1 너희는 주 너희 하나님의 자녀들이라. 너희는 자신의 몸을 베지 말고, 죽은 자들을 위하여 너희의 두 눈 사이에 털을 밀지 말라.
1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 이는 네가 주 너의 하나님께 거룩한 백성이요, 주께서 너를 선택하시어 땅 위에 있는 모든 민족들 위에 두시고 자신에게 독특한 백성이 되게 하셨기 때문이라.
2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
3 ¶ 너는 어떤 가증한 것도 먹지 말지니라.
3 ¶ Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4 이것들은 너희가 먹을 짐승들이니, 곧 소와 양과 염소요,
4 These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5 수사슴과 수노루와 다마사슴과 들염소와 나사뿔영양과 들소와 샤무아라.
5 The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6 그리고 짐승들 가운데 발굽이 나뉘어져서 갈라진 틈이 두 발톱들 속으로 갈라져 들어가고 되새김질을 하는 모든 짐승마다 너희가 먹을지니라.
6 And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7 그럼에도 불구하고 이것들은 되새김질하는 것들이나 갈라진 발굽을 나누는 것들 중에서도 너희가 먹지 말아야 하나니, 곧 낙타와 산토끼와 토끼와 같은 것들이라. 이는 그것들이 되새김질하나 발굽이 나누어지지 않았기 때문이라. 그러므로 그것들은 너희에게 불결하니라.
7 Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8 그리고 돼지의 경우, 그것이 발굽은 나뉘어지나 그럼에도 되새김질하지 아니하는 까닭에 그것은 너희에게 불결하니라. 너희는 그것들의 고기를 먹지 말며, 그것들의 죽은 사체를 만지지도 말지니라.
8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9 ¶ 이것들은 물들 속에 있는 모든 것들 중에서 너희가 먹을 것이니, 곧 지느러미들과 비늘들이 있는 모든 것은 너희가 먹을 것이요,
9 ¶ These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 무엇이든지 지느러미들과 비늘들이 없는 것은 너희가 먹을 수 없느니라. 그것은 너희에게 불결하니라.
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
11 ¶ 정결한 새들에 속한 모든 것은 너희가 먹을지니라.
11 ¶ Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12 그러나 이것들은 너희가 먹지 말아야 하는 것들이니, 곧 독수리와 수염수리와 물수리와
12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13 붉은솔개와 솔개와, 그의 종류에 따른 대머리수리와,
13 And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14 그의 종류의 따른 각종 까마귀와
14 And every raven after his kind,
15 올빼미와 쏙독새와 뻐꾸기와, 그의 종류에 따른 매와
15 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16 작은 올빼미와 큰 올빼미와 백조와
16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17 펠리컨과 독취와 가마우지와
17 And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18 황새와, 그녀의 종류에 따른 왜가리와 댕기물떼새와 박쥐라.
18 And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19 또 날아다니면서 기어다니는 모든 것마다 너희에게 불결하니라. 그것들은 섭취되어서는 아니 되느니라.
19 And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20 그러나 정결한 날짐승들에 속한 모든 것은 너희가 먹을 수 있느니라.
20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21 ¶ 너희는 저절로 죽는 것에 속한 어떤 것도 먹지 말지니라. 너는 그것을 너의 성문들 안에 있는 타국인에게 주어 그로 하여금 그것을 먹을 수 있게 할지니라. 또한 너는 그것을 외지인에게 팔 수 있느니라. 이는 네가 주 너의 하나님께 거룩한 백성이기 때문이라. 너는 새끼 염소를 한 마리도 그의 어미의 젖으로 삶지 말지니라.
21 ¶ Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
22 너는 해마다 밭이 생산하는 너의 씨의 모든 소산에서 참되이 십일조를 드릴지니라.
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 그리고 너는 주 너의 하나님 앞에서, 곧 그분께서 자신의 이름을 거기에 두려고 선택하실 곳 안에서 너의 곡식의 십일조와, 너의 포도즙의 십일조와, 너의 기름의 십일조와 너의 소 떼들의 첫배 새끼들과 너의 양 떼들의 첫배 새끼들을 먹을지니, 너로 하여금 주 너의 하나님을 항상 두려워하는 것을 배우게 하려 함이라.
23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24 그런데 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게 복을 주셨을 때, 만일 주 너의 하나님께서 자신의 이름을 거기에 세우려고 선택하실 장소가 너에게서 너무 멀거나 길이 너에게 너무 길어서 네가 그것을 옮길 수 없다면,
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25 그때 너는 그것을 돈으로 바꾸어 그 돈을 너의 손에 싸매고 주 너의 하나님께서 선택하실 장소로 갈지니라.
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26 그런 다음에 너는 너의 혼이 절실히 바라는 것은 무엇이든지 그 돈을 들여 살지니, 소들이나 양들이나 포도즙이나 진한 음료나 너의 혼이 갈망하는 것은 무엇이든지 살지니라. 그리하여 너는 거기 주 너의 하나님 앞에서 먹을지니, 너, 곧 너와 너의 집안은 크게 기뻐할지니라.
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 그리고 너의 성문들 안에 있는 레위인의 경우, 너는 그를 저버리지 말지니라. 이는 그에게 너와 함께 받는 어떤 지분이나 유산도 없기 때문이라.
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 ¶ 삼 년의 끝에 너는 그해의 네 모든 소산의 십일조를 가지고 나올지니, 너의 성문들 안에 그것을 쌓아 올릴지니라.
28 ¶ At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 그리하면 레위인과 (이는 그에게 너와 함께 받는 어떤 지분이나 유산도 없는 까닭이라.) 너의 성문들 안에 있는 타국인과 아버지 없는 자와 과부가 와서 먹고 만족스러워 하리니, 주 너의 하나님께서 네가 너의 손으로 하는 모든 일에 있어서 너에게 복을 주시도록 하려 함이라.
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
