1 메데 사람들의 씨에 속하는 아하수에루스의 아들 다리우스 제일년, 곧 칼데아인들의 국토를 다스리는 왕으로 즉위하게 된 해,
1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2 그의 통치 제일년에 나, 다니엘이 책들을 통하여 그 연수들을 이해하였는데, 그것에 관하여 주의 말씀이 예언자 예레미야에게 임하였으니, 그것은 그분께서 예루살렘의 황량함들 가운데 칠십 년을 마치시리라는 것이라.
2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 ¶ 그러므로 내가 금식하고 굵은 베를 입으며 재들을 쓴 채 주 하나님께 나의 얼굴을 고정하였으니, 기도와 간구들로 구하고자 함이라.
3 ¶ And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 그리고 나는 주 나의 하나님께 기도하고 나의 자백을 드리며 이같이 말씀드렸더라. “오, 주여, 위대하시고 무시무시하신 하나님, 곧 그분을 사랑하는 자들에게와 그분의 명령들을 지키는 자들에게 언약과 자비를 간직하시는 분이여,
4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 우리가 죄를 지었고 죄악을 저질렀으며 사악하게 행하였고 반역하였으니, 곧 당신의 규범들과 당신의 공의로운 법규들에서 떠남으로써 그리하였나이다.
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 또한 우리가 당신의 종들인 예언자들에게 경청하지도 아니하였으니, 그들은 우리의 왕들과 우리의 통치자들과 우리의 조상들과 그 지역의 온 백성에게 당신의 이름으로 전하였나이다.
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 오, 주여, 의는 당신께 속해 있으나 얼굴들의 당혹감은 오늘날과 같이 우리에게 속해 있나이다. 즉, 유다 사람들에게요, 예루살렘의 거주자들에게요, 그들이 당신을 대적하여 범법한 그들의 범법으로 인하여 당신께서 그들을 그리 내쫓으신 모든 나라들을 통틀어 가깝고 멀리 떨어진 이스라엘 모두에게이니이다.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 오, 주여, 얼굴의 당혹감은 우리에게와 우리의 왕들에게와 우리의 통치자들에게와 우리의 조상들에게 속해 있나이다. 이는 우리가 당신을 대적하여 죄를 지은 까닭이니이다.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 비록 우리가 그분을 대적하여 반역하였음에도 자비들과 용서들이 주 우리 하나님께 속해 있나이다.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 또한 우리는 주 우리 하나님의 음성에 순종하지도 아니하였으니, 그분께서 자신의 종들인 예언자들을 통하여 우리 앞에 세우신 그분의 율법들 가운데서 살아가려고 하지 아니하였나이다.
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 진정 이스라엘 전체가 당신의 율법을 위반하였으며 심지어 율법을 떠남으로써 그들은 당신의 음성에 순종하려 하지 아니하였나이다. 그러므로 그 저주, 곧 하나님의 종 모세의 율법 안에 기록된 맹세가 우리 위에 쏟아졌으니, 우리가 그분께 죄를 지은 까닭이니이다.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 그리고 그분께서는 크나큰 해악을 우리 위에 가져오심으로써 그분의 말씀들을 확정하셨으니, 그 말씀들은 친히 우리를 대적하여 전하신 것이요, 우리를 재판하였던 우리의 판관들을 대적하여 전하신 것이니이다. 이는 온 하늘 아래에서 예루살렘에서 행해진 것같이 행해진 적은 없었기 때문이니이다.
12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13 모세의 율법 안에 기록된 대로 이 모든 해악이 우리 위에 임하였나이다. 그럼에도 우리는 주 우리 하나님 앞에 우리의 기도를 올리지 아니하였으니, 우리의 죄악들에서 돌이키려고도, 당신의 진리를 이해하려고도 하지 아니하였나이다.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14 그러므로 주께서는 그 해악을 위에서 지켜보셨고 그것을 우리 위에 가져오셨나이다. 이는 주 우리 하나님께서 친히 행하시는 그분의 모든 역사들이 의로우시기 때문이요, 우리가 그분의 음성에 순종하지 아니하였기 때문이니이다.
14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 그런즉 이제 당신의 백성을 막강한 손으로 이집트 지역에서 데리고 나오시어 오늘날과 같이 스스로 명망을 얻으신 오, 주 우리 하나님이여, 우리는 죄를 지었으며, 우리는 사악하게 행하였나이다.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 ¶ 오, 주여, 당신의 모든 의에 따라 제가 당신께 간청하오니, 당신의 분노와 당신의 노여움이 당신의 도성 예루살렘과 당신의 거룩한 산으로부터 돌이켜 떠나게 하소서. 이는 저희의 죄들과 저희의 조상들의 죄악들로 인하여 예루살렘과 당신의 백성이 저희를 둘러싸고 있는 모든 자들에게 비방거리가 되기 때문이니이다.
16 ¶ O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 그러므로 이제, 오, 우리 하나님이여, 당신의 종의 기도와 그의 간구들을 들으시고, 주를 위하여 당신의 얼굴을 당신의 황량해진 성소 위에 비추소서.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 오, 나의 하나님이여, 당신의 귀를 기울이시고 들으소서. 당신의 눈들을 여시고 우리의 황량함들과, 당신의 이름으로 불리는 도성을 보소서. 이는 우리가 당신 앞에 우리의 간구들을 나타내는 것이 우리의 의로움들로 인한 것이 아니라 오직 당신의 위대한 자비들로 인한 것이기 때문이니이다.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 오, 주여, 들으소서. 오, 주여, 용서하소서. 오, 주여, 경청하시고 행하소서. 오, 나의 하나님이여, 오직 당신 자신만을 위하여 뒤로 미루지 마소서. 이는 당신의 도성과 당신의 백성이 당신의 이름으로 불리기 때문이니이다.”
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
20 ¶ 그리고 내가 말하고 기도하며 나의 죄와 나의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 자백하고 나의 하나님의 거룩한 산을 위하여 주 나의 하나님 앞에서 나의 간구를 나타내고 있었던 도중에
20 ¶ And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21 진정 내가 기도로 말하고 있었을 때, 내가 초기에 현시 가운데서 목격한 바로 그 사람 가브리엘이 빠르게 날아가라는 명을 받아 저녁 헌납물을 드리는 시간 즈음에 나를 건드렸더라.
21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 그러면서 그가 나에게 일러 주며 나와 대화하여 이같이 말하였더라. “오, 다니엘아, 나는 지금 너에게 통달함과 명철을 주려고 나왔노라.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
23 너의 간구들이 시작할 때 명령이 나왔기에 내가 너에게 보여 주려고 왔노라. 이는 네가 대단히 사랑받는 자이기 때문이라. 그러므로 그 내용을 이해하고 그 현시를 숙고하라.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
24 너의 백성과 너의 거룩한 도성 위에 칠십 주간이 확정되었으니, 이는 불법을 끝내고자 함이요, 죄들을 종결시키고자 함이요, 죄악에 대하여 화해를 이루고자 함이요, 영원한 의를 가져오고자 함이요, 현시와 예언을 완전히 봉인하고자 함이요, 지극히 거룩하신 분께 기름을 붓고자 함이라.
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 그러므로 알고 이해하라. 즉, 예루살렘을 재건하고 건축하라는 명령이 나가는 때부터 통치자인 메시아에 이를 때까지 일곱 주간과 육십이 주간이 있으리라. 실로 곤경의 때들에 그 거리와 그 성벽이 다시 건축되리라.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 그리하여 육십이 주간 후에 메시아가 끊어질 것이나 자신 때문에 끊어지는 것은 아니니라. 그리고 장차 올 통치자의 백성이 그 도성과 그 성소를 멸하리라. 그리고 그것의 끝에는 한 홍수가 있을 것이요, 그 전쟁의 끝에 이르기까지 황량함들이 확정되리라.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 그리고 그가 한 주간 동안 많은 이들과 언약을 확고하게 하리라. 그리고 그 주간의 중간에 그가 희생 제물과 헌납물을 중단시키리라. 그리고 그는 가증함들의 뒤덮음으로 그것을 황량하게 만들리니, 그 진멸에 이르기까지 그리하리라. 그리고 확정된 것이 그 황량한 것 위에 쏟아지리라.”
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
