1 그런즉 형제들아, 나는 너희에게 영적인 자들에게 하듯이 말할 수 없었고 오직 육신적인 자들에게, 곧 그리스도 안에 있는 아기들에게 하듯이만 말할 수 있었노라.
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 내가 너희를 젖으로 먹였으나 음식으로는 하지 아니하였노라. 이는 지금까지 너희가 그것을 감당할 수 없었고 지금까지도 너희가 감당할 수 없기 때문이라.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 이는 너희가 여전히 육신적이기 때문이라. 이는 너희 가운데 시기와 분쟁과 분열들이 있으므로, 너희가 육신적이지 아니하냐? 또한 육신적인 사람들처럼 살아가는 것이 아니냐?
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 이는 누군가가 말하기를 “나는 바울에게 속한다.” 하는 반면 또 다른 이가 “나는 아폴로에게 속한다.” 하기 때문이니, 너희가 육신적이지 아니하냐?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 그렇다면 바울은 누구고 아폴로는 누구냐? 사역자들일 뿐이니, 주께서 각인에게 주신 그대로 너희가 그들을 통하여 믿었느니라.
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 나는 심었으며 아폴로는 물을 주었으나, 오직 하나님만이 성장하게 하셨도다.
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 그렇기에 심는 자도 아무것도 아니요, 물을 주는 자도 아무것도 아니요, 오직 성장하게 하시는 하나님만이 모든 것이라.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 이제 심는 자와 물 주는 자는 하나니라. 그런즉 모든 사람은 저마다 자기 자신의 수고에 따라 자기 자신의 보상을 받을 것이라.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 이는 우리가 하나님과 함께 수고하는 자들이기 때문이라. 너희는 하나님의 농작지요, 너희는 하나님의 건축물이로다.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 나에게 주어지는 하나님의 은혜에 따라 지혜롭고 숙련된 건축가로서 내가 기초를 놓았더니, 다른 이가 그 위에 건축하는도다. 그러나 모든 사람은 저마다 자신이 그 위에 어떻게 건축할지 주의할지니라.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 이는 놓여 있는 기초 외에 다른 기초를 놓을 수 있는 사람은 아무도 없기 때문이라. 그 기초는 예수 그리스도시라.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 이제 만일 어떤 사람이 이 기초 위에 금이나 은이나 보석들이나 목재나 건초나 그루터기로 건축한다면,
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 모든 사람의 일이 저마다 명백하게 드러나게 되리라. 이는 그날이 그것을 분명하게 밝힐 것이기 때문이요, 그것이 불에 의하여 드러나게 될 것이기 때문이라. 그런즉 그 불이 모든 사람의 일을 각각 그것이 어떤 종류인지 검사하리라.
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 만일 어떤 사람이 그 기초 위에 건축한 일이 건재하다면, 그는 보상을 받으리라.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 만일 어떤 사람의 일이 불타게 되면, 그는 손실을 겪게 되리라. 그러나 자기 자신은 구원을 받으리라. 그럼에도 마치 불에 의하여 받은 것 같으리라.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 영께서 너희 안에 거하시는 것을 너희가 모르느냐?
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 누구든지 하나님의 성전을 더럽힌다면 하나님께서 그를 멸하시리라. 이는 하나님의 성전은 거룩하고 너희는 그 성전이기 때문이라.
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18 아무도 자신을 속이지 말지니라. 너희 가운데 누구든지 이 세상 속에서 지혜로운 것처럼 보인다면 그는 어리석은 자가 될지니, 그로 하여금 지혜로워지게 하려 함이라.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 이는 이 세상의 지혜가 하나님께는 어리석음이기 때문이라. 이는 기록되기를, “그분께서 지혜로운 자들을 그들 자신의 꾀에 넘어가게 하시느니라.” 하였고,
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 또다시, “주께서는 지혜로운 자들의 생각들을 아시나니, 그것들은 헛되니라.” 하였기 때문이라.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 그러므로 아무도 사람들을 자랑하지 말지니라. 이는 모든 것들이 너희 것이기 때문이라.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
22 바울이나 아폴로나 게바나 세상이나 생명이나 죽음이나 현재의 것들이나 다가올 것들은 모두 너희 것이라.
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
23 그리고 너희는 그리스도의 것이요, 그리스도께서는 하나님의 것이라.
23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
