로마서 2장

1 오, 판단하는 사람아, 그러므로 네가 누구라도 너는 변명할 수 없노라. 이는 네가 다른 이를 판단하는 그것으로 네가 스스로를 정죄하기 때문이니, 판단하는 네가 동일한 짓들을 행하기 때문이라.

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

2 그러나 우리가 확실히 아노니, 하나님의 심판은 그런 짓들을 저지르는 자들을 진리에 따라 대적하는도다.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

3 오, 그런 짓들을 행하는 그들을 판단하면서 동일한 짓을 행하는 사람아, 그런즉 너는 네가 하나님의 심판을 면하게 되리라고 생각하느냐?

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

4 아니면 하나님의 선하심이 너를 회개로 이끄시는 것을 모른 채, 네가 그분의 선하심과 관용과 오래 참으심의 부요함을 멸시하는 것이냐?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5 오직 너의 완고함과 회개하지 아니하는 마음을 따라 진노의 날이요, 하나님의 의로운 심판이 드러나는 날을 대비하여 너 자신에게 진노를 쌓아 올리는도다.

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6 그분께서 모든 사람에게 각인의 행실들에 따라 되갚아 주시리라.

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 인내로 꾸준하게 잘 행하면서 영광과 존귀와 불멸을 추구하는 자들에게는 영생으로 되갚아 주시리라.

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 그러나 논쟁하기 좋아하며 진리에 순종하지 않고 오히려 불의에 순종하는 자들에게는 격분과 진노로 되갚아 주시리라.

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

9 악을 행하는 모든 사람의 혼 위에 저마다 환란과 극심한 고통으로 되갚아 주시리니, 먼저 유대인에게요, 또 이방인에게도 그리하시리라.

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

10 그러나 선을 행사하는 모든 사람에게 저마다 영광과 존귀와 평안으로 되갚아 주시리니, 먼저 유대인에게요, 그리고 이방인에게도 그리하시리라.

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

11 이는 하나님께는 외모들을 보는 일이 전혀 없으시기 때문이라.

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

12 이는 율법 없이 죄를 지은 자들도 모두 율법 없이 멸망할 것이기 때문이라. 그런즉 율법 안에서 죄를 지은 자들은 다 율법으로 심판을 받으리라.

12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

13 (이는 율법을 듣는 자들이 하나님 앞에서 정당한 것이 아니요, 오직 율법을 실행하는 자들만이 정당함을 입증받을 것이기 때문이라.

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 이는 율법이 없는 이방인들이 본성으로 율법 안에 포함된 일들을 행할 때면 율법이 없어도 이것들이 자신에게 율법이 되기 때문이라.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 이것들은 그들 마음속에 기록된 율법의 행위를 보여 주나니, 그들의 양심도 증거하고 그들의 생각들이 서로 고소하거나 서로 변명하는 동안 증거하느니라.)

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 하나님께서 나의 복음에 따라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 사람들의 은밀한 것들을 심판하실 그날에 그리하시리라.

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

17 보라, 너는 유대인으로 불리고 율법 안에서 안식하며 하나님을 네 자랑으로 삼고,

17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

18 그분의 뜻을 알며 율법에서 나온 것들로 가르침을 받으면서 더 훌륭한 것들을 검증하며,

18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

19 너 스스로 눈먼 자들의 안내자이자 어둠 속에 있는 자들의 빛이라고 자신하고,

19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

20 율법 안에 있는 지식의 본과 진리의 본을 갖춘 자로서 어리석은 자들의 교사요, 아기들의 선생이라고 자신하는도다.

20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

21 그러할진대 다른 이를 가르치는 네가 너 자신은 가르치지 아니하느냐? 네가 사람이 도둑질하면 안 된다고 선포하면서 너는 도둑질하느냐?

21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

22 네가 사람이 간음을 저지르면 안 된다고 말하면서 너는 간음을 저지르느냐? 네가 우상들을 혐오하면서 너는 신전 물건을 훔치느냐?

22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 율법을 네 자랑으로 삼는 네가 율법을 어겨서 하나님을 욕되게 하느냐?

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

24 기록된 바와 같으니, “이는 너희로 말미암아 하나님의 이름이 이방인들 가운데서 모독을 받기 때문이라.” 하였도다.

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

25 이는 네가 율법을 지킨다면 할례가 진실로 유익하기 때문이라. 그러나 만일 네가 율법의 위반자가 된다면 너의 할례는 무할례가 되느니라.

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

26 그러할진대 만일 무할례자가 율법의 의를 지킨다면 그의 무할례는 할례로 여겨지지 아니하겠느냐?

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

27 그리고 본성적으로 무할례자가 율법을 성취한다면 법조문과 할례를 가지고도 율법을 위반하는 너를 판단하지 아니하겠느냐?

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

28 이는 표면적으로 유대인인 자가 유대인이 아니요, 표면상 육체에 받는 할례도 그 할례가 아니기 때문이라.

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 오직 내면적으로 유대인인 자가 유대인이요, 마음의 할례가 할례이니, 영 안에 있고 법조문에 있지 아니하도다. 그들의 찬사는 사람들에게서 나오는 것이 아니요, 오직 하나님께로부터 나오느니라.

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
