요한계시록 6장

1 그리고 어린양께서 봉인들 중 하나를 여셨을 때 내가 주시하였는데 마치 천둥의 굉음 같은 것을 내가 들었으니, 네 짐승들 중 하나가 말하기를, “와서 보라.” 하니라.

1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

2 그리하여 내가 주시하였는데, 보라, 흰 말 한 마리라. 그리고 그 위에 탄 자는 활 하나를 가졌으니, 한 왕관이 그에게 주어졌더라. 그런즉 그가 밖으로 나가서 정벌하고 또 정벌하였더라.

2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

3 다음으로 그분께서 둘째 봉인을 여셨을 때 둘째 짐승이 말하기를, “와서 보라.” 하는 것을 내가 들었노라.

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4 그러자 또 다른 말이 나왔는데 붉은 말이었더라. 그리고 그 위에 탄 자에게 땅에서 평화를 빼앗고 그들을 서로 죽이게 하는 권능이 주어졌더라. 그리고 그에게 거대한 칼 한 자루가 주어졌더라.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

5 다음으로 그분께서 셋째 봉인을 여셨을 때 셋째 짐승이 말하기를, “와서 보라.” 하는 것을 내가 들었노라. 그리하여 내가 보았는데, 보라, 검은 말 한 마리라. 그리고 그 위에 탄 자는 자기 손에 한 쌍의 저울들을 가졌더라.

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 이어서 네 짐승들 한가운데서 한 음성이 말하기를, “일 도량의 밀이 일 페니¹요, 삼 도량의 보리가 일 페니라. 그리고 너는 기름과 포도즙을 손상시키지 않도록 주의하라.” 하는 것을 내가 들었노라.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

7 다음으로 그분께서 넷째 봉인을 여셨을 때 넷째 짐승이 말하기를, “와서 보라.” 하는 것을 내가 들었노라.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 이에 내가 바라보았는데, 보라, 창백한 말 한 마리라. 그리고 그 위에 앉은 자의 이름은 사망이었고, 지옥이 그의 뒤를 따랐더라. 그리고 땅의 사분의 일에 대한 권능이 그들에게 주어졌으니, 칼로, 굶주림으로, 사망으로, 땅의 짐승들로 죽이고자 함이라.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

9 다음으로 그분께서 다섯째 봉인을 여셨을 때 하나님의 말씀으로 인하여 그리고 자신들이 붙든 증언으로 인하여 살해된 자들의 혼들을 제단 아래에서 내가 보았도다.

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 그리고 그들이 큰 목소리로 외치며 말씀드리기를, “오, 거룩하고 진실하신 주여, 얼마나 오랫동안 당신께서는 지상에서 거하는 자들을 심판하지 아니하시고 우리의 피의 복수를 하지 아니하시리이까?” 하였더라.

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 그러자 흰 예복들이 그들 각자에게 주어졌더라. 그리고 그들의 동료 종들과 그들의 형제들까지도 그들이 당한 것처럼 죽임을 당하여 그 수가 채워질 때까지 그들이 잠시 동안 더 쉬어야 한다는 말씀이 주어졌더라.

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

12 다음으로 그분께서 여섯째 봉인을 여셨을 때 내가 보았더니, 보라, 커다란 지진 하나가 있었더라. 그리고 해가 머리카락으로 짠 굵은 베처럼 검어졌고 달은 피처럼 되었더라.

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 그리고 하늘의 별들이 땅 위에 떨어졌는데, 바로 막강한 바람에 무화과나무 한 그루가 흔들릴 때, 그녀가 그녀의 설익은 무화과들을 떨구는 것 같았더라.

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 그리고 하늘은 두루마리 하나가 그것이 통째로 말렸을 때처럼 떠나갔더라. 그리고 모든 산과 섬이 저마다 제 위치들에서 이동되었더라.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 그러자 땅의 왕들과 위대한 사람들과 부유한 사람들과 총대장들과 막강한 사람들과 모든 노예와 자유로운 사람마다 토굴들 속과 산들의 바위들 속에 자신들을 숨겼더라.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 그러면서 산들과 바위들에게 이같이 말하였더라. “우리 위에 떨어지라. 그리하여 우리를 그 보좌 위에 앉으신 분의 얼굴로부터 숨기고 어린양의 진노로부터 숨기라.

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 이는 그분의 진노의 위대한 날이 임하였기 때문이라. 그런즉 누가 능히 서겠느냐?”

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
