예레미야서 32장

1 유다 왕 시드키야의 제십년이요, 네부카드레자르의 제십팔년에 주께로부터 예레미야에게 임한 말씀이라.

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

2 이는 그때 바빌론 왕의 군사가 예루살렘을 포위하였기 때문이라. 예언자 예레미야는 유다 왕의 집 안에 있는 감옥의 뜰 안에 갇혔더라.

2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.

3 이는 유다 왕 시드키야가 이전에 그를 가두며 이같이 말하였기 때문이라. “그러므로 너는 이같이 예언하여 말하는도다. ‘주가 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 이 도시를 바빌론 왕의 손안에 내주겠노라. 그리하면 그가 그것을 점령하리라.

3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4 그리고 유다 왕 시드키야는 칼데아인들의 손에서 탈출하지 못하고 오히려 반드시 바빌론 왕의 손안에 넘겨질 것이며, 그의 입과 입이 대면하여 말하고, 그의 두 눈이 그의 두 눈을 대면하여 보리라.

4 And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

5 그런 다음에 그는 시드키야를 바빌론으로 이끌리니, 내가 그를 찾아올 때까지 그가 거기에 있으리라. 주가 말하노라. 너희가 칼데아인들과 싸울지라도 너희는 형통하지 못하리라.’”

5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

6 ¶ 이후에 예레미야가 이같이 말하였더라. “주의 말씀이 나에게 임하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

6 ¶ And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

7 ‘보라, 너의 삼촌인 샬룸의 아들 하나므엘이 너에게 와서 말하기를, ‘아나돗 안에 있는 나의 밭을 너에게로 사들이라. 이는 그것을 살 수 있는 구속의 권리가 너에게 속하였기 때문이라.’ 하리라.’

7 Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.

8 그렇게 하여 주의 말씀대로 나의 삼촌의 아들 하나므엘이 감옥 뜰에 있는 나에게 왔고 나에게 말하기를, ‘내가 너에게 간구하노니, 베냐민 지방 안에 있으며 아나돗 안에 있는 나의 밭을 사라. 이는 상속의 권리가 너에게 속하였고 구속권도 너에게 속하였기 때문이라. 너 자신을 위하여 그것을 사들이라.’ 하였더라. 그때 나는 이것이 주의 말씀이었음을 알았도다.

8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

9 그리하여 나는 나의 삼촌의 아들 하나므엘의 밭인, 아나돗에 있는 밭을 사면서 그에게 돈으로 정확히 은 십칠 셰켈을 달아 주었도다.

9 And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

10 그러고 나서 나는 증서에 서명하였고 그것을 봉인한 후 증인들을 데려왔으며 그에게 돈을 양팔저울에 달아 주었도다.

10 And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

11 그렇게 하여 내가 매수 증서를 취하였는데 법과 관례에 따라 봉인된 것과 열려 있는 것 둘 다를 취하였도다.

11 So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:

12 그런 다음에 나는 내 삼촌의 아들 하나므엘의 목전과 매수 장부에 서명한 증인들의 면전과 감옥 뜰 안에 앉은 모든 유대인들 앞에서 그 매수 증서를 마아세야의 아들인 네리야의 아들 바룩에게 주었도다.

12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

13 ¶ 그러고 나서 나는 그들 앞에서 바룩에게 명하면서 이같이 말하였도다.

13 ¶ And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14 ‘만군의 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 이 증서들, 곧 봉인된 이 매수 증서와 열려 있는 이 증서를 둘 다 취하라. 그런 다음에 그것들을 질그릇 안에 담고 그것들이 여러 날들 동안 보관될 수 있도록 하라.

14 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

15 이는 만군의 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하기 때문이라. 집들과 밭들과 포도원들이 이 지역 가운데서 다시 소유되리라.’

15 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

16 ¶ 이때 내가 이미 매수 증서를 네리야의 아들 바룩에게 넘긴 후에 나는 주께 기도하며 이같이 말씀드렸도다.

16 ¶ Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

17 ‘아, 주 하나님이여! 보소서. 당신께서는 당신의 위대하신 권능과 펴진 팔로 하늘과 땅을 만드셨으니, 당신께 너무 어려운 일은 아무것도 없나이다.

17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

18 당신께서는 수천 명에게 인애를 보이시고 조상들의 죄악을 그들의 뒤를 이은 그들 후손들의 품 안에 갚으시나이다. 위대하신 분, 막강하신 하나님, 만군의 주가 그분의 이름이요,

18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,

19 계획에 있어서도 위대하시며 일에 있어서도 막강하시나니, 당신의 눈들이 사람들의 아들들의 모든 길들 위에 열려 있으시기 때문이니이다. 이는 각자에게 그의 길들대로 그가 행하는 것들의 열매대로 주시고자 하심이니이다.

19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

20 당신께서 이집트 지역에 표적들과 이적들을 두셨으니, 심지어 오늘날까지 이르며, 이스라엘 내에서와 다른 사람들 사이에서 오늘날과 같은 이름을 당신께 만들어 두셨나이다.

20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

21 그리고 표적들과 이적들과 강하신 손과 펴진 팔과 크나큰 공포로 당신의 백성 이스라엘을 이집트 지역에서 데리고 나오셨나이다.

21 And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

22 그리고 당신께서 그들의 조상들에게 주겠다고 그들에게 맹세하신 이 지역, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 지역을 그들에게 주셨나이다.

22 And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

23 그리하여 그들이 들어와서 그곳을 소유하였나이다. 그러나 그들이 당신의 음성에 순종하지 아니하였고 당신의 율법 가운데서 살아가지도 아니하였나이다. 그들은 당신께서 자신들에게 행하라고 명령하신 모든 것 중 아무것도 실행하지 아니하였나이다. 그러므로 당신께서는 이 모든 해악을 그들 위에 임하게 하셨나이다.

23 And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

24 토루들을 보소서. 그들이 그 도시를 점령하려고 그곳에 왔나니, 그 도시가 칼과 기근과 역병으로 인하여 그곳을 대적하여 싸우는 칼데아인들의 손안에 주어지나이다. 그리하여 당신께서 말씀하신 것이 이루어졌나니, 보소서, 당신께서 그것을 보고 계시나이다.

24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.

25 오, 주 하나님이여, 그런데 당신께서 제게 말씀하시기를, ‘돈을 주고 너에게 밭을 사들이고, 증인들을 취하라. 이는 그 도시가 칼데아인들의 손안에 주어지기 때문이라.’ 하셨나이다.”

25 And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

26 ¶ 그때 주의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하였으니, 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

26 ¶ Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

27 “보라, 나는 주요. 모든 육체의 하나님이로다. 나에게 너무 어려운 일이 어떤 것이라도 있겠느냐?

27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

28 그러므로 주가 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 칼데아인들의 손과 바빌론 왕 네부카드레자르의 손안에 이 도시를 내주겠노라. 그리하면 그가 그곳을 점령하리라.

28 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

29 그리고 이 도시를 대적하여 싸우는 칼데아인들이 와서 이 도시에 불을 놓고 그곳을 집들과 함께 태우리니, 그곳은 그들이 그 지붕들 위에서 바알에게 향을 바쳤던 곳이요, 다른 신들에게 음료 제물들을 쏟아부어 나에게 분노를 일으켰던 곳이라.

29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30 주가 말하노라. 이는 이스라엘 자녀들과 유다 자녀들이 그들의 어린 시절부터 내 앞에서 오로지 악만을 행하였기 때문이요, 이스라엘 자녀들은 그들의 손에서 나온 작업물로 나에게 오로지 분노를 일으키기만 했기 때문이요,

30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.

31 나에게는 이 도시가 그들이 그곳을 지은 날부터 오늘날에 이르기까지 나의 분노와 나의 노여움에서 나오는 도발로 존재하기 때문이라. 이는 내가 나의 얼굴 앞에서 그것을 옮기려 함이라.

31 For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

32 이스라엘 자녀들과 유다 자녀들의 모든 악으로 인함이니, 그 악은 그들이 나에게 분노를 일으키려고 행한 것으로서, 그들과 그들의 왕들과 그들의 통치자들과 그들의 제사장들과 그들의 예언자들과 유다 사람들과 예루살렘 거주자들이 그리한 것이라.

32 Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33 그리고 그들은 나에게서 등을 돌리고서는 얼굴은 돌리지 아니하였도다. 일찍 일어나서 그들을 가르치면서 내가 그들을 가르쳤어도 그럼에도 그들은 교훈을 받으려고 경청하지 아니하였도다.

33 And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.

34 오히려 그들은 나의 이름으로 불리는 그 집 안에서 자신들의 가증한 것들을 세워 그곳을 더럽혔도다.

34 But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

35 그리고 그들은 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기 안에 있는, 바알의 높은 처소들을 지었으니, 그들의 아들들과 그들의 딸들을 불을 통과하게 하여 몰렉에게 바치고자 함이라. 그들이 이러한 가증한 것을 행하여 유다를 죄짓게 한 것은 내가 그들에게 명령한 것이 아니었고, 나의 생각 속으로 들어온 것도 아니었도다.

35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

36 ¶ 그러하므로 너희가 그곳에 관하여 말하기를, ‘그곳은 칼과 기근과 역병으로 인하여 바빌론 왕의 손안에 넘겨지리라.’ 하는 이 도시에 관하여 이제는 이스라엘의 하나님인 주가 이같이 말하노라.

36 ¶ And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

37 보라, 내가 나의 분노 가운데서, 나의 노여움 가운데서 크나큰 진노 가운데서 내가 그들을 그리 몰아낸 모든 나라들에서 그들을 모으겠노라. 그리하여 내가 그들을 이 장소로 다시 데려오겠으며, 내가 그들을 안전하게 거하게 하겠노라.

37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38 그리고 그들은 나의 백성이 될 것이요, 나는 그들의 하나님이 되겠노라.

38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39 그리고 내가 그들의 축복과 그들의 뒤를 잇는 그들의 자녀들의 축복을 위하여 그들이 영원토록 나를 두려워할 수 있도록 그들에게 한마음과 한 길을 주겠노라.

39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40 그리고 내가 그들과 영원한 언약을 맺겠으니, 나는 그들로부터 다른 데로 돌이키지 아니하여 그들에게 선을 행하리라는 것이라. 다만 나는 그들이 나를 떠나지 아니하도록 그들의 마음속에 나에 대한 두려움을 두겠노라.

40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 진정 내가 그들을 크게 기뻐하였으니, 그들에게 선을 행하고자 함이요, 나는 나의 온 마음과 나의 온 혼으로 그들을 이 지역에 명백히 심겠노라.

41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

42 이는 주가 이같이 말하기 때문이라. 내가 이 모든 크나큰 해악을 이 백성 위에 가져온 것처럼 그와 같이 나는 내가 그들에게 약속한 모든 축복을 그들 위에 가져오겠노라.

42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

43 그런즉 너희가 이 토지에 관하여 말하기를, ‘그것이 사람이나 짐승이 없이 황량해졌도다. 그것이 칼데아인들의 손안에 주어지는도다.’ 한 이 토지에서 밭들이 매수되리라.

43 And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

44 사람들이 베냐민 지역과 예루살렘 주변 처소들과 유다의 도시들과 산들의 도시들과 골짜기의 도시들과 남쪽 도시들 안에서 돈을 주어 밭들을 매수하고 증서들에 서명하여 그것들을 봉인하고 증인들을 취하리라. 이는 내가 그들의 포로들을 귀환하게 할 것이기 때문이라. 주가 말하노라.”

44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
