1 그런 다음에 그들이 예루살렘에서 멀지 않고 올리브산 근처에 있는 벧파게와 베다니에 당도하였을 때 그분께서 자신의 제자들 중 두 명을 파송하시며
1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2 그들에게 이같이 말씀하시니라. “너희 맞은편 촌락으로 들어가 너희의 길을 가라. 그리고 너희가 그곳에 진입하자마자 너희는 묶여 있는 새끼 수나귀 한 마리를 발견할 것이니, 그 위에 사람이 한 번도 탄 적이 없는 것이라. 그를 풀어 주고, 그를 데려오라.
2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3 그리고 만일 어떤 사람이 너희에게 말하기를, ‘어찌하여 너희가 이렇게 하느냐?’ 하면, 너희는 주께서 그를 필요로 하신다고 말하라. 그리하면 그가 즉각 그를 여기로 보낼 것이라.”
3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
4 그러자 그들이 자신들의 길을 갔고 두 길이 만나는 장소에서 바깥 문 옆에 묶여 있는 새끼 수나귀를 발견하였더라. 이에 그들이 그를 풀어 주니라.
4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5 그러자 그들 중 거기에 서 있던 어떤 이들이 그들에게 말하기를, “너희가 그 새끼 수나귀를 푸니 무엇을 하는 것이냐?” 하였더라.
5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6 이에 그들이 예수님께서 명령하신 그대로 그들에게 말하였더라. 그러자 그들이 제자들을 가게 하였더라.
6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
7 그런즉 그들이 그 새끼 수나귀를 예수님께로 데려와서 자신들의 의복들을 그 위에 던져 놓았더라. 이에 그분께서 그 위에 타셨더라.
7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
8 그리고 많은 이들이 자신들의 의복들을 길에 펼쳤으니, 다른 이들은 나무들에서 가지들을 베어 내고 그것들을 길에 펼쳐 놓았더라.
8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 그러자 앞서 가던 자들과 뒤따르던 자들이 소리치며 말하기를, “호산나, 주의 이름으로 오시는 분께서 찬양받으시는도다.
9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10 우리 조상 다윗의 왕국이 복을 받기를 기원하노라. 그 왕국이 주의 이름으로 임하는도다. 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나.” 하였더라.
10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11 그런 다음에 예수님께서 예루살렘 안으로 들어오시어 성전 안으로 들어오셨더라. 그리고 그분께서 모든 것들을 둘러보시고 이제 저녁 무렵이 되자 친히 열두 명과 함께 베다니로 나가셨더라.
11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
12 ¶ 그리고 다음 날 그들이 베다니에서 나왔을 때 그분께서 배고프셨더라.
12 ¶ And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 그리하여 멀리 떨어진 데서 잎사귀들이 달린 무화과나무를 보시고는 혹시나 자신이 거기에서 어떤 것이라도 발견할 수 있을까 하여 친히 오셨더라. 그리고 그분께서 친히 그 나무에 다가오셨을 때 잎사귀들 말고는 아무것도 발견하지 못하셨더라. 이는 무화과들의 때가 아직 아니었기 때문이라.
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14 그러자 예수님께서 그것에게 대응하여 말씀하시기를, “이후로는 영원토록 아무도 너에게서 열매를 먹지 못하리라.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그의 제자들이 그것을 들었더라.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15 ¶ 그러고 나서 그들이 예루살렘에 이르니라. 이에 예수님께서는 성전 안으로 들어가시어 성전 안에서 팔고 사는 자들을 쫓아내기 시작하셨고, 환전상들의 탁자들과 비둘기들을 파는 자들의 자리들을 뒤엎으셨더라.
15 ¶ And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 그러고는 누구도 성전을 통과하여 어떤 기물이라도 운반하는 것을 허락하려 하지 않으셨더라.
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17 그런즉 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하며 가르치시기를, “기록되기를, ‘내 집이 모든 민족들에게 기도의 집으로 불릴 것이라.’ 하지 아니하였느냐? 그러나 너희는 그것을 도둑들의 소굴로 만들었도다.” 하셨더라.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 그러자 서기관들과 수석 제사장들이 그것을 듣고 어떻게 그들이 그분을 멸할지 모색하였더라. 이는 모든 백성이 그분의 교리에 깜짝 놀랐으므로 그들이 그분을 두려워하였기 때문이라.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
19 그러고 나서 저녁이 되자 그분께서 도시에서 나가셨더라.
19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
20 ¶ 그런데 아침에 그들이 그 곁을 지나갈 때 그 무화과나무가 뿌리들까지 말라 버린 것을 그들이 보았더라.
20 ¶ And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 그러자 베드로가 기억을 떠올리며 그분께 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 보소서, 당신께서 저주하신 그 무화과나무가 시들어 버렸나이다.” 하니라.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하며 말씀하시니라. “하나님을 믿으라.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 이는 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하기를, ‘누구든지 이 산에게 말하여, ‘너는 옮겨질지어다. 그리고 너는 바닷속으로 던져질지어다.’ 하고 나서, 자기 마음에 의심하지 않고 오히려 자신이 말한 그러한 것들이 일어나게 될 것이라고 믿을 자는 무엇이든지 그가 말하는 것을 얻게 되리라.’ 하기 때문이라.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 그러므로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘너희가 열망하는 것들이 무엇이 되었든지 너희가 기도할 때는 너희가 그것들을 받는 것으로 믿으라. 그리하면 너희가 그것들을 얻으리라.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 그리고 너희가 기도하며 서 있을 때 만일 너희가 누군가를 적대하는 어떤 일이 있다면 용서하라. 이는 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서도 너희에게서 너희의 범법들을 용서하실 수 있게 하려 함이니라.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 그러나 만일 너희가 용서하지 아니하면 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서도 너희의 범법들을 용서하지 아니하시리라.’”
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27 이후에 그들이 다시금 예루살렘에 이르니라. 그리고 그분께서 성전을 거니시는 동안 수석 제사장들과 서기관들과 장로들이 그분께 오니라.
27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 그러면서 그분께 말씀드리기를, “당신은 무슨 권위로 이런 일들을 행하는가? 또 누가 당신에게 이런 것들을 행할 이 권위를 주었는가?” 하니라.
28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “나 역시 너희에게 한 가지 질문을 하겠으니, 나에게 답하라. 그리하면 내가 무슨 권위로 이런 것들을 행하는지 내가 너희에게 알려 주겠노라.
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 요한의 침례, 그것은 하늘로부터 왔느냐 아니면 사람들로부터 왔느냐? 내게 답하라.”
30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 그러자 그들이 자기들끼리 논의하며 이같이 말하였더라. “만일 우리가 말하기를, ‘하늘로부터라.’ 하면 그가 말하기를, ‘그렇다면 어찌하여 너희는 그를 믿지 않았느냐?’ 할 것이요,
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 그러나 만일 우리가 말하기를, ‘사람들로부터 왔다.’ 하면 어찌 되겠는가?” 이는 그들이 백성을 두려워하였으니, 모든 사람들이 요한, 곧 그를 진정한 예언자였다고 여겼기 때문이라.
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33 그러자 그들이 예수님께 대답하여 말씀드리기를, “우리는 알려 줄 수 없노라.” 하였더라. 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하여 말씀하시기를, “나도 너희에게 무슨 권위로 내가 이런 것들을 행하는지 알려 주지 아니하노라.” 하시니라.
33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
