1 마지막으로 나의 형제들아, 주를 크게 기뻐하라. 너희에게 같은 것들을 쓰는 것이 나에게는 정녕 고되지 않으며, 오히려 너희를 위해서는 그것이 안전하니라.
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 개들을 주의하며 악한 일꾼들을 주의하고 할례파들을 주의하라.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3 이는 영 안에서 하나님을 경배하고 그리스도 예수를 크게 기뻐하며 육신에 신뢰를 두지 않는 우리야말로 할례자들이기 때문이라.
3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
4 나 역시 육신에 신뢰를 둘 수 있으나 그리하지 아니하노라. 만일 다른 어떤 사람이 그가 육신을 신뢰할 만한 것이 자신에게 있다고 생각한다면, 나는 더욱 그러하니,
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 팔 일째에 할례를 받았으며, 계통으로는 이스라엘에 속했고, 베냐민 지파에 속했으며, 히브리인들 중의 히브리인이요, 율법에 관련해서는 바리새파 사람이고,
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 열심으로 말할 것 같으면 교회를 박해하였으며, 율법 안에 있는 의와 관련해서는 비난받을 일이 없었노라.
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 그러나 내게 이득이었던 어떤 것들이라도, 나는 그것들을 그리스도를 위하여 손실로 여겼느니라.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 진정 의심할 여지없이 그리스도 예수 나의 주의 지식의 탁월함으로 인하여 내가 모든 것들을 다만 손실로 여기노라. 내가 그분을 위하여 모든 것들의 손실을 감내하고 그것들을 다만 배설물로 여김은 내가 그리스도를 쟁취하기 위함이요,
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 또 율법에서 비롯된 나 자신의 의가 아닌, 그리스도의 믿음을 통하여 난 의, 곧 믿음으로 말미암은 하나님의 의를 가지고 그분 안에서 발견되고자 함이며,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 내가 그분의 죽으심에 일치되어, 그분과 그분의 부활의 권능과 그분의 수난들의 교제를 알고자 함이니,
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 어떤 방식으로든 내가 죽은 자들의 부활에 도달하려는 것이라.
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 내가 이미 도달한 것처럼 하지 않았으며, 이미 완전한 것처럼 하지도 않았느니라. 다만 내가 그것을 붙잡을 수만 있다면, 그것을 위하여 내가 그리스도 예수께 붙잡혀 있으므로 나 또한 뒤따라가노라.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 형제들아, 나는 나 자신이 그것을 붙잡은 것으로 여기지 아니하노라. 오직 내가 행하는 한 가지는 이것이니, 곧 뒤에 있는 그러한 것들을 잊어버리고 앞에 있는 그러한 것들을 향하여 손을 뻗어
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 고귀한 부르심의 상을 위하여 내가 그 푯대를 향해 밀고 나아가는 것이라.
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 그러므로 완전하게 된 우리는 모두 이와 같은 생각을 갖게 될지니, 만일 어떤 일에서 너희가 다른 생각을 갖게 된다면, 하나님께서 이것도 너희에게 계시하시리라.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 그럼에도 불구하고 우리가 이미 도달한 부분에서는 우리가 같은 규칙대로 살아가고 우리가 같은 것을 생각하자.
16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
17 형제들아, 너희는 함께 나를 따르는 자들이 되라. 그리고 너희가 우리를 본보기로 삼은 것같이 그와 같이 살아가는 자들을 유의하여 보라.
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18 (이는 내가 너희에게 종종 말한 적이 있고, 지금도 너희에게 눈물을 흘리면서까지 말하노니, 그들, 곧 많은 이들이 그리스도의 십자가의 원수들로 살아가기 때문이라.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 그들의 끝은 멸망이요, 그들의 하나님은 그들의 배요, 그들의 영광은 그들의 수치 속에 있으며, 그들은 땅의 일들을 생각하느니라.)
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 이는 우리의 생활 방식이 하늘에 있기 때문이라. 우리는 또한 그곳으로부터 오시는 구원자를 고대하나니, 곧 주 예수 그리스도시라.
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 그분께서 우리의 천한 몸을 변화시키시어 그것이 그분의 영광스러운 몸같이 변모되게 하시리니, 그분께서는 그것으로 인한 역사하심에 따라 심지어 모든 것들을 자신에게로 능히 복종케 하실 수 있느니라.
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
