1 다음으로 그분께서 일곱째 봉인을 여셨을 때 하늘에서는 약 반 시간의 간격 동안 정적이 있었더라.
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 이어서 나는 하나님 앞에 선 일곱 천사들을 보았는데 그들에게 일곱 나팔들이 주어졌더라.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 그리고 또 다른 천사가 와서 금향로를 들고 제단 앞에 섰더라. 그리고 그에게 많은 향이 주어졌으니, 그가 그것을 모든 성도들의 기도들과 더불어 그 보좌 앞에 있던 금 제단 위에 바치려 함이더라.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 그러자 성도들의 기도들과 더불어 나온 향의 연기가 그 천사의 손에서 위로 하나님 앞에 올라갔더라.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 그러고 나서 그 천사가 향로를 가져간 뒤에 그것을 제단의 불로 채웠고 그것을 땅에 내던졌더라. 그러자 음성들과 천둥들과 번개들과 한 지진이 있었더라.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 그리고 일곱 나팔들을 지닌 일곱 천사들이 나팔들을 울리려고 스스로 예비하였더라.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 첫째 천사가 나팔을 울렸더니, 피가 섞인 우박과 불이 뒤따랐고 그것들이 땅 위에 던져졌더라. 그리고 나무들의 삼분의 일이 타버렸고 모든 푸른 풀이 타버렸더라.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 다음으로 둘째 천사가 나팔을 울렸더니, 불에 타오르는 거대한 산 같은 것이 바닷속에 던져졌더라. 그리하여 바다의 삼분의 일이 피가 되었더라.
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 그리고 바닷속에 있었고 생명을 가졌던 창조물들의 삼분의 일이 죽었더라. 또한 선박들의 삼분의 일이 파괴되었더라.
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 다음으로 셋째 천사가 나팔을 울렸더니, 하늘로부터 커다란 별 하나가 떨어졌는데 등불처럼 타오르며 그것이 강들의 삼분의 일과 물들의 원천들에 떨어졌더라.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 그런데 그 별의 이름은 쑥이라고 불렸으며 물들의 삼분의 일이 쑥이 되었더라. 그러자 많은 사람들이 물들로 인하여 죽었으니, 그것들이 쓰게 된 까닭이라.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 다음으로 넷째 천사가 나팔을 울렸더니, 해의 삼분의 일이 타격을 받았고 달의 삼분의 일이 타격을 받았으며 별들의 삼분의 일이 타격을 받았더라. 그리하여 그것들의 삼분의 일이 어두워졌고 낮이 그것의 삼분의 일 동안 빛나지 아니하였으며 밤도 마찬가지였더라.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 그리고 내가 하늘 한가운데를 통과하여 날아가는 천사를 보았고 그의 말을 들었는데 큰 목소리로 말하기를, “이제부터 세 천사의 나팔에서 소리 나게 될 다른 음들로 인하여 땅에 거주하는 자들에게 화, 화, 화가 있기를 바라노라!” 하였더라.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
