1 그런데 그들이 백성에게 전하는 동안 제사장들과 성전의 대장과 사두개파 사람들이 그들에게 왔더라.
1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2 사도들이 백성을 가르치고 예수님을 통하여 죽은 자들로부터의 부활을 선포한 것에 노하여
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 그들이 사도들에게 손을 대었으며 다음 날까지 그들을 가두어 두었으니, 이때가 저녁 무렵이었기 때문이라.
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4 하지만 말씀을 들은 자들 중 많은 이들이 믿었으니, 남자들의 수가 약 오천 명이었더라.
4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
5 ¶ 그러고 나서 이튿날 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그들의 치리자들과 장로들과 서기관들과
5 ¶ And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 대제사장 안나스와 카야파스와 요한과 알렉산더와 대제사장의 친족에 속한 자들이 다 예루살렘에 함께 모였더라.
6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
7 그러고 나서 그들이 사도들을 한가운데 세워 둔 뒤에 그들은 묻기를, “무슨 권능으로나 무슨 이름으로 너희가 이 일을 행하였느냐?” 하였더라.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
8 그때 성령님으로 충만해진 베드로가 그들에게 이같이 말하였더라. “너희, 백성의 치리자들과 이스라엘의 장로들아,
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9 만일 우리가 어떤 방식으로 그 허약한 남자가 온전하게 되었는지 그에게 행해진 선한 행동에 관하여 이날에 심문을 받는다면
9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 너희 모두에게 그리고 이스라엘의 모든 백성에게 이것이 알려질지니, 너희가 십자가에 못 박았고 하나님께서 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름에 의하여, 곧 그분에 의하여 이 남자가 너희 앞에 여기 온전하게 서 있느니라.
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 이분은 너희 건축자들이 무가치하게 여겼고 또 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되는 그 돌이시라.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 또한 다른 이에게는 구원이 없나니, 하늘 아래에서 우리가 반드시 구원받아야만 하는 다른 어떤 이름도 사람들 가운데 주어지지 않았기 때문이라.”
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 ¶ 이제 그들이 저들을 배우지 못하고 무지한 사람들로 알았던지라, 베드로와 요한의 담대함을 보자 스스로 놀라워하였더라. 이어서 그들은 저들이 예수님과 함께 있었다는 저들에 관한 정보를 알게 되었더라.
13 ¶ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 그리고 치유된 그 남자가 저들 곁에 서 있는 것을 보면서 그들은 그것을 반대하여 아무것도 말할 수 없었더라.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 그러나 그들이 저들에게 공회 밖으로 나가 있으라고 명령한 후에 그들은 자기들끼리 의논하며
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 이같이 말하였더라. “우리가 이 사람들에게 무엇을 하리오? 이는 정녕 눈에 띄는 기적이 그들에 의하여 행하여졌다는 것이 예루살렘에 거하는 모든 자들에게 명백하게 드러났기 때문이라. 그런즉 우리는 그것을 부인할 수 없노라.
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 그러나 그것이 백성 사이에서 추가적으로 퍼지지 않도록 우리가 그들에게 엄하게 위협하여 앞으로는 그들이 이 이름으로 아무에게도 전하지 못하게 하자.”
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
18 그리하여 그들이 저들을 불렀으며 사도들에게 예수님의 이름으로는 일절 전하지 말고 가르치지도 말라고 명령하였더라.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 그러나 베드로와 요한이 그들에게 대답하여 이같이 말하였더라. “하나님께 경청하는 것보다 너희에게 경청하는 것이 하나님의 목전에 옳은지 너희가 판단하라.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 이는 우리가 보고 들었던 것들을 우리가 전할 수밖에 없기 때문이라.”
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21 그렇게 하여 모든 사람들이 일어난 그 일로 인해 하나님께 영광을 돌렸으므로, 그들이 사도들을 추가로 위협한 후 백성 때문에 어떻게 자신들이 저들을 처벌할지를 전혀 찾지 못한 채 저들을 가게 하였더라.
21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22 이는 이 치유의 기적이 그 위에 보여진 그 남자는 사십 세가 넘었기 때문이라.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.
23 ¶ 그러고 나서 풀려난 그들이 자기 자신들의 일행에게 가서, 수석 제사장들과 장로들이 자신들에게 말한 것을 모두 알려주었더라.
23 ¶ And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
24 그러자 그들이 그것을 들었을 때 그들은 한뜻이 되어 자신들의 목소리를 하나님께 높였고 이같이 말하였더라. “주여, 당신께서는 하나님이시니, 하늘과 땅과 바다와 그것들 안에 있는 모든 것을 만드신 분이시니이다.
24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
25 당신께서는 당신의 종 다윗의 입을 통하여 이렇게 말씀하셨나이다. ‘어찌하여 이교도들이 분개하였으며 백성들이 헛된 것들을 구상하였는가?
25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26 땅의 왕들이 일어섰으며, 치리자들이 주를 대적하여 그리고 그분의 그리스도를 대적하여 한데 모였도다.’
26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27 이는 참으로 당신의 거룩하신 아이 예수님, 곧 당신께서 기름부으신 분을 대적하여 헤롯과 본디오 빌라도 둘 다 이방인들과 이스라엘 백성과 함께 한데 모였기 때문이니,
27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28 무엇이든 당신의 손이 행하기로 하신 것과 이행되기로 미리 결정된 당신의 계획을 행하려 함이니이다.
28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
29 그런즉 주여, 이제 그들의 위협들을 보소서. 그리고 당신의 종들이 전적으로 담대하게 당신의 말씀을 전할 수 있도록 그들을 승인하여 주소서.
29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 치유를 위하여 당신의 손을 앞으로 뻗으시어 표적들과 이적들이 당신의 거룩하신 아이 예수님의 이름을 통하여 행하여지도록 하소서.”
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 ¶ 그리고 그들이 기도한 후에 그들이 함께 결집한 그 장소가 흔들렸더라. 그러자 그들이 성령님으로 충만하여졌으며 그들은 담대하게 하나님의 말씀을 전하였더라.
31 ¶ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 그러고 나서 믿은 자들의 무리가 한마음과 한 혼이 되었더라. 또한 그들 중 누구도 자신이 소유한 것들에 관하여 응당 자기 것이었다고 말하지 아니하였더라. 오히려 그들이 모든 것들을 공동으로 소유하였더라.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 그리고 위대한 권능으로 사도들이 주 예수의 부활의 증거를 전하였더니 크나큰 은혜가 그들 모두 위에 있었더라.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 또한 그들 가운데 부족한 이가 아무도 없었더라. 이는 토지들이나 집들의 소유자들이 모두 그것들을 팔아서 판 것들의 값들을 가져왔기 때문이라.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 그리하여 그것들을 사도들의 발 앞에 내려놓았으니, 모든 사람에게 저마다 자신이 가진 필요에 따라 배당이 이루어졌더라.
35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
36 그리고 사도들에 의하여 바나바란 이명으로 불리며, (바나바는 해석하자면 ‘위안의 아들’인데) 레위인이요, 사이프러스 지방 출신인 요세스가
36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
37 토지를 가지고 있어 그것을 팔아서 그 대금을 가져왔고 사도들의 발 앞에 그것을 두었더라.
37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
