창세기 6장

1 그리고 이러한 일이 있었으니, 사람들이 땅의 표면에서 번성하기 시작하고 그들에게 딸들이 태어났을 때,

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 하나님의 아들들이 사람들의 딸들을 보았는데 그들이 어여뻤더라. 그리하여 그들은 자신들이 택한 자들 모두를 자신들에게 아내들로 삼았더라.

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 이에 주께서 말씀하시기를, “나의 영이 사람과 더불어 항상 다투지는 아니하리니, 이는 그 또한 육체이기 때문이라. 그럼에도 그의 날들이 일백이십 년이 되리라.” 하셨느니라.

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 당시에 거인들이 땅에 있었고 그 후에도 있었으니, 곧 하나님의 아들들이 사람들의 딸들에게로 들어와서 사람들의 딸들이 그들에게 자식들을 낳았을 때라. 바로 그들이 옛적의 막강한 남자들, 곧 저명한 남자들이 되었더라.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 ¶ 그런데 하나님께서는 땅에서 사람의 사악함이 심한 것과 그의 마음의 생각들의 모든 상상마다 계속해서 악하기만 한 것을 보셨더라.

5 ¶ And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 그리고 그분께서 지상에 사람을 지으셨던 일이 주를 돌이키게 하였으니, 그 일이 그분의 마음에서 그분을 비통하게 하였더라.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 그리하여 주께서 말씀하시기를, “나는 내가 창조한 사람을 땅의 표면에서 멸망시키겠으니, 곧 사람과 짐승과 기어다니는 것과 공중의 날짐승들 모두라. 이는 그것이 나로 하여금 내가 그것들을 만든 것에 대하여 돌이키게 하였기 때문이라.” 하셨느니라.

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 그러나 노아는 주의 눈들에서 은혜를 발견하였더라.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 ¶ 이것들이 노아의 세대들이라. 노아는 의인이었고 그의 세대들에서 완전하였으며 노아는 하나님과 동행하였더라.

9 ¶ These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

10 그리고 노아는 세 아들들인 솀과 함과 야펫을 낳았더라.

10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 땅도 하나님 앞에서 부패하였고 땅이 폭력으로 채워졌더라.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 그리하여 하나님께서 땅 위를 보셨는데, 보라, 그것이 부패하였더라. 이는 모든 육체가 땅 위에서 그의 길을 부패시켰기 때문이라.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 이에 하나님께서 노아에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “모든 육체의 종말이 내 앞에 이르렀도다. 이는 땅이 그들을 통하여 폭력으로 채워졌기 때문이라. 그런즉 보라, 내가 그들을 땅과 함께 멸망시키겠노라.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14 ¶ 너는 고펠 목재로 방주 하나를 만들라. 너는 방주 안에 방들을 만들지니, 그것의 내부와 외부를 역청으로 칠할지니라.

14 ¶ Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 그리고 네가 만들어야 할 것의 형식은 이러하니라. 방주의 길이는 삼백 큐빗이 되게 하고 그것의 너비는 오십 큐빗이 되게 하며 그것의 높이는 삼십 큐빗이 되게 할지니라.

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16 너는 방주에 창문 하나를 만들지니, 위에서부터 일 큐빗으로 그것을 마감할지니라. 그리고 너는 방주의 문을 그것의 측면에 낼지니라. 너는 그것을 아래층과 이 층과 삼 층으로 만들지니라.

16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

17 그리고 보라, 나, 바로 내가 생명의 호흡이 그 속에 있는 모든 육체를 하늘 아래에서 멸망시키고자 땅 위에 물들의 홍수를 일으키노라. 그리하여 땅에 있는 모든 것마다 죽으리라.

17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

18 그러나 내가 너와 함께 나의 언약을 확립하겠노라. 그런즉 너는 방주 안으로 들어올지니, 너와 너의 아들들과 너의 아내와 너의 아들들의 아내들은 너와 더불어 들어올지니라.

18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

19 그리고 너는 모든 육체의 생명체 중에서 저마다 각각의 유형을 두 마리씩 방주 안으로 들일지니, 그것들로 하여금 너와 더불어 생존하게 하려는 것이라. 그것들은 수컷과 암컷이어야 하리라.

19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

20 날짐승들 중에서 그것들의 종류대로, 또 가축들 중에서 그것들의 종류대로, 땅의 모든 기어다니는 것 중에서 저마다 그의 종류대로, 각각의 유형에서 저마다 두 마리씩 너에게로 오게 할지니, 그것들이 생존하게 하려는 것이라.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 그런즉 너는 섭취되는 양식을 모두 너에게로 가져올지니, 너는 그것을 너에게로 모을지니라. 그리하면 그것이 너와 그것들을 위한 양식이 되리라.”

21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

22 이와 같이 노아가 실행하였으니, 하나님께서 자신에게 명령하신 모든 것대로 그가 그렇게 실행하였더라.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
