로마서 5장

1 그러므로 믿음으로 정당함을 입증받은 우리에게는 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 하나님과 함께한 화평이 있느니라.

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 또한 우리가 그분으로 말미암아 우리가 서 있는 이 은혜 안에 믿음으로 들어감을 얻으며, 하나님의 영광의 소망을 크게 기뻐하느니라.

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 그런즉 우리는 그렇게 할 뿐 아니라 환란들도 기뻐하나니, 환란은 인내를 이루고,

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 인내는 경험을 이루며, 경험은 소망을 이루는 줄 알기 때문이라.

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 그런즉 소망은 우리를 부끄럽지 않게 하느니라. 이는 우리에게 주어지는 성령님을 통하여 하나님의 사랑이 우리 마음속에 널리 부어지기 때문이라.

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 이는 우리가 아직 힘이 없었을 때 그리스도께서 합당한 때에 불경건한 자들을 위하여 죽으셨기 때문이라.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 이는 의로운 사람을 위하여 죽으려는 이가 거의 없기 때문이라. 그럼에도 선한 사람을 위하여 죽음까지 무릅쓰는 이가 혹 있을지 모르느니라.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 그러나 우리가 아직 죄인들이었을 때 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으셨으므로 하나님께서는 우리를 향한 그분의 사랑을 권하고 계시느니라.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 이제 그분의 피로 정당함을 입증받았으니, 그렇다면 우리는 그분을 통하여 더욱더 진노로부터 구원받게 되리라.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 이는 우리가 원수들이었을 때 그분의 아들의 죽음을 통하여 우리가 하나님과 화해하게 되었다면, 화해하게 된 우리는 더욱더 그분의 생명을 통하여 구원받을 것이기 때문이라.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 그런즉 이뿐만 아니라, 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리가 또한 하나님을 즐거워하느니라. 그분으로 인하여 우리는 이제 속죄를 받았느니라.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 이런 이유로 한 사람으로 말미암아 죄가 세상 안으로 들어왔고 죄로 인하여 사망이 들어온 것과 같으니, 그리하여 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 사망이 모든 사람에게 전달되었느니라.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (이는 율법이 있을 때까지 죄가 세상 속에 있었기 때문이라. 그러나 율법이 없을 때에는 죄가 전가되지 아니하였느니라.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 그럼에도 불구하고 사망이 아담부터 모세까지 군림하였으니, 곧 아담의 불법의 모습을 따라 죄를 짓지 아니한 자들에게까지 군림하였느니라. 아담은 오셔야 했던 분의 모형이라.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 그러나 그 범죄와 같지는 아니하나 그 값없는 선물 또한 그러하도다. 이는 한 사람의 범죄를 통하여 많은 이들이 죽는다면, 하나님의 은혜와 한 사람 예수 그리스도로 인한 은혜로 말미암은 선물은 많은 이들에게 더욱더 넘쳤기 때문이라.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 그런즉 죄를 지은 한 사람으로 말미암은 것과 같지는 아니하나 그 선물도 그러하도다. 이는 심판이 한 사람에 의하여 정죄에 이르렀으나, 많은 이들의 범죄들로 인한 그 값없는 선물은 칭의에 이르기 때문이라.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 이는 한 사람의 범죄로 인하여 사망이 한 사람을 통해 군림하였다면, 은혜의 풍요함과 의의 선물의 풍요함을 받은 자들은 예수 그리스도 한 사람으로 인하여 생명 안에서 더욱더 군림할 것이기 때문이라.)

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 그러므로 한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 심판이 모든 사람들에게 임하여 정죄에 이른 것같이, 곧 한 사람의 의로 말미암아 값없는 선물이 모든 사람들 위에 이처럼 임하여 생명의 칭의에 이르렀느니라.

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 이는 한 사람의 불순종으로 인하여 많은 이들이 죄인들이 된 것같이, 이처럼 한 사람의 순종으로 인하여 많은 이들이 의롭게 될 것이기 때문이라.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 이뿐만 아니라 범죄가 넘치도록 율법이 들어왔으나 죄가 넘치게 된 곳에 은혜가 더욱더 넘쳤느니라.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 이는 죄가 군림하여 사망에 이른 것같이, 은혜도 의를 통해 이처럼 군림하여 우리 주이신 예수 그리스도에 의해 영생에 이르게 하려 함이라.

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
