이사야서 11장

1 그리고 이새의 본줄기에서 한 어린 가지가 나올 것이요, 그의 뿌리들에서 한 가지가 자라리라.

1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 그리고 주의 영이 그의 위에 머무르시리니, 지혜와 명철의 영이요, 계획과 막강함의 영이요, 지식의 영과 주를 두려워함의 영이라.

2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

3 그리하여 주를 두려워함 가운데 그를 속히 명철하게 하리라. 그리하면 그는 자신의 두 눈에 보이는 대로 판단하지 아니할 것이요, 자신의 두 귀에 들리는 대로 책망하지도 아니하리라.

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 그러나 그가 의로 가난한 자들을 재판하고, 땅의 온유한 자들을 위해서 공평으로 책망하리라. 그리고 그가 그의 입의 막대기로 땅을 칠 것이요, 그가 그의 입술의 호흡으로 사악한 자를 살해하리라.

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

5 그리하여 의가 그의 허리에 띠가 되고, 신실함이 그의 뒤허리에 띠가 되리라.

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

6 또한 늑대가 어린양과 함께 지낼 것이요, 표범이 새끼 염소와 함께 드러누우리라. 또 송아지와 어린 사자와 살찌운 가축들이 함께하리라. 그리고 어린아이가 그들을 이끌리라.

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 그리고 암소와 곰이 함께 먹을 것이요, 그것들의 새끼들이 함께 누우리라. 그리고 사자가 소처럼 짚을 먹으리라.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 또한 젖 먹는 아이가 독뱀의 구멍 위에서 놀 것이요, 젖을 뗀 아이는 코카트리스의 굴에 그의 손을 넣으리라.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

9 그것들이 나의 거룩한 산 모든 곳에서 다치지 않을 것이요, 멸망하지도 않으리라. 이는 물들이 바다를 덮듯이 땅이 주의 지식으로 충만할 것이기 때문이라.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

10 ¶ 그리고 그날에 이새의 뿌리가 있으리니, 그것이 백성의 기치로 서리라. 이방인들이 그것에 구할 것이요, 그의 안식은 영광스러우리라.

10 ¶ And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

11 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주가 두 번째로 다시 자신의 손을 두어 그의 백성 가운데 남은 자들, 즉 남겨질 자들을 회복시키리니, 아시리아로부터, 이집트로부터, 파드로스로부터, 쿠시로부터, 엘람으로부터, 시날로부터, 하맛으로부터, 바다의 섬들로부터 회복시키리라.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12 그리고 그가 민족들을 위하여 기치를 세울 것이요, 이스라엘의 추방자들을 결집시키고, 유다의 흩어진 자들을 땅의 네 모퉁이들에서 함께 모으리라.

12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

13 에프라임의 시기도 떠날 것이요, 유다의 대적들도 끊어지리라. 에프라임은 유다를 시기하지 아니할 것이요, 유다는 에프라임을 핍박하지 아니하리라.

13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

14 그러나 그들은 서쪽을 향하여 필리스티아인들의 어깨 위로 날아들리라. 그들은 함께 동쪽에 속한 자들을 약탈하리라. 그들은 에돔과 모압 위에 그들의 손을 올리리라. 그리고 암몬의 후손들은 그들에게 복종하리라.

14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

15 그리고 주가 이집트 바다에 있는 곶을 완전히 멸하리라. 그리하여 그가 그의 막강한 바람으로 자기 손을 강 위에서 흔들 것이요, 그것을 쳐서 일곱 물줄기로 나누어 사람들이 신발을 적시지 않고 건너가게 하리라.

15 And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

16 그리고 그의 백성 가운데 남은 자들, 곧 남겨질 자들에게 아시리아부터 대로가 생기리라. 그것은 마치 이스라엘이 이집트 지역에서 올라온 그날에 이스라엘에게 있었던 것과 같으리라.

16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
