욥기 24장
1 전능하신 분께 시간들이 숨겨지지 아니한 것을 알면서도 어찌하여 그분을 모르는 자들이 그분의 날들을 보는가?
1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
2 어떤 이들은 경계표들을 옮기는도다. 그들은 폭력적으로 양 떼들을 빼앗아 가서 그것을 먹는도다.
2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
3 그들은 아버지 없는 자의 나귀를 몰아가는도다. 그들은 과부의 소를 담보물로 가져가는도다.
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4 그들은 빈곤한 자들을 길에서 내쫓아 버리나니, 땅의 가난한 자들이 자기들끼리 함께 숨는도다.
4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
5 보라, 사막 안에 있는 야생 나귀들같이 그들은 자신들의 일로 나아가며 먹잇감을 위하여 일찌감치 일어나는도다. 광야가 그들을 위해서도, 그들의 자식들을 위해서도 양식을 내어 주는도다.
5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
6 그들이 모두 저마다 자신의 곡식을 밭에서 수확하는도다. 또 그들이 사악한 자의 포도 수확을 거두어들이는도다.
6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
7 그들은 헐벗은 자들로 하여금 입을 옷도 없이 묵게 하나니, 그들이 추위에 덮을 것이 없도다.
7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
8 그들은 산들의 소나기들에 젖고, 대피처가 없어서 바위를 껴안는도다.
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9 그들이 아버지 없는 자를 가슴에서 빼내며, 가난한 자의 담보물을 가져가는도다.
9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
10 그들이 그를 입을 옷도 없이 헐벗은 채 가게 하나니, 그들이 배고픈 자에게서 곡식 단을 갈취하는도다.
10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
11 그들이 자신들의 담장들 안에서 기름을 만들고 자신들의 포도즙 틀들을 밟으며 목마름으로 고통받는도다.
11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12 사람들이 그 도시에서 나와서 신음하나니, 상처 입은 자들의 혼이 소리지르는도다. 그럼에도 하나님께서 그들에게 우둔함을 탓하지 아니하시는도다.
12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
13 그들은 빛을 거슬러 반역하는 자들에 속하는도다. 그들은 그 빛의 길들을 모르며, 그 빛의 행로들 안에 거하지도 아니하는도다.
13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14 햇빛과 함께 일어나는 그 살인자는 가난한 자와 빈곤한 자를 죽이며, 밤에는 한 도둑과 같도다.
14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15 간음하는 자의 눈도 황혼을 기다리며 말하기를, ‘어떤 눈도 나를 보지 못하리라.’ 하는도다. 그러면서 자신의 얼굴을 변장하는도다.
15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
16 어둠 속에서 그들은 집들을 뚫나니, 그 집들은 그들이 자신들을 위하여 낮 시간에 미리 표를 해 둔 곳들이라. 그들은 빛을 모르는도다.
16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
17 이는 그들에게 아침이 바로 사망의 그림자와 같기 때문이라. 혹 누군가 그들을 안다면 그들은 사망의 그림자의 공포들 속에 있도다.
17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18 그는 물들같이 빠르도다. 그들의 몫은 땅에서 저주받는도다. 그는 포도원들의 길을 보지 못하는도다.
18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
19 가뭄과 더위가 눈 녹은 물들을 소진시키나니, 음부도 죄지은 자들을 그와 같이 소진시키는도다.
19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
20 태가 그를 잊으리라. 벌레가 그를 달게 먹으리라. 그가 더 이상 기억되지 아니하리라. 또 사악함이 나무같이 부러지리라.
20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
21 그가 아이를 낳지 못하는 불임인 자를 악하게 다루는도다. 또 과부에게 선을 행하지 아니하는도다.
21 He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
22 그는 또한 자기 능력으로 막강한 자들을 끌어내는도다. 그가 일어나면 어떤 사람도 생명을 확신하지 못하는도다.
22 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
23 비록 자신이 안식하는 곳에 안전하게 있는 일이 그에게 주어진다 해도, 여전히 그분의 눈들은 그들의 길들 위에 있도다.
23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
24 그들은 잠시 동안 크게 높여지나 떠나가고 낮아지는도다. 그들은 다른 모든 이들같이 길에서 제하여지고 곡식 이삭들의 맨 윗부분들같이 잘려 나가는도다.
24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
25 그런즉 설령 지금은 그것이 그렇지 아니한다 해도 누가 나를 거짓말쟁이로 만들고 내가 하는 말을 아무 가치 없는 것으로 만들겠느냐?”
25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
