1 그리고 내가 성전에서 나와서 일곱 천사들에게 말하는 커다란 음성을 들었으니, “너희의 길들을 가서 땅 위에 하나님의 진노의 호리병들을 쏟아부으라.” 하였더라.
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 이에 첫째가 갔는데 그의 호리병을 땅 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 그 짐승의 표를 가진 사람들 위와 그의 형상을 경배한 자들 위에 고약하고 끔찍한 헌데가 생겼더라.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
3 다음으로 둘째 천사가 그의 호리병을 바다 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 그것이 마치 어떤 죽은 사람의 피같이 변하였더라. 그리고 모든 살아 있는 혼마다 바닷속에서 죽었더라.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 다음으로 셋째 천사가 그의 호리병을 강들과 물들의 원천들 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 그것들이 피가 되었더라.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 그리고 내가 물들의 천사가 이같이 말하는 것을 들었노라. “오, 현재에도 계시고, 과거에도 계셨으며, 미래에도 계실 주여, 당신께서는 의로우시니, 당신께서 이와 같이 심판하신 까닭이옵니다.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 이는 그들이 성도들과 예언자들의 피를 흘렸기에 당신께서 그들에게 피를 마시도록 주셨기 때문이요, 그것들이 마땅하기 때문이니이다.”
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 그리고 내가 제단에서 또 다른 이가 말하는 것을 들었으니, “과연 그러하옵니다. 전능하신 주 하나님이여, 당신의 심판들은 참되고 의로우니이다.” 하니라.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 다음으로 넷째 천사가 그의 호리병을 해 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그리고 사람들을 불로 태우는 권능이 그에게 주어졌더라.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 그러자 사람들이 엄청난 열기로 태워졌고 이런 재앙들에 대한 권능을 가지신 하나님의 이름을 모독하였더라. 그리고 그들은 회개하지 아니하였으며 그분께 영광을 돌리지 아니하였더라.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 다음으로 다섯째 천사가 그의 호리병을 그 짐승의 자리 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 그의 왕국이 어둠으로 가득하였더라. 그리고 그들은 아픔으로 인하여 자신들의 혀를 깨물었고,
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 자신들의 아픔들과 자신들의 헌데들로 인하여 하늘의 하나님을 모독하였으며 자신들의 행실들을 회개하지 아니하였더라.
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
12 다음으로 여섯째 천사가 그의 호리병을 거대한 강 유프라테스 위에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 그 강의 물이 말라 버렸으니, 동방의 왕들의 길이 예비되게 하려 함이더라.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 그리고 내가 개구리들 같은 세 불결한 영들이 그 용의 입에서와 그 짐승의 입에서와 그 거짓 예언자의 입에서 나오는 것을 보았노라.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 이는 그들이 기적들을 행하는 마귀들의 영들이기 때문이라. 그들이 전능하신 하나님의 위대한 날의 전투에 땅의 왕들과 온 세상의 왕들을 모으고자 그들에게 나아가니라.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 보라, 내가 도둑같이 오리라. 깨어 있고 자신의 의복들을 지키는 자는 복되나니, 그가 벌거벗고 다니지 않아 그들이 그의 수치를 보지 않게 하려 함이라.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 그런즉 그가 히브리어로 아마겟돈이라 불리는 장소로 그들을 한데 모았더라.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 다음으로 일곱째 천사가 그의 호리병을 대기 중에 쏟아부었더라. 그러자 하늘의 성전에서 커다란 음성이 그 보좌로부터 나왔으니, 말씀하시기를, “다 이루어졌도다.” 하셨느니라.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 그러자 음성들과 천둥들과 번개들이 있었더라. 그리고 커다란 지진 하나가 있었으니, 사람들이 땅 위에 존재한 이래로 그토록 막강하고 그토록 커다란 그와 같은 지진이 없었더라.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 그리고 그 거대한 도시가 세 부분으로 나뉘었고 민족들의 도시들이 무너졌더라. 그리고 거대한 바빌론이 하나님 앞에서 기억되었으니, 그녀에게 그분의 진노의 맹렬함의 포도주 잔을 주기 위함이라.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 그리고 모든 섬이 저마다 사라져 버렸고 산들도 발견되지 아니하였더라.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 그리고 사람들 위로 한 차례의 커다란 우박이 하늘에서 떨어졌으니, 각각 약 일 달란트 무게의 돌이었더라. 그리고 사람들이 우박의 재앙으로 인하여 하나님을 모독하였더라. 이는 그 우박의 재앙이 지극히 심하였기 때문이라.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
