로마서 15장

1 그렇다면 강한 우리가 마땅히 약한 자들의 연약함들을 참아 주고 우리 자신을 기쁘게 하지 말아야 하느니라.

1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 우리 모두는 저마다 자기 이웃을 기쁘게 하되 그의 선을 위해 세워 주자.

2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

3 이는 심지어 그리스도께서도 자신을 기쁘게 하지 아니하셨기 때문이라. 오히려 기록된 바와 같으니, “당신을 비방한 자들의 비방들이 나를 덮쳤나이다.” 하였도다.

3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

4 이는 무엇이든지 예전에 기록된 것들은 우리의 배움을 위하여 기록되었기 때문이니, 우리로 하여금 성경 기록들이 주는 인내와 위로를 통하여 소망을 지니게 하려 함이라.

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

5 이제 인내와 위안의 하나님께서 너희가 그리스도 예수를 따라 서로를 향하여 같은 생각을 갖게 되도록 허락해 주시기를 기원하노라.

5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

6 이는 너희로 하여금 한 생각과 한 입으로 하나님, 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라.

6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 이런 이유로 그리스도께서도 우리를 하나님의 영광에 이르도록 받아들이신 것같이 너희는 서로를 받아들이라.

7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

8 이제 내가 이같이 말하노라. 예수 그리스도께서는 하나님의 진리를 위하여 할례자들을 섬기는 분이셨으니, 조상들에게 주어진 약속들을 확정하려 하심이요,

8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

9 이방인들로 하여금 그분의 자비로 인하여 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 하심이라. 기록된 바와 같으니, “이런 까닭에 내가 이방인들 가운데서 당신께 고백하고 당신의 이름을 노래하리이다.” 하였도다.

9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

10 그리고 다시금 그분께서 이같이 말씀하시니라. “너희, 이방인들아, 그분의 백성과 함께 크게 기뻐하라.”

10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 그리고 다시금 “너희, 모든 이방인들아, 주를 찬송하라. 그리고 너희, 모든 백성들아, 그분께 찬가를 올리라.” 하시니라.

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 그리고 다시금 이사-야가 말하기를, “이새의 한 뿌리가 있으리니, 이방인들을 통치하려고 일어날 자로다. 이방인들이 그를 신뢰하리라.” 하니라.

12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13 이제 너희가 성령님의 권능을 통하여 소망 가운데 풍족을 누리도록 소망의 하나님께서 너희를 신앙 안에서 모든 즐거움과 화평으로 채우시기를 바라노라.

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

14 그리고 나의 형제들아, 나 자신 역시 너희에 대하여 확신하게 된 바는 너희도 선함으로 가득하고 모든 지식으로 채워져서 능히 서로를 권고할 수도 있다는 것이라.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

15 그럼에도 불구하고 형제들아, 하나님께로부터 나에게 주어지는 은혜로 인하여, 너희로 하여금 생각나게 하려고 내가 어느 정도는 더욱 담대하게 너희에게 기록하였나니,

15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

16 내가 이방인들을 향해 예수 그리스도의 사역자가 되어 하나님의 복음을 공급하려 함이요, 성령님에 의하여 성결하게 구별되어 이방인들을 바치는 일이 기꺼이 받아들여지게 하려 함이라.

16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

17 그러므로 내가 예수 그리스도를 통하여 하나님과 관계된 그 일들에 있어서는 내가 자랑할 것이 있느니라.

17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

18 이는 그리스도께서 나를 통하여 역사하신 그 일들이 아닌 것은 내가 어떤 것도 감히 말하지 아니할 것이기 때문이라. 즉, 말과 행실로 이방인들을 순종하게 하고자

18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

19 하나님의 영의 권능으로 말미암아 막강한 표적들과 이적들을 통하여 역사하신 일들이라. 그렇게 하여 예루살렘부터 일루리쿰 주위에 이르기까지 내가 그리스도의 복음을 완전히 선포하였노라.

19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

20 진정, 이와 같이 내가 복음을 선포하기 위하여 분투하였는데 그리스도의 이름이 불려진 곳이 아니었으니, 내가 다른 사람의 기초 위에다 건축하지 아니하려 함이라.

20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

21 오직 기록된 바와 같으니, “그분에 대해 전해 듣지 못한 자들이 볼 것이요, 들어 보지 못한 자들이 이해하게 될 것이라.” 하였도다.

21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

22 이런 까닭에 나 또한 너희에게 나아가는 것에 있어서 많은 방해를 받아 왔느니라.

22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

23 다만 이제 이 구역들에는 더 이상 선포할 곳이 없으며, 최근 수년 동안 너희에게 나아가고자 하는 큰 열망을 가지고 있기에,

23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

24 언제든지 내가 스페인으로 여정을 떠날 때면 내가 너희에게 가겠노라. 이는 만일 먼저 내가 너희와의 친교로 어느 정도 채워지면, 나의 여정 가운데 너희를 볼 것과 스페인 쪽으로 가는 나의 길로 너희 편에 전송받을 것을 확신하기 때문이라.

24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

25 그러나 지금은 내가 성도들을 섬기기 위하여 예루살렘으로 가노라.

25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

26 이는 예루살렘에 있는 가난한 성도들을 위하여 얼마의 성금을 하는 것이 마케도니아와 아카이아에 속한 자들을 기쁘게 하였기 때문이라.

26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

27 그것이 그들을 진실로 기쁘게 하였느니라. 그리고 그들은 저들에게 빚진 자들이라. 이는 이방인들이 저들의 영적인 것들에 동참자들이 되었다면, 그들의 의무는 또한 육신적인 것들로 저들을 섬기는 것이기 때문이라.

27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

28 그러므로 내가 이것을 수행하고 이 열매를 그들에게 확증한 후에 내가 너희 편으로 스페인에 들어가겠노라.

28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

29 그리고 내가 너희에게 나아갈 때면 내가 그리스도의 복음에서 나오는 복의 충만함으로 나아가게 될 것을 나는 확신하노라.

29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30 형제들아, 이제 나는 주 예수 그리스도를 위하여 그리고 성령의 사랑을 위하여 너희에게 간청하노니, 너희는 나를 위하여 하나님께 드리는 너희의 기도들로 나와 함께 분투하라.

30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

31 이는 내가 유대에 있는 믿지 아니하는 자들로부터 구출 받으려 함이며, 예루살렘을 위하여 내가 하고 있는 나의 섬김이 성도들에게 기꺼이 받아들여지도록 하려 함이라.

31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

32 이는 내가 하나님의 뜻에 의하여 너희에게 즐거움으로 나아가고 너희와 함께 활력을 되찾으려 함이라.

32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

33 이제 화평의 하나님께서 너희 모두와 함께 있기를 기원하노라. 아멘.

33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
