1 더 나아가서 다윗왕이 온 회중에게 이같이 말하였더라. “나의 아들 솔로몬은 하나님께서 유일하게 선택하신 자로서 아직은 어리고 유약한데 공사는 막대하도다. 이는 이 궁전이 사람을 위한 것이 아니요, 주 하나님을 위한 것이기 때문이라.

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

2 내가 이제까지 나의 기운을 다해 나의 하나님의 집을 위하여 금으로 만들어진 사물들을 위한 금과, 은으로 된 사물들을 위한 은과, 놋으로 된 사물들을 위한 놋과, 철로 된 사물들을 위한 철과, 목재로 된 사물들을 위한 목재를 예비하였고, 호마노 돌들과 배치되는 돌들과 반짝이고 여러 가지 색깔들로 된 돌들과 모든 부류의 보석들과 대리석들을 넘치게 예비하였노라.

2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

3 이뿐만 아니라 내가 나의 애정을 나의 하나님의 집에 두었기 때문에 나는 내가 거룩한 집을 위하여 예비한 모든 것 이상으로 하여, 내가 사적으로 소유한 재화인 금과 은에서 취해 내가 나의 하나님의 집에 그것들을 드렸으니,

3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

4 곧, 오필의 금으로 삼천 달란트의 금과, 정제된 은으로 칠천 달란트라. 이것들로 집들의 벽들을 입히고자 하나니,

4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

5 금으로 된 것들에 들어가는 금과, 은으로 된 것들에 들어가는 은과, 장인들의 손으로 만들어지는 모든 부류의 작업에 들어가는 것이니라. 그런즉 이날에 누가 자원하여 자신의 섬길 것을 주께 기꺼이 성별시키겠느냐?”

5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?

6 ¶ 그때 이스라엘 지파들에 속하는 아버지들의 우두머리들과 통치자들과 천인대장들과 백인대장들이 왕의 공사 주관자들과 함께 자원하여 바쳤고,

6 ¶ Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,

7 하나님의 집의 섬김을 위하여 금 오천 달란트와 일만 드램¹을, 은 일만 달란트를, 놋 일만 팔천 달란트를, 철 십만 달란트를 드렸더라.

7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

8 그리고 자신 곁에 보석들이 발견된 자들은 게르숀족 여히엘의 손을 통하여 그것들을 주의 집의 보물 창고에 드렸더라.

8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 그때 백성이 크게 기뻐하였으니, 그들이 자원하여 바쳤기 때문이요, 그들이 완전한 마음으로 기꺼이 주께 바친 까닭이라. 그런즉 다윗왕도 크나큰 즐거움으로 크게 기뻐하였더라.

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

10 ¶ 이러한 이유로 다윗이 온 회중 앞에서 주를 찬양하였더라. 그러면서 다윗이 이같이 말씀드렸더라. “우리 조상 이스라엘의 주 하나님이여, 당신께서 영원무궁토록 찬양받으시기를 바라나이다.

10 ¶ Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

11 오, 주여, 위대함과 권능과 영광과 승리와 존엄이 당신의 것이니이다. 이는 하늘 안과 땅 안에 있는 모든 것이 당신의 것이기 때문이니이다. 오, 주여, 왕국이 당신의 것이오니, 당신께서는 모든 것을 뛰어넘는 머리로서 크게 높여지셨나이다.

11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 재물들도 존귀도 당신에게서 나오며 당신께서 모든 것을 통치하시나이다. 그리고 당신의 손안에 권능과 막강함이 있나이다. 또 위대하게 만드시는 일과 모두에게 힘을 주시는 일이 당신의 손안에 있나이다.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

13 우리 하나님이여, 그러므로 이제 저희는 당신께 감사하며 당신의 영광스러운 이름을 찬송하나이다.

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14 그러나 제가 누구기에, 제 백성이 무엇이기에 저희가 이토록 자원하여 이런 수준으로 바칠 수 있겠나이까? 이는 모든 것들이 당신께로부터 나오며 저희는 당신께서 소유하신 것에서 받아 당신께 드렸기 때문이니이다.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

15 이는 저희의 모든 조상들과 마찬가지로 저희가 당신 앞에서 타국인들이요, 체류자들이기 때문이니이다. 지상에서 저희의 날들은 그림자와 같아서 아무도 지속적으로 거하지 못하나이다.

15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

16 오, 주 우리 하나님이여, 우리가 당신의 거룩하신 이름을 위하여 당신께 한 집을 건축해 드리려고 예비한 이 모든 저장물은 당신의 손에서 나온 것이요, 모두 당신께서 소유하신 것이니이다.

16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

17 나의 하나님이여, 저 또한 아는 바는 당신께서 마음을 시험하시며 올바름 안에서 기쁨을 취하신다는 것이니이다. 저로 말하자면, 저의 마음의 올바름으로 제가 이 모든 것들을 기꺼이 바친 것이니이다. 그리고 지금 저는 여기 참석한 당신의 백성이 당신께 기꺼이 바치는 것을 즐거움으로 보았나이다.

17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

18 오, 우리의 조상들인 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 주 하나님이여, 당신 백성의 마음에 있는 생각들의 상상 속에 이것을 영원토록 간직해 두시고 그들의 마음을 당신께로 예비하여 주소서.

18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

19 그리고 제 아들 솔로몬에게 완전한 마음을 주시어 당신의 명령들과 당신의 증언들과 당신의 규례들을 지키게 하시고, 이 모든 것들을 실행하게 하시며, 제가 그것을 위해 마련한 것으로 궁전을 건축하게 하소서.”

19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

20 ¶ 그러고 나서 다윗이 온 회중에게 말하기를, “이제 주 너희 하나님을 찬양하라.” 하였더라. 그러자 온 회중이 그들 조상들의 주 하나님을 찬양하였고 자신들의 머리를 아래로 숙여 절하였으며 주께 경배하고 왕에게도 그리하였더라.

20 ¶ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.

21 또 그날 이후 이튿날에 그들이 주께 희생 제물들을 희생시켰으며 주께 번제물들을 바쳤으니, 곧 일천 마리의 수송아지들과 일천 마리의 숫양들과 일천 마리의 어린양들을 그것들의 음료 제물들과, 온 이스라엘을 위한 넘치는 희생 제물들과 함께 바쳤더라.

21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

22 그리고 그날에 커다란 희열과 함께 주 앞에서 먹고 마셨더라. 그리고 그들은 두 번째로 다윗의 아들 솔로몬을 왕으로 삼았고 최고 통수권자가 되도록 그에게 기름을 부어 주께 바쳤으며, 사독도 제사장이 되도록 기름을 부었더라.

22 And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

23 그때 솔로몬이 그의 아버지 다윗을 대신하여 왕으로서 주의 보좌 위에 앉았으며 번영하였더라. 그리고 온 이스라엘이 그에게 복종하였더라.

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

24 그리고 모든 통치자들과 막강한 남자들과 다윗왕의 모든 아들들도 마찬가지로 솔로몬왕에게 자신들을 복종시켰더라.

24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

25 그리고 주께서 온 이스라엘의 목전에서 솔로몬을 지극히 드높이셨으며 이스라엘 안에 있는 그의 이전에 어떤 왕의 위에도 임했던 적이 없는 그러한 왕의 존엄을 그의 위에 부여하셨더라.

25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

26 ¶ 이와 같이 이새의 아들 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 통치하였더라.

26 ¶ Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

27 그리고 그가 이스라엘을 통치한 시간은 사십 년이었더라. 칠 년 동안은 그가 헤브론에서 통치하였으며, 삼십삼 년 동안은 그가 예루살렘에서 통치하였더라.

27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

28 그리고 그가 충분히 나이 들었고 날들이 찼으며 재물들과 존귀를 누리다가 죽었더라. 그리고 그의 아들 솔로몬이 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.

28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

29 이제 처음부터 마지막까지 다윗왕의 행적들은, 보라, 그것들이 선견자 사무엘의 책과 예언자 나단의 책과 선견자 갓의 책 안에 기록되어 있으니,

29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

30 그의 모든 통치와 그의 막강함 그리고 그와 이스라엘과 여러 나라들의 모든 왕국들을 거쳐간 시간들이 함께 기록되어 있느니라.

30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
