고린도전서 9장

1 내가 사도가 아니냐? 내가 자유롭지 아니하냐? 내가 우리 주이신 예수 그리스도를 목격하지 아니하였느냐? 너희는 주 안에서 나의 수고의 결과가 아니냐?

1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

2 혹 내가 다른 이들에게는 사도가 아닐지라도 여전히 내가 너희에게 사도임은 의심의 여지가 없느니라. 이는 주 안에서 너희가 나의 사도직의 인장이기 때문이라.

2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

3 나를 심문하는 자들에게 나의 답변은 이것이라.

3 Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,

4 우리에게 먹고 마실 권한이 없느냐?

4 Have we not power to eat and to drink?

5 우리에게 다른 사도들이 하듯이 또 주의 형제들과 게바가 하듯이 아내인 자매를 데리고 다닐 권한이 없느냐?

5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

6 아니면 우리, 곧 나와 바나바만 일하는 것을 그만둘 권한이 없는 것이냐?

6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?

7 누가 어느 때라도 자기 자신의 경비들을 들여 참전하느냐? 누가 포도원을 세우고 나서 거기에서 난 열매를 먹지 아니하느냐? 또는 누가 양 떼를 먹이고 나서 그 양 떼에서 난 젖을 먹지 아니하느냐?

7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

8 내가 사람으로서 이런 것들을 말하고 있느냐? 아니면 율법도 그 동일한 것을 말하고 있지 아니하느냐?

8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?

9 이는 모세의 율법 안에 기록되기를, “너는 곡식을 밟아 떠는 소의 입에 입마개를 씌우지 말지니라.” 하였기 때문이라. 하나님께서 소들에게 관심을 두시느냐?

9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

10 아니면 그분께서 전적으로 우리를 위하여 그것을 말씀하시는 것이냐? 의심할 것 없이 이것은 우리를 위하여 기록된 것이라. 밭을 가는 자는 소망으로 밭을 갈아야 하며 소망으로 타작하는 자는 자기 소망의 동참자가 되어야 하느니라.

10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

11 만일 우리가 영적인 것들을 너희에게 뿌렸다면 설령 우리가 너희의 육신적인 것들을 거둘 것이라고 해도 그것이 대단한 일이냐?

11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

12 만일 다른 이들이 너희에 대하여 이 권한의 동참자들이 된다면 우리는 더욱더 그렇지 않겠느냐? 그럼에도 불구하고 우리는 이 권한을 사용하지 않았노라. 오히려 우리가 그리스도의 복음을 방해하지 않도록 모든 것들을 감내하였느니라.

12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

13 너희는 거룩한 것들에 관하여 섬기는 자들이 성전에서 나오는 것들로 사는 것을 모르느냐? 또한 제단에서 시중드는 자들은 제단과 더불어 동참자들이 되는 것도 모르느냐?

13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

14 곧, 주께서도 이와 같이 복음을 선포하는 자들은 복음으로 살아야 한다고 정하셨느니라.

14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

15 그러나 나는 이런 것들을 전혀 사용하지 않았노라. 또한 나는 이런 것들을 기록하여 그 권한이 나에게 그와 같이 이행되어야 한다고 하지도 않았노라. 이는 혹 누구라도 나의 자랑을 헛된 것으로 만드느니, 내가 죽는 것이 더 낫기 때문이라.

15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

16 이는 내가 복음을 선포하여도 나에게는 자랑할 것이 아무것도 없기 때문이라. 이는 불가피한 일이 나에게 맡겨졌기 때문이라. 만일 내가 복음을 선포하지 않는다면 진정 나에게 화가 있도다!

16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

17 이는 만일 내가 이것을 자원하여 한다면 나에게 보상이 있으나 설령 나의 뜻에 반하여 할지라도 복음의 분배 사역이 나에게 위임되었기 때문이라.

17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

18 그렇다면 나의 보상은 무엇이냐? 진실로 내가 복음을 선포할 때 내가 그리스도의 복음이 값없이 선포되도록 하여 복음 안에 있는 나의 권한을 내가 남용하지 않는 것이라.

18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

19 이는 내가 모든 사람들로부터 자유로울지라도 여전히 내가 모두에게 나 자신을 종으로 만들었기 때문이니, 내가 더 많은 이들을 얻으려 함이라.

19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

20 그런즉 유대인들에게 내가 유대인같이 된 것은 내가 유대인들을 얻고자 함이요, 율법 아래 있는 자들에게 율법 아래 있는 것같이 된 것은 내가 율법 아래 있는 자들을 얻고자 함이라.

20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

21 율법이 없는 자들에게 율법이 없는 것같이 된 것은 (내가 하나님께는 율법 없는 자가 아니요, 그리스도께 율법 아래 있으나) 내가 율법이 없는 자들을 얻고자 함이라.

21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

22 내가 약한 자들에게 약한 자들같이 된 것은 내가 약한 자들을 얻고자 함이라. 내가 모든 사람들에게 모든 것들이 된 것은 내가 어떤 방식으로든지 몇 사람을 구원하고자 함이라.

22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

23 그런즉 내가 이것을 복음을 위하여 행하니, 내가 너희와 함께 복음의 동참자가 되고자 함이라.

23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

24 경주에서 달리는 자들이 모두 달려도 한 명만 상을 받는 것을 너희가 모르느냐? 너희가 상을 얻어 내기 위하여 이와 같이 달리라.

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 그런즉 우승을 위하여 분투하는 모든 사람마다 모든 것들에서 절제하느니라. 이제 그들은 썩을 수 있는 왕관을 얻어 내기 위해 그것을 행하나 우리는 썩을 수 없는 왕관을 얻어 내기 위해 행하느니라.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 그러므로 나도 그렇게 달리되, 불확실하게 달리지 아니하노라. 내가 그렇게 싸우되, 허공을 때리는 자처럼 싸우지 아니하노라.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 오히려 내가 나의 몸을 억제하고 그것을 복종하게 하노라. 이는 내가 다른 이들에게 선포한 후에 어떤 방식으로든 나 자신이 버림받은 자가 되지 않게 하려 함이라.

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
