1 오, 너희, 제사장들아, 그런즉 이제 이 명령은 너희를 위한 것이라.
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
2 만일 너희가 들으려 하지 아니하고, 혹 너희가 그것을 마음에 두고자 하지 아니하여 나의 이름에 영광을 돌리지 아니하는 경우, 만군의 주가 말하노라. 나는 심지어 너희에게 저주를 보내겠으니, 나는 너희의 복들을 저주하겠노라. 진정 내가 이미 그것들을 저주하였노라. 이는 너희가 그것을 마음에 두지 아니하기 때문이라.
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3 보라, 내가 너희 씨를 썩혀서 똥을 너희 얼굴 위에 펴 바르겠으니, 곧 너희의 엄숙한 명절들의 똥이라. 그런 다음에는 누군가가 너희를 그 똥과 함께 제거하리라.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4 그리하면 너희는 내가 너희에게 이 명령을 보냈다는 것을 알게 되리니, 나의 언약이 레위와 함께 있게 하려 함이라. 만군의 주가 말하노라.
4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
5 나의 언약은 생명과 화평에 관한 것으로서 레위와 함께 있었도다. 그리고 그가 나를 두려워하고 나의 이름 앞에서 무서워하였던 그 두려움으로 인하여 나는 그에게 그것들을 주었노라.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 그의 입안에는 진리의 법이 있었고 그의 입술 안에서는 죄악이 발견되지 아니하였도다. 그는 화평과 공평 안에서 나와 동행하였고 많은 이들을 죄악으로부터 돌이켰도다.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 이는 제사장의 입술은 지식을 지켜야 하고, 그들은 제사장의 입에서 율법을 찾아야 하기 때문이라. 이는 그가 만군의 주의 전령이기 때문이라.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8 그러나 너희가 그 길에서 떠났도다. 너희는 많은 이들이 율법에 걸려 넘어지도록 야기시켰도다. 너희는 레위의 언약을 부패시켰도다. 만군의 주가 말하노라.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
9 그러므로 너희가 나의 길들을 지키지 아니하였고 오히려 율법에 있어서 편파적이었던 대로, 나 또한 너희를 모든 백성들 앞에서 업신여길 만하고 천하게 만들었노라.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10 우리 모두에게는 유일하신 아버지가 계시지 아니하냐? 유일하신 하나님께서 우리를 창조하지 아니하셨느냐? 어찌하여 우리가 우리 조상들의 언약을 욕되게 함으로써 모두 저마다 자기 형제를 대적하여 배신하느냐?
10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 ¶ 유다는 배신하였고, 이스라엘과 예루살렘에서는 가증함이 벌어졌도다. 이는 유다가 자기가 사랑하던 주의 거룩하심을 욕되게 하였고 한 타국 신의 딸과 혼인하였기 때문이라.
11 ¶ Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
12 주가 이런 일을 행하는 그 사람과 그 스승과 그 학자를 야곱의 장막들에서 끊어 버리리니, 만군의 주께 제물을 바치는 자도 그러하리라.
12 The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
13 그리고 너희는 눈물들과 울음과 부르짖음으로 주의 제단을 덮으면서도 다시 이런 일을 행하였나니, 더 이상 그가 봉헌물을 유념하지 아니하고 그것을 너희 손에서 선한 뜻으로 받아들이지 아니할 정도가 되었도다.
13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
14 ¶ 그럼에도 너희는 말하기를, “어떤 이유이니이까?” 하는도다. 이는 주가 너와 너의 젊은 시절의 아내 사이에 증인인 까닭이니, 너는 너의 아내에 대하여 배신하였도다. 여전히 그녀는 너의 벗이요, 너의 언약의 아내로다.
14 ¶ Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15 그리고 그가 영의 여분이 있었음에도 불구하고 그가 하나로 만들지 아니하였느냐? 그런즉 어찌하여 하나더냐? 이는 그가 경건한 씨를 찾고자 함이라. 그러므로 너희 영을 주의하라. 그리하여 아무도 자기 젊은 시절의 아내를 대적하여 배신하지 말지어다.
15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 이는 이스라엘의 하나님인 주가 말하기 때문이니, 그는 아내를 버리는 행위를 증오하노라. 이는 누군가가 자기 의복으로 폭력을 덮어 버리기 때문이라. 만군의 주가 말하노라. 그러므로 너희의 영을 주의하여 너희는 배신하지 말라.
16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
17 ¶ 너희는 너희의 말들로 주를 지치게 하였도다. 그럼에도 너희가 말하기를, “어떤 점에서 저희가 그분을 지치게 하였나이까?” 하는도다. 너희가 말하기를, “악을 행하는 모든 자마다 주의 목전에서 선하니, 그분께서 그들을 크게 즐거워하시는도다.” 하거나 “하나님의 공의가 어디 있느냐?” 할 때 그리하였도다.
17 ¶ Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
