예레미야서 23장

1 나의 초원의 양들을 멸하고 흩어 버리는 목양자들에게 화가 있기를 바라노라! 주가 말하노라.

1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

2 그러므로 이스라엘의 주 하나님이 나의 백성을 먹이는 목양자들을 대적하여 이같이 말하노라. 너희는 나의 양 떼들을 흩어 버렸고 그들을 몰아냈으며 그들을 찾아보지 아니하였도다. 보라, 내가 너희 위에 너희가 행하는 것들의 악을 징벌하겠노라. 주가 말하노라.

2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

3 그리하여 내가 그들을 내쫓아서 보낸 모든 나라들에서 친히 나의 양 떼의 남은 자들을 모으겠고, 그들의 양 우리들로 그들을 다시 데려오겠노라. 그리고 그들은 열매로 가득해지고 융성해지리라.

3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

4 그리고 내가 그들을 먹일 목자들을 그들 위에 세우겠노라. 그리하면 그들이 더 이상 두려워하거나 좌절하지 아니할 것이요, 그들은 부족함도 없으리라. 주가 말하노라.

4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

5 ¶ 보라, 주가 말하노라. 그날들이 오리라. 내가 다윗에게 한 의로운 가지를 일으키겠으니, 한 왕이 통치하고 번영할 것이요, 땅에서 공의와 정의를 집행하리라.

5 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

6 그의 날들에 유다가 구원받을 것이요, 이스라엘이 안전하게 거하리라. 그리고 이것이 그의 이름이요, 그가 “주 우리의 의”라고 불려지리라.

6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

7 그러므로 주가 말하노라. 보라, 그날들이 오나니, 그들이 더 이상 말하기를, “이스라엘 자녀들을 이집트 지역에서 데리고 올라오신 주께서 살아 계시는도다.” 하지 아니하리라.

7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

8 다만, “내가 그들을 그리로 내쫓았던 곳들, 곧 모든 나라들과 북방 나라로부터 이스라엘 집의 씨를 데리고 올라오시고 이끄신 주께서 살아 계시는도다.” 하리라. 그리하여 그들이 그들의 본토 안에 거하리라.

8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

9 ¶ 예언자들로 인하여 내 안에 있는 나의 마음이 상하였도다. 나의 모든 뼈들이 흔들리는도다. 주로 인하여, 그분의 거룩한 말씀들로 인하여, 내가 술취한 사람 같고 포도주에 만취한 사람 같도다.

9 ¶ Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

10 이는 그 지역이 간음하는 자들로 가득하기 때문이라. 이는 맹세하는 것 때문에 그 지역이 애곡하기 때문이라. 광야의 쾌적한 곳들은 말라버렸고, 그들의 진로는 악하니, 그들의 전력은 옳지 아니하도다.

10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

11 이는 예언자와 제사장이 모두 속되기 때문이라. 진정 내가 나의 집 안에서 그들의 사악함을 발견하였도다. 주가 말하노라.

11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

12 이러한 이유로 그들의 길은 그들에게 어둠 속 미끄러운 길들 같으리라. 그들은 내몰리다가 그 안에서 쓰러지리라. 이는 내가 그들 위에 해악을 가져올 것이기 때문이니, 곧 그들의 감찰의 해라. 주가 말하노라.

12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

13 그리고 내가 사마리아의 예언자들 안에서 어리석음을 보았도다. 그들이 바알로 예언하고 나의 백성 이스라엘로 하여금 잘못을 범하게 하였도다.

13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

14 또한 내가 예루살렘의 예언자들 가운데 끔찍한 일을 보았도다. 그들이 간음하며 거짓말들 가운데 살아가는도다. 그들은 행악자들의 손들에도 힘을 주나니, 아무도 그의 사악함에서 떠나 되돌아오지 아니하는도다. 그들, 곧 그들 모두는 나에게 소돔 같고, 그곳의 거주자들은 고모라 같도다.

14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

15 그러므로 만군의 주가 그 예언자들에 관하여 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 그들을 쑥으로 먹이고, 그들에게 쓸개즙을 탄 물을 마시게 하겠노라. 이는 속된 것이 예루살렘의 예언자들로부터 비롯되어 전역으로 퍼져 나갔기 때문이라.

15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

16 만군의 주가 이같이 말하노라. 너희에게 예언하는 예언자들의 말들을 경청하지 말라. 그들은 너희를 허황되게 하는도다. 그들은 주의 입에서 나오는 것이 아닌, 자기들 자신의 마음에서 나오는 현시를 말하는도다.

16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

17 그들은 나를 멸시하는 자들에게 계속 말하기를, “주가 말씀하시나니, 너희는 화평을 누리리라.” 하는도다. 그리고 그들은 자기 자신의 마음의 상상을 따라 살아가는 각인에게 말하기를, “어떤 해악도 너희 위에 임하지 아니하리라.” 하는도다.

17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

18 그런즉 누가 주의 조언을 고수하여 그의 말을 알아 들었느냐? 누가 그의 말을 유의하였고, 그것을 들었느냐?

18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

19 보라, 주의 회오리바람이 노여움 가운데 나갔으니, 바로 끔찍한 회오리바람이라. 그것이 사악한 자의 머리 위에 끔찍하게 떨어지리라.

19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

20 그가 집행할 때까지, 그의 마음의 생각들을 그가 완수할 때까지 주의 분노는 되돌아오지 아니하리라. 마지막에 가까운 날들에 너희는 그것을 완전히 숙고하리라.

20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

21 내가 이 예언자들을 보낸 적이 없으나 그럼에도 그들은 달렸도다. 내가 그들에게 이야기한 적이 없으나 그럼에도 그들은 예언하였도다.

21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

22 그러나 만일 그들이 나의 조언을 고수하고 나의 백성으로 하여금 나의 말들을 듣게 하였다면, 그때 그들은 그들의 악한 길과 그들의 거동들의 악에서 그들을 돌이켰으리라.

22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

23 주가 말하노라. 내가 가까이에만 하나님이요, 멀리 떨어져서는 하나님이 아니냐?

23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

24 어느 누가 비밀스러운 장소들 안에 자신을 숨겨서 내가 그를 보지 못하게 할 수 있느냐? 주가 말하노라. 내가 하늘과 땅을 가득 채우지 아니하냐? 주가 말하노라.

24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

25 내가 그 예언자들이 말한 것을 들었는데 그들이 나의 이름으로 거짓말들을 예언하며 말하기를, “내가 꿈을 꾸었도다, 내가 꿈을 꾸었도다.” 하였도다.

25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26 거짓말들을 예언하는 예언자들의 마음속에 이것이 얼마나 오랫동안 있겠느냐? 진정 그들은 그들 자신의 마음의 속임수의 예언자들이로다.

26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27 그들의 조상들이 바알로 인하여 나의 이름을 잊어버렸듯이 그들은 각인이 모두 자기 이웃에게 알린 그들의 꿈들을 통하여 나의 백성으로 하여금 나의 이름을 망각하게 하려는 속셈이로다.

27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

28 꿈을 지닌 예언자, 그는 꿈을 알릴지어다. 그리고 나의 말을 가진 자, 그는 신실하게 나의 말을 전할지어다. 쭉정이가 밀알에게 무엇이겠느냐? 주가 말하노라.

28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

29 나의 말이 불 같지 아니하냐? 주가 말하노라. 나의 말이 바위를 산산조각 내는 망치 같지 아니하냐?

29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

30 그러므로 보라, 내가 그 예언자들을 대적하노니, 곧 저마다 자기 이웃에게서 나의 말들을 도둑질하는 자들이라. 주가 말하노라.

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

31 보라, 내가 그 예언자들을 대적하노니, 곧 그들의 혀를 놀리며 말하기를, “그분께서 말씀하시는도다.” 하는 자들이라. 주가 말하노라.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

32 보라, 주가 말하노라. 거짓 꿈들을 예언하고 그것들을 알리며 그들의 거짓말들과 그들의 경박함을 통하여 나의 백성으로 하여금 잘못을 범하게 하는 자들을 내가 대적하노라. 그럼에도 나는 그들을 보낸 적이 없으니, 그들에게 명령한 적도 없도다. 그러므로 그들은 이 백성에게 도무지 유익을 주지 못하리라. 주가 말하노라.

32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

33 ¶ 그리고 이 백성이나 예언자나 제사장이 너에게 물으며 말하기를, “주의 엄중한 부담이 무엇이냐?” 할 때, 너는 그때 그들에게 이같이 말하라. “무슨 엄중한 부담이냐? 내가 실로 너희를 버리겠노라.” 주가 말하노라.

33 ¶ And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

34 그런즉 “주의 엄중한 부담”이라고 말할 예언자와 제사장과 백성으로 말하자면, 내가 실로 그 사람과 그의 집에 형벌을 내리겠노라.

34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

35 너희는 모두 저마다 자기 이웃에게, 모두 저마다 자기 형제에게 이같이 말하기를, “주께서 무엇이라 응답하셨느냐? 그리고 주께서 무엇이라 말씀하셨느냐?” 할지니라.

35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

36 그러면서 너희는 더 이상 주의 엄중한 부담을 언급하지 말라. 이는 각인의 말이 그의 엄중한 부담이 될 것이기 때문이요, 너희가 살아 계신 하나님의 말씀들, 곧 만군의 주 우리 하나님의 말씀들을 왜곡시켰기 때문이라.

36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

37 너는 그 예언자에게 이같이 말하기를, “주께서 너에게 무엇이라 응답하셨느냐? 그리고 주께서 무엇이라 말씀하셨느냐?” 할지니라.

37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

38 그러나 너희가 “주의 엄중한 부담”이라고 말하므로 주가 이같이 말하노라. 이는 너희가 이 말, 곧 “주의 엄중한 부담”이라는 말을 하는 까닭이요, 내가 너희에게 사람을 보내며 말하기를, “너희는 ‘주의 엄중한 부담’이라 말하지 말지니라.” 한 까닭이라.

38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;

39 그러므로 보라, 나, 바로 내가 너희를 철저하게 망각하겠노라. 그리고 내가 너희를, 그리고 내가 너희와 너희 조상들에게 준 도시를 버려서 너희를 나의 면전에서 쫓아내겠노라.

39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:

40 그리하여 잊히지 아니할 영원한 치욕과 영속적인 수치를 내가 너희 위에 가져오겠노라.

40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
