이사야서 10장

1 불의한 율령들을 결의하는 자들과 자신들이 제정한 가혹한 법을 기록하는 자들에게 화가 있기를 바라노니,

1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

2 그들은 과부들을 그들의 먹이가 되게 하려고, 아버지 없는 자들을 강탈하려고 빈곤한 자들을 재판에서 제쳐 두고 나의 백성 중 가난한 자들에게서 권리를 빼앗는도다!

2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

3 그리하면 감찰의 날에, 또 먼 곳으로부터 올 황량함 속에서 너희가 무엇을 하겠느냐? 너희가 도움을 청하려고 누구에게 도망하겠느냐? 또 너희가 어디에 너희의 영광을 남겨 두겠느냐?

3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

4 나 없이 그들은 속박된 자들 아래에서 숙여 절할 것이요, 그들은 살해당한 자들 아래에서 쓰러지리라. 이 모든 것으로도 그의 분노가 돌이켜지지 아니하고 오히려 그의 손이 계속 뻗어 있도다.

4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

5 ¶ 오, 아시리아인아, 나의 분노의 막대기와 그들의 손에 있는 지팡이는 나의 격분이라.

5 ¶ O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

6 내가 위선적인 민족을 대적하여 그를 보내겠노라. 또 나의 진노의 백성을 대적하여 내가 그에게 책무를 주겠으니, 약탈물을 취하고, 전리품을 취하며 그들을 거리들의 진창처럼 짓밟고자 함이라.

6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

7 하지만 그는 그러한 뜻을 품지 아니하나니, 그의 마음도 그렇게 생각하지 아니하는도다. 오히려 적지 않은 수의 민족들을 멸하고 끊어 버리는 것이 그의 마음속에 있도다.

7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

8 이는 그가 이렇게 말하기 때문이라. “나의 통치자들은 전부 왕들이 아니냐?

8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?

9 칼노는 카르케미시 같지 아니하냐? 하맛은 아르팟 같지 아니하냐? 사마리아는 다마스쿠스 같지 아니하냐?

9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

10 나의 손이 우상들의 왕국들을 발견하였으므로 그들의 조각된 형상들은 예루살렘의 형상들과 사마리아의 형상들을 더 능가하였도다.

10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

11 내가 사마리아와 그녀의 우상들에게 행하였듯이 내가 예루살렘과 그녀의 우상들에게 그와 같이 행하지 못하겠느냐?”

11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

12 그러므로 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주가 그의 모든 일을 시온산 위와 예루살렘에 완수하였을 때 나는 아시리아 왕의 완강한 마음의 열매와, 그의 도도한 눈길의 자랑을 벌하겠노라.

12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

13 이는 그가 이렇게 말하기 때문이라. “내가 내 손의 힘과 내 지혜로 그 일을 행하였도다. 이는 내가 신중하기 때문이라. 그런즉 내가 백성의 구획들을 옮겨 버렸고, 그들의 보물들을 강탈하였으며, 내가 용맹한 남자처럼 거주자들을 탄압하였도다.

13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

14 또 내 손이 백성의 재물들을 둥지같이 찾아냈으니, 마치 누군가 남겨진 알들을 주워 모으듯이 내가 온 땅을 모았도다. 그런데도 날개를 펄럭이거나, 주둥이를 열거나, 지저귀는 자가 아무도 없었도다.”

14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

15 도끼가 자신을 들고 찍는 자를 대적하여 스스로를 자랑하겠느냐? 아니면 톱이 자신을 들고 켜는 자를 대적하여 스스로를 드높일 수 있겠느냐? 마치 막대기가 자신을 들어 올리는 자들을 대적하여 스스로 휘두르려고 하는 것과 같으며, 마치 지팡이가 자신이 목재가 아닌 양 스스로를 들어 올리려고 하는 것과 같도다.

15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

16 그러므로 주, 곧 만군의 주가 그의 살진 것들 가운데 야윔을 보낼 것이요, 불이 타는 것처럼 그가 불타는 것을 그의 영광 아래에서 불붙이리라.

16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

17 그리하면 이스라엘의 빛이 불이 될 것이요, 그의 거룩한 이가 불꽃이 되리라. 그리하여 그것이 하루 만에 그의 가시나무들과 그의 찔레들을 태우고 집어삼키리라.

17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

18 그리하여 그의 숲의 영광과 그의 열매로 가득한 들의 영광을 사르리니, 혼과 몸을 모두 사르리라. 그리하면 그들은 마치 기수가 기운이 다할 때와 같으리라.

18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.

19 그리하면 그의 숲의 나무들의 나머지는 거의 없으리니, 아이라도 그것들을 기록할 수 있으리라.

19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

20 ¶ 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 이스라엘의 남은 자들과, 야곱의 집으로부터 빠져나오게 된 자들이 자신들을 친 자를 더 이상은 다시 의존하지 아니하리라. 오직 이스라엘의 거룩한 이인 주를 진리 안에서 의존하리라.

20 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 남은 자들, 곧 야곱의 남은 자들이 막강하신 하나님께로 되돌아오리라.

21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22 이는 너의 백성 이스라엘이 바다의 모래 같을지라도 실로 그들 중 남은 자만 되돌아올 것이요, 정해진 패망이 의와 더불어 넘쳐흐를 것이기 때문이라.

22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

23 이는 만군의 주 하나님이 모든 지역의 한가운데서 바로 그 결정된 패망을 이루실 것이기 때문이라.

23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

24 ¶ 그러므로 만군의 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 오, 시온에 거하는 나의 백성아, 그 아시리아인을 무서워하지 말라. 그가 이집트에 행한 방식대로 너를 막대기로 칠 것이요, 너를 대적하여 그의 지팡이를 들어 올리리라.

24 ¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

25 이는 앞으로 아주 잠시 후에 격분이 그칠 것이요, 그들이 멸망한 후에 나의 분노가 그칠 것이기 때문이라.

25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

26 그리하여 만군의 주가 오렙 바위에서 미디안의 살육을 따라 그에게 휘둘러 채찍질을 하리라. 그리고 그의 막대기가 바다 위에 있었듯이 그가 이집트의 방식대로 그것을 그렇게 들어 올리리라.

26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

27 또 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 그의 짐이 너의 어깨에서 제거될 것이요, 그의 멍에가 너의 목에서 제거되리니, 그 멍에는 기름 부음으로 인하여 파괴되리라.

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

28 그가 아얏에 이르렀으며, 그가 미그론으로 넘어왔도다. 그가 믹마시에 자기 수하물들을 쌓아 올렸도다.

28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

29 그들이 통행로를 건너갔도다. 그들이 그바에다 자신들의 숙소를 잡았도다. 라마흐가 무서워하는도다. 사울의 기브아가 도망하였도다.

29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

30 오, 갈림의 딸아, 너의 목소리를 높이라. 오, 불쌍한 아나돗아, 너의 목소리가 라이시까지 들리게 하라.

30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

31 맛메나는 옮겨졌도다. 게빔의 거주자들은 자기들끼리 함께 모여 도망하는도다.

31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

32 그날에는 여전히 그가 놉에 남아 있을 것이라. 그는 시온의 딸의 산, 곧 예루살렘의 언덕을 대적하여 그의 손을 흔들리라.

32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

33 보라, 주, 곧 만군의 주가 공포로 그 원가지를 꺾으리라. 그리하면 키 큰 자들이 찍혀 쓰러질 것이요, 거만한 자들이 겸손해지리라.

33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

34 그리고 그가 철을 가지고 숲의 무성한 잡목들을 베어 쓰러뜨릴 것이요, 레바논이 막강한 이에 의하여 쓰러지리라.

34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
