1 오, 주여, 저희 위에 임한 것을 기억하소서. 저희의 치욕을 숙고하시고, 또 보소서.
1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2 저희의 유산은 타국인들에게, 저희의 집들은 외지인들에게 돌아갔나이다.
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3 저희는 고아들이요, 아버지 없는 자들이니, 저희의 어머니들은 과부들과 같나이다.
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.
4 저희가 돈을 내고 저희의 물을 마셨나이다. 저희의 목재가 저희에게 팔리나이다.
4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.
5 저희의 목이 박해 아래 있나이다. 저희는 수고하나 휴식이 없나이다.
5 Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.
6 저희가 빵으로 배부르려고 이집트인들과 아시리아인들에게 손을 내밀었나이다.
6 We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
7 저희 조상들이 죄를 지었더니 존재하지 아니하나이다. 그런즉 저희가 그들의 죄악들을 짊어졌나이다.
7 Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.
8 종들이 저희를 지배하였나이다. 그들의 손에서 저희를 구출하는 자가 아무도 없나이다.
8 Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand.
9 저희가 광야의 칼로 인한 저희 생명의 위기를 감수하고 저희의 빵을 얻었나이다.
9 We gat our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
10 저희의 피부는 공포스러운 기근으로 인하여 화덕처럼 검었나이다.
10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.
11 그들이 시온에서 여자들을, 유다의 도시들 안에서 숫처녀들을 강간하였나이다.
11 They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.
12 통치자들은 그들의 손으로 매달렸나이다. 장로들의 얼굴은 존경받지 못하였나이다.
12 Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.
13 그들이 청년들을 데려다가 맷돌을 돌리게 하였고, 아이들은 목재 아래에서 쓰러졌나이다.
13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.
14 장로들은 성문에서 모습을 감추었고 청년들은 그들의 음악을 중단하였나이다.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.
15 저희 마음의 즐거움이 그쳤나이다. 저희의 춤은 애곡으로 변하였나이다.
15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
16 저희의 머리에서 왕관이 떨어졌나이다. 저희가 죄를 지었나니, 저희에게 화가 있겠나이다!
16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
17 이로 인하여 저희 마음이 기진하였나이다. 이러한 것들로 인하여 저희의 눈이 흐릿하나이다.
17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.
18 황량해진 시온산으로 인하여 여우들이 그 위에 거니나이다.
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
19 오, 주여, 당신께서는 영원토록 존속하소서. 당신의 보좌는 대대로 이어지나이다.
19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
20 어찌하여 당신께서 저희를 영원토록 잊으시오며 저희를 이처럼 오랜 시간 동안 저버리시나이까?
20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?
21 오, 주여, 당신께서는 저희에게 돌이키소서. 그리하면 저희가 돌이켜지리이다. 저희의 날들을 옛날같이 새롭게 하소서.
21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
22 그러나 당신께서는 저희를 철저히 거절하셨나이다. 당신께서 저희를 대적하여 몹시 진노하시나이다.
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
