1 이런 말씀들을 예수님께서 전하신 뒤에 자신의 두 눈을 하늘로 들어 올리시어 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “아버지여, 그 시각이 왔나이다. 당신의 아들을 영화롭게 하시어 당신의 아들도 당신을 영화롭게 하도록 하소서.
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 당신께서 그에게 모든 육체 위에 권능을 주신 것같이, 당신께서 그에게 주신 모두에게 그가 영생을 주게 하려 하심이니이다.
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 그런즉 이것이 영생이니, 그들로 하여금 홀로 참 하나님이신 당신과 당신께서 보내신 예수 그리스도를 알게 하려 함이니이다.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 제가 지상에서 당신을 영화롭게 하였나이다. 저는 당신께서 저에게 행하라고 주신 그 일을 완수하였나이다.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 그리고 오, 아버지여, 이제 당신께서는 세상이 있기 전에 제가 당신과 함께 지녔던 그 영광으로, 당신 자신과 함께 저를 영화롭게 하소서.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 당신께서 세상으로부터 저에게로 주신 사람들에게 제가 당신의 이름을 명백하게 나타내었나이다. 그들은 당신의 것이었으며 당신께서 그들을 제게 주셨나이다. 그리고 그들은 당신의 말씀을 지켰나이다.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 무엇이든지 당신께서 제게 주신 것들은 모두 당신께로부터 온 것임을 이제 그들이 알았나이다.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 이는 제가 당신께서 제게 주신 말씀들을 그들에게 주었기 때문이니이다. 그리고 그들이 그것들을 받아들였고, 제가 당신께로부터 나왔음을 확실히 알았으며, 그들이 당신께서 저를 보내신 것을 믿었나이다.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 제가 그들을 위하여 기도하나이다. 저는 세상을 위하여 기도하지 않고 오직 당신께서 제게 주신 자들을 위하여 기도하나이다. 이는 그들이 당신의 것이기 때문이니이다.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 그리고 저의 것이 모두 당신의 것이오며, 당신 것이 저의 것이니이다. 그런즉 제가 그들 안에서 영화롭게 되었나이다.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 그리고 이제 저는 세상 안에 더 이상 있지 아니하나 이들은 세상 안에 있으며 저는 당신께 가나이다. 거룩한 아버지여, 당신께서 소유하신 이름을 통하여 당신께서 제게 주신 자들을 지키소서. 이는 우리가 하나인 것같이 그들도 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 제가 세상 속에서 그들과 함께 있는 동안 저는 그들을 당신의 이름으로 지켰나이다. 당신께서 제게 주신 자들을 제가 지켰으며 파멸의 아들을 제외하고는 그들 중 아무도 잃어버린 바 되지 아니하였으니, 성경 기록이 성취되게 하려 함이니이다.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 그리고 이제 저는 당신께로 가나이다. 그런즉 제가 이런 것들을 세상 가운데 전하오니, 그들로 하여금 저의 즐거움을 자신들 안에서 실현하게 하려 함이니이다.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 제가 그들에게 당신의 말씀을 주었나이다. 그러자 세상이 그들을 증오하였나이다. 이는 바로 제가 세상에 속하지 아니한 것같이 그들도 세상에 속하지 아니한 까닭이니이다.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 저는 당신께서 그들을 세상으로부터 취하여 가시기를 기도하는 것이 아니라 다만 당신께서 그들을 악으로부터 지켜주시기를 기도하는 것이니이다.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 바로 제가 세상에 속하지 아니한 것같이 그들도 세상에 속하지 아니하나이다.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 당신의 진리를 통하여 그들을 성결하게 하소서. 당신의 말씀은 진리니이다.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 당신께서 세상 속으로 저를 보내신 것같이 저 또한 바로 그렇게 그들을 세상 속으로 보냈나이다.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 그리고 그들을 위하여 제가 스스로를 성결하게 구별하오니, 그들 또한 진리를 통하여 성결하게 구별되도록 하려 함이니이다.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 또한 저는 이들만을 위해서 기도하는 것이 아니니, 오히려 그들의 말을 통하여 저를 믿게 될 자들을 위해서도 기도하나이다.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 이로써 그들 모두가 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다. 아버지여, 당신께서 제 안에 계시고, 제가 당신 안에 있는 것같이 그들 역시 우리 안에서 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다. 이는 세상이 당신께서 저를 보내신 것을 믿게 하려는 것이니이다.
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 그리하여 당신께서 제게 주신 영광을 제가 그들에게 주었나이다. 이로써 우리가 하나인 것같이 그들도 하나가 되게 하려는 것이옵니다.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 제가 그들 안에 있고 당신께서 제 안에 계시니, 그들이 하나 안에서 완전해지도록 하려 함이니이다. 그리고 이로써 당신께서 저를 보내신 것과, 당신께서 저를 사랑하신 것같이 그들을 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 하여금 알게 하려 함이니이다.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 아버지여, 저는 당신께서 제게 주신 그들 역시 제가 있는 곳에 저와 함께 있도록 하겠나이다. 이는 그들로 하여금 당신께서 제게 주신 저의 영광을 보게 하려 함이니, 당신께서 세상의 기초가 세워지기 전에 저를 사랑하셨기 때문이니이다.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 오, 의로우신 아버지여, 세상은 당신을 몰랐나이다. 그러나 저는 당신을 알았으며 이들은 당신께서 저를 보내신 것을 알았나이다.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 그런즉 제가 그들에게 당신의 이름을 분명히 밝혀 왔으며 또 그것을 분명히 밝히겠나이다. 이로써 당신께서 저를 사랑하신 그 사랑이 그들 안에 있고 그들 안에 제가 있게 하려는 것이니이다.”
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
