1 나는 켄크레아에 있는 교회의 종인 우리의 자매 페베를 너희에게 추천하노니,

1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

2 너희는 성도들에게 당연한 일로서 그녀를 주 안에서 영접하라. 또 무슨 용무로 그녀가 너희를 필요로 하든지 너희는 그녀를 도우라. 이는 그녀가 많은 이들의 구호자가 되어 왔으며 나에게도 역시 그러하기 때문이라.

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

3 그리스도 예수 안에서 나를 돕는 이들인 프리스킬라와 아퀼라에게 인사하라.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

4 그들은 나의 생명을 위하여 자기 자신의 목까지 내려 놓았느니라. 나뿐만 아니라 이방인들의 모든 교회들도 그들에게 감사들을 표하노라.

4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

5 마찬가지로 그들의 집 안에 있는 교회에 인사하라. 나의 사랑을 크게 받는 에패네투스에게 문안하라. 그는 그리스도께 아카이아의 첫 열매들이라.

5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

6 마리아에게 인사하라. 그녀는 우리를 위해 많은 수고를 했느니라.

6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

7 나의 혈족들이자 나의 동료 수감자들인 안드로니쿠스와 유니아에게 문안하라. 그들은 사도들 가운데서 주목받는 자들이요, 나보다 먼저 그리스도 안에 있던 자들이라.

7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

8 주 안에서 나의 사랑을 받는 자인 암플리아스에게 인사하라.

8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

9 그리스도 안에서 우리를 돕는 이인 우르바네와 나의 사랑을 받는 자인 스타쿠스에게 문안하라.

9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.

10 그리스도 안에서 인정을 받는 아펠레스에게 문안하라. 아리스토불루스의 집안에 속한 자들에게 문안하라.

10 Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household.

11 나의 혈족인 헤로디온에게 문안하라. 날킷수스의 집안에 속한 자들에게 인사하라. 그들은 주 안에 있는 자들이라.

11 Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.

12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

13 주 안에서 선택받은 루푸스에게 문안하고, 그의 어머니이자 나의 어머니께 문안하라.

13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

14 아순크리투스, 플레곤, 헤르마스, 파트로바스, 헤르메스 그리고 그들과 함께 있는 형제들에게 문안하라.

14 Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.

15 필롤로구스와 율리아에게 문안하고 네레우스와 그의 자매와 올룸파스와 그들과 함께 있는 모든 성도들에게 문안하라.

15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

16 거룩한 입맞춤으로 서로 문안하라. 그리스도의 교회들이 너희에게 문안하느니라.

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

17 형제들아, 이제 내가 너희에게 간청하노라. 너희가 배운 교리를 반대하여 분열들과 실족할 거리들을 야기하는 자들을 유의하고 그들을 피하라.

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 이는 그러한 자들은 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 섬기는 것이 아니요, 다만 그들 자신의 배를 섬기는 것이기 때문이라. 그리고 좋은 말들과 그럴듯한 언변들로 순진한 자들의 마음을 속이느니라.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 이는 너희의 순종이 모든 사람들에게 널리 이르렀기 때문이라. 그러므로 나는 너희 편에서 기뻐하노라. 그러나 여전히 나는 너희가 선한 것에는 지혜롭고 악한 것에 관하여는 미련하기를 바라노라.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

20 그리하여 화평의 하나님께서 속히 너희의 발 아래에서 사탄을 상하게 하시리라. 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희와 함께 있기를 기원하노라. 아멘.

20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

21 나의 사역 동료인 디모데우스⁴와 나의 혈족들인 루키우스와 야손과 소시파테르가 너희에게 문안하느니라.

21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.

22 이 서신을 기록한 나 터티우스가 주 안에서 너희에게 문안하느니라.

22 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

23 나와 온 교회를 접대하는 집주인 가이우스가 너희에게 문안하느니라. 도시의 재무관인 에라스투스와 형제인 쿠알투스가 너희에게 문안하느니라.

23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

24 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희 모두와 함께 있기를 기원하노라. 아멘.

24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

25 이제 나의 복음과 예수 그리스도를 선포함에 따라, 너희를 확고하게 세우실 권능이 있으신 분께, 신비의 계시, 곧 세상이 시작된 이래 비밀로 지켜져 왔으나

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

26 이제는 명백하게 나타났고, 영원하신 하나님의 명령에 따른 예언자들의 성경 기록들을 통하여, 모든 민족들에게 믿음의 순종을 위해 알려진 계시에 따라,

26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

27 홀로 지혜로우신 하나님께 예수 그리스도를 통하여 영원토록 영광이 있기를 바라노라. 아멘.

27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
