1 이후에 주께서 아론의 두 아들들이 죽은 뒤 모세에게 이야기하셨으니, 곧 그들이 주 앞에 제물을 바치고 죽었을 때라.

And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;

2 그런즉 주께서 모세에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “너의 형제 아론에게 이야기하여 그가 법궤 위에 있는 자비의 자리 앞, 휘장 안쪽 거룩한 처소 안으로 아무 때나 들어오지 않게 할지니, 그로 하여금 죽지 않게 하려 함이라. 이는 내가 자비의 자리 위에서 구름 가운데 나타날 것이기 때문이라.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

3 따라서 아론은 죄 제물로서 어린 수송아지 한 마리와 번제물로서 숫양 한 마리를 가지고 거룩한 처소 안으로 들어올지니라.

Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

4 그는 아마포로 된 거룩한 웃옷을 입을지니, 그는 그의 맨살에 아마포 속바지를 입고 아마포 허리띠를 두르며, 그는 아마포 예관을 갖추어 쓸지니라. 이것들은 거룩한 의복들이라. 그러므로 그는 물속에서 목욕하고 이처럼 그것들을 입을지니라.

He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

5 그런 다음에 그는 이스라엘 자녀들의 회중으로부터 새끼 숫염소 두 마리를 죄 제물로 취하고, 숫양 한 마리를 번제물로 취할지니라.

And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

6 그리고 아론은 자신을 위한 죄 제물로서 자신의 수송아지를 바칠지니, 자신을 위해서와 자신의 집을 위해서 속죄를 이행할지니라.

And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

7 그리고 그는 두 마리의 염소들을 취하여 그것들을 회중의 성막 문에서 주 앞에 제시할지니라.

And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

8 그리고 아론은 두 마리의 염소들 위에 제비들을 던질지니, 제비 하나는 주를 위한 것이요, 다른 하나는 면죄 염소를 위한 것이라.

And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

9 그리고 아론은 주의 제비가 그 위에 떨어진 염소를 데려가서 죄 제물로 그를 바칠지니라.

And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

10 그러나 면죄 염소가 되도록 제비가 그 위에 떨어진 염소는 주 앞에서 산 채로 제시되어야 하리니, 그를 가지고 속죄를 이행하고자 함이요, 면죄 염소로서 그를 광야 가운데로 가게 하고자 함이라.

But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

11 그런 다음에 아론은 자신을 위한 죄 제물의 수송아지를 가져오고 자신을 위해서와 자신의 집을 위해서 속죄를 이행할지니, 자신을 위한 죄 제물의 수송아지를 죽일지니라.

And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:

12 그리고 그는 주 앞에 있는 제단에서 나온 타오르는 숯불들로 가득한 향로 하나를 취할지니, 그의 두 손에 잘게 빻아진 감미로운 향이 가득한 채로 그것을 휘장 안으로 가져올지니라.

And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:

13 그리고 그는 향의 자욱한 연기가 증언 판 위에 있는 자비의 자리를 덮도록 불 위에다 그 향을 주 앞에 놓을지니, 그로 하여금 죽지 않게 하려 함이라.

And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

14 그리고 그는 수송아지의 피를 취할지니, 자기 손가락으로 그것을 자비의 자리 위에 동쪽으로 뿌릴지니라. 그러고 나서 그는 자비의 자리 앞에서 자기 손가락으로 그 피를 일곱 번 뿌릴지니라.

And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15 ¶ 그때 그는 백성을 위한 죄 제물의 염소를 죽일지니, 그의 피를 휘장 안으로 가져와서 그가 수송아지의 피로 행한 것과 같이 그 피로 행하여 그것을 자비의 자리 위와 자비의 자리 앞에 뿌릴지니라.

¶ Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

16 그런 다음에 그는 거룩한 처소를 위한 속죄를 이행할지니, 이스라엘 자녀들의 불결함 때문이요, 그들의 모든 죄들 가운데 있는 그들의 불법들 때문이라. 그런즉 그들의 불결함 가운데 그들 사이에 남아 있는 회중의 성막을 위해서 그가 이처럼 행할지니라.

And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

17 그리고 그가 속죄를 이행하려고 거룩한 처소 안으로 들어갈 때는 그가 자신을 위해서와 자신의 집을 위해서와 이스라엘의 온 회중을 위해서 속죄를 이행하고 밖으로 나올 때까지 아무도 회중의 성막 안에 있지 않도록 할지니라.

And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

18 그런 다음에 그는 주 앞에 있는 제단으로 나와서 그것을 위한 속죄를 이행할지니라. 그런즉 그 수송아지의 피를 취하고, 그 염소의 피를 취한 뒤에 그것을 제단 둘레의 뿔들 위에 바를지니라.

And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

19 그러고 나서 그는 그의 손가락으로 그 피를 그것 위에 일곱 번 뿌려서 그것을 정결하게 하고 이스라엘 자녀들의 불결함으로부터 그것을 거룩하게 할지니라.

And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20 ¶ 그리하여 그가 거룩한 처소와 회중의 성막과 제단을 위하여 화해를 이루는 것을 마무리하였을 때 그는 살아 있는 염소를 가져올지니라.

¶ And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

21 그런 다음에 아론은 살아 있는 염소의 머리 위에 그의 양손을 얹을지니, 그의 위에 이스라엘 자녀들의 모든 죄악들과 그들의 모든 죄들 가운데 있는 그들의 모든 불법들을 자백하여, 그것들을 그 염소의 머리 위에 지우라. 그런 다음에 적합한 사람의 손을 통하여 그를 광야 가운데로 보낼지니라.

And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

22 그러고 나서 그 염소는 그들의 모든 죄악들을 자기 위에 짊어지고 사람들이 거주하게 되지 않은 한 지역으로 향하리라. 그런즉 그는 그 염소를 광야 가운데 놓아줄지니라.

And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

23 그런 다음에 아론은 회중의 성막 안으로 들어올지니, 그가 거룩한 처소 안으로 들어갈 때 입었던 아마포 의복들을 벗고 거기에 그것들을 남겨 둘지니라.

And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:

24 그리고 그는 성소 안에서 물로 자신의 육체를 씻고 자기 의복들을 입고 나와 자신의 번제물과 백성의 번제물을 바칠지니, 자신을 위해서와 백성을 위해서 속죄를 이행할지니라.

And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

25 그리고 그는 죄 제물의 지방을 제단 위에서 태울지니라.

And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.

26 그리고 면죄 염소로 그 염소를 내보낸 자는 자기 옷을 빨고, 물속에서 자신의 육체를 씻으며 목욕하고 난 후에 진영 안으로 들어올지니라.

And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

27 그리고 죄 제물이 되는 수송아지와 죄 제물이 되는 염소, 곧 성소 안에서 속죄를 이행하고자 그 피를 들여오게 된 제물을 한 명이 진영 밖으로 옮겨 나갈지니라. 그런 다음에 그들은 그들의 가죽들과 그들의 고기와 그들의 똥을 불속에서 태울지니라.

And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

28 그리고 그것들을 태우는 자는 자기 옷을 빨지니, 물속에서 목욕하고 난 후에 그는 진영 안으로 들어올지니라.

And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29 ¶ 그리하여 이것은 너희에게 영원토록 규례가 되리라. 일곱째 달, 그달 십 일에 너희는 너희 혼들을 괴롭게 할지니, 너희 자국민 중 한 명이든지 너희 가운데 체류하는 타국인이든지 간에 어떤 일도 일절 하지 말지니라.

¶ And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

30 이는 그날에 제사장이 너희를 정결하게 하고자 너희를 위한 속죄를 이행할 것이기 때문이니, 너희로 하여금 주 앞에서 너희의 모든 죄들로부터 정결하게 되게 하려 함이라.

For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

31 그것은 너희에게 안식하는 안식일이 되리니, 너희는 영원토록 규례로서 너희의 혼들을 괴롭게 할지니라.

It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

32 그런 다음에 그가 기름 부을 자요, 그가 그의 아버지를 대신하여 제사장직으로 섬기도록 성별시킬 제사장은 속죄를 이행할지니, 아마포 옷, 곧 거룩한 의복들을 입을지니라.

And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:

33 그리고 그는 거룩한 성소를 위해서 속죄를 이행할 것이요, 그는 회중의 성막을 위해서와 제단을 위해서 속죄를 이행할 것이요, 그는 제사장들을 위해서와 회중의 모든 백성을 위해서 속죄를 이행할지니라.

And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

34 그런즉 이것은 너희에게 영원한 규례가 되리니, 일 년에 한 번씩 이스라엘 자녀들의 모든 죄들로 인하여 그들을 위해서 속죄를 이행하기 위함이라.” 그런즉 아론이 주께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 실행하였더라.

And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
