1 주가 이같이 말하노라. 모압의 서너 가지 불법들로 인하여 내가 그곳의 형벌을 돌이키지 아니하겠노라. 이는 그가 에돔 왕의 뼈들을 태워 석회로 만들었기 때문이라.
1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
2 그러나 내가 모압 위에 불을 보내겠으니, 그것이 크리옷의 궁전들을 집어삼키리라. 그리하여 모압이 소란과 함성과 나팔 소리와 함께 죽으리라.
2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:
3 그리고 내가 모압의 중심부에서부터 판관을 끊겠으며, 그곳의 모든 통치자들을 그와 함께 살해하겠노라. 주가 말하노라.
3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.
4 ¶ 주가 이같이 말하노라. 유다의 서너 가지 불법들로 인하여 내가 그곳의 형벌을 돌이키지 아니하겠노라. 이는 그들이 주의 율법을 멸시하였고 그의 명령들을 지키지 아니하였으며, 그들의 조상들이 좇아 살아가던 그들의 거짓말들이 그들로 하여금 잘못을 범하게 하였기 때문이라.
4 ¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
5 그러나 내가 유다 위에 불을 보내겠으니, 그것이 예루살렘의 궁전들을 집어삼키리라.
5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 ¶ 주가 이같이 말하노라. 이스라엘의 서너 가지 불법들로 인하여 내가 그곳의 형벌을 돌이키지 아니하겠노라. 이는 그들이 의로운 자를 은을 받고 팔았으며, 한 켤레의 신발을 받고 가난한 자를 팔았기 때문이라.
6 ¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
7 그들은 가난한 자들의 머리 위에 있는 땅의 티끌을 바라며 헐떡이고 온유한 자의 길을 비껴가노라. 그리고 한 남자와 그의 아버지가 같은 여인에게 들어가리니, 나의 거룩한 이름을 욕되게 하고자 함이라.
7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
8 그리고 그들이 각각의 모든 제단 옆에서 담보물로 놓인 옷 위에 자신들을 누이며, 그들은 그들의 신의 전 안에서 정죄받은 자들의 포도주를 마시는도다.
8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
9 ¶ 그럼에도 내가 그 아모리족을 그들의 앞에서 멸하였고, 그의 키는 백향목들의 높이와도 같았으며, 그는 상수리나무들같이 강하였도다. 그럼에도 나는 위에서부터 그의 열매를, 아래에서부터 그의 뿌리들을 멸하였도다.
9 ¶ Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
10 또한 내가 너희를 이집트 지역에서 데리고 올라왔고 사십 년 동안 너희가 광야를 통과하도록 이끌었으니, 아모리족의 지역을 소유하게 하였도다.
10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
11 그리고 내가 너희 아들들 가운데 예언자들을, 너희 청년들 가운데 나실인들을 일으켜 세웠노라. 오, 너희, 이스라엘 자녀들아, 실로 그것이 이와 같지 아니하냐? 주가 말하노라.
11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.
12 그러나 너희가 나실인들에게 포도주를 마시도록 주었고, 예언자들에게 명령하기를, “예언하지 말라.” 하였도다.
12 But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
13 보라, 내가 곡식 단들로 가득 찬 짐수레가 눌린 것같이 내가 너희 아래에서 눌렸도다.
13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.
14 그러므로 빠른 자에게서 피난이 사라질 것이요, 강한 자가 자기 기력을 강하게 할 수 없을 것이며, 막강한 자도 스스로를 구출할 수 없으리라.
14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
15 또한 활을 다루는 자도 서지 못할 것이요, 발이 빠른 자도 스스로를 구출하지 못할 것이요, 말 타는 자도 스스로를 구출하지 못하리라.
15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
16 그리고 막강한 자들 가운데 용감한 자가 그날에는 벌거벗은 채 도망하리라. 주가 말하노라.
16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.
