1 이후에 에프라임산에 한 남자가 있었으니, 그의 이름은 미가였더라.
1 And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
2 그리고 그가 그의 어머니에게 말하기를, “당신께로부터 취하여진 은 일천일백 셰켈, 곧 당신께서 저주하시고 제 두 귀에도 이야기하신 것에 대하여 고하오니, 보소서, 그 은이 저와 함께 있나이다. 제가 그것을 취하였나이다.” 하였더라. 그러자 그의 어머니가 말하기를, “나의 아들아, 네가 주께 복을 받기를 기원하노라.” 하였더라.
2 And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
3 그리고 그가 은 일천일백 셰켈을 그의 어머니에게 반환하였을 때 그의 어머니가 말하기를, “나는 나의 아들을 위하여 그 은을 나의 손에서 주께로 완전히 봉헌하여 드렸으니, 새겨진 형상과 주조된 형상을 만들고자 함이라. 그러므로 이제 내가 그것을 너에게 되돌려 주겠노라.” 하였더라.
3 And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.
4 그럼에도 그가 그의 어머니에게 그 돈을 반환하였더니, 그의 어머니가 이백 셰켈의 은을 취하여 그것들을 주물공에게 주었고 그가 그것으로 새겨진 형상과 주조된 형상을 만들었더라. 그리고 그것들이 미가의 집 안에 있었더라.
4 Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
5 그런즉 이 남자 미가는 신들을 위한 전당을 가지고 있었기에 에봇과 테라핌을 만들고 그의 아들들 중 한 명을 거룩하게 구별시켰으니, 그가 그의 제사장이 되었더라.
5 And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6 그 당시에는 이스라엘에 왕이 없었으니, 오히려 각 사람마다 자기 자신의 두 눈에 옳은 것을 행하였더라.
6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
7 ¶ 그리고 유다 족속의 베들레헴유다에 한 청년이 있었으니, 그는 레위인이었으며 그가 거기에서 체류하였더라.
7 ¶ And there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.
8 그런데 그 남자가 베들레헴유다에서 떠나 그 도시를 나와서 그가 찾을 수 있는 장소에서 체류하고자 하였더라. 그런즉 그가 여정을 보내는 동안 그는 에프라임산으로 와서 미가의 집에 이르렀더라.
8 And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.
9 그러자 미가가 그에게 말하기를, “너는 어디에서 오느냐?” 하였더라. 이에 그가 그에게 말하기를, “나는 베들레헴유다 출신의 레위인이라. 그리고 나는 내가 체류할 수 있는 장소를 찾으러 가노라.” 하였더라.
9 And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
10 그러자 미가가 그에게 말하기를, “우리와 함께 거하며 나에게 아버지와 제사장이 되라. 그리하면 내가 너에게 은 십 셰켈을 일 년 단위로 주고, 의관 한 벌과 너의 먹을거리들을 주겠노라.” 하였더라. 그렇게 하여 그 레위인이 안으로 들어갔더라.
10 And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.
11 그리고 그 레위인은 그 남자와 함께 거하는 것에 만족하였더라. 그런즉 그 청년이 그에게 그의 아들들 중 한 명과 같이 되었더라.
11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.
12 그러고 나서 미가가 그 레위인을 성별하였더니, 그 청년이 그의 제사장이 되었고 미가의 집 안에 있었더라.
12 And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13 그때 미가가 말하기를, “내가 레위인을 나의 제사장으로 두었으니, 이제 주께서 나에게 선을 행하실 줄 내가 아노라.” 하였더라.
13 Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
