 그 보좌 위에 앉으신 분, 곧 영원무궁토록 사시는 분께 영광과 존귀와 감사들을 드릴 때,

9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10 스물네 장로들이 그 보좌 위에 앉으신 분 앞에 엎드리며 영원무궁토록 사시는 분께 경배하고 그 보좌 앞에 자신들의 왕관들을 던져 드리며 이같이 말씀드렸더라.

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 “오, 주여, 당신께서는 영광과 존귀와 권능을 받기에 합당하시나이다. 이는 당신께서 모든 것들을 창조하셨기 때문이니, 당신의 기쁨을 위하여 그것들이 존재하고 또 창조되었기 때문이니이다.”

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
