이사야서 31:1

1 도움을 얻으려고 이집트로 내려가는 자들에게 화가 있기를 바라노라. 또 그것들의 수가 많다는 이유로 말들을 의존하고 병거들을 신뢰하는 자들과 그들이 아주 강하다는 이유로 기병들을 신뢰하는 자들도 그러하도다. 그러면서도 그들은 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분을 바라보지 아니하고, 주를 찾지도 아니하는도다!

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

이사야서 31:2

2 그러나 그분께서는 또한 지혜로우시어 해악을 가져오실 것이요, 그분의 말씀들을 철회하지 아니하시리라. 오히려 행악자들의 집을 대적하고, 죄악을 조장하는 자들의 도움을 대적하여 일어나시리라.

2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

이사야서 31:3

3 이제 이집트인들은 사람이지, 하나님이 아니로다. 또 그들의 말들은 육체이지, 영이 아니로다. 주께서 자신의 손을 뻗으실 때는 도움을 주는 자도 쓰러질 것이요, 도움을 받는 자도 쓰러지리니, 그들 모두가 함께 망하리라.

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

이사야서 31:4

4 이는 주께서 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨기 때문이라. “사자, 곧 젊은 사자가 그의 먹이 위에서 포효하는 것과 같나니, 목자들의 무리가 그를 대적하여 불려 나왔을 때 그는 그들의 음성을 무서워하지 아니할 것이요, 그들의 함성으로 인하여 자신의 몸을 낮추지도 아니하리라. 이처럼 만군의 주가 시온산을 위하여, 그곳의 언덕을 위하여 싸우려고 내려오리라.

4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

이사야서 31:5

5 새들이 날아다니는 것같이, 이처럼 만군의 주가 예루살렘을 수호하겠노라. 그가 수호하면서 또한 그것을 구출하겠노라. 또 그가 건너와서 그것을 보존하겠노라.”

5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

이사야서 31:6

6 ¶ 이스라엘 자녀들이 심각하게 반란을 일으키고 떠났던 분께로 너희는 돌아서라.

6 ¶ Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

이사야서 31:7

7 이는 그날에 모든 사람마다 자신의 은으로 된 우상들과 자신의 금으로 된 우상들을 던져 버릴 것이기 때문이니, 바로 너희 자신의 손이 죄를 지으려고 너희에게 만들어 둔 것들이라.

7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

이사야서 31:8

8 ¶ 그때 그 아시리아인이 칼에 쓰러지리니, 막강한 남자의 칼에 의한 것이 아니요, 미천한 남자의 것도 아닌 칼이 그를 집어삼키리라. 그러나 그가 그 칼로부터 도망할 것이요, 그의 청년들은 패주하게 되리라.

8 ¶ Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

이사야서 31:9

9 그리고 그가 두려움으로 인하여 자신의 강한 요새로 넘어올 것이요, 그의 통치자들이 그 기치를 무서워하리라. 그의 불이 시온 안에 있으며 그의 용광로가 예루살렘 안에 있는 주가 말하노라.

9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
