1 고환들이 상한 자나 그의 은밀한 부위가 잘려 나간 자는 주의 회중 가운데로 들어오지 못하리라.

1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 사생아는 주의 회중 가운데로 들어오지 못하리라. 심지어 그는 그의 십 대까지도 주의 회중 가운데로 들어오지 못하리라.

2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

3 암몬족과 모압족은 주의 회중 가운데로 들어오지 못하리라. 심지어 그들은 그들의 십 대까지도 계속해서 주의 회중 가운데로 들어오지 못하리라.

3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

4 이는 너희가 이집트에서 나올 때 그들이 길에서 너희를 빵과 물로 맞이하지 아니하였기 때문이며, 그들이 너를 저주하고자 메소포타미아의 프돌에서 너를 대적하여 브올의 아들 발라암을 고용하였기 때문이라.

4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 그럼에도 불구하고 주 너의 하나님께서 발라암의 말에 경청하려 하지 아니하셨느니라. 오히려 주 너의 하나님께서 그 저주를 너에게 복으로 바꾸셨으니, 주 너의 하나님께서 너를 사랑하셨기 때문이라.

5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

6 너는 너의 모든 날들 동안 계속하여 그들의 화평도, 그들의 번영도 구하지 말지니라.

6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

7 ¶ 너는 에돔족을 혐오하지 말지니라. 이는 그가 너의 형제이기 때문이라. 너는 이집트인을 혐오하지 말지니라. 이는 네가 그의 지역 가운데서 타국인이었기 때문이라.

7 ¶ Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

8 그들에게서 태어난 자녀들은 그들의 삼 대째에 주의 회중 가운데로 들어올지니라.

8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 ¶ 너의 원수들을 대적하여 군대가 출진할 때면 그때 각각의 모든 사악한 것으로부터 너를 지킬지니라.

9 ¶ When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

10 ¶ 만일 너희 가운데 어떤 사람이 있는데 그가 밤에 예기치 않게 자신에게 생긴 불결함이 원인이 되어 정결하지 아니한 경우, 그때 그는 진영 밖으로 나갈지니, 그는 진영 안으로 들어오지 말지니라.

10 ¶ If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

11 그러나 이러한 일이 있을지니, 저녁이 임할 때 그는 물로 자신의 몸을 씻을지니라. 그리하여 해가 진 뒤에 그는 진영 안으로 다시 들어올지니라.

11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

12 ¶ 너는 또한 진영 밖에 네가 나가 있을 한 장소를 둘지니라.

12 ¶ Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13 그런 다음에 너는 너의 무기 위에 삽 하나를 둘지니라. 그리고 이러한 일이 있을지니, 네가 외부에서 용변을 볼 때, 너는 그것으로 땅을 판 다음에 도로 메워서 너의 배설물을 덮을지니라.

13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

14 이는 주 너의 하나님께서 너를 구출하시고, 너의 원수들을 네 앞에 넘겨주시려고 너의 진영 한가운데를 거니시기 때문이라. 그러므로 너의 진영은 거룩해야 하리니, 그분께서 네 안에서 어떤 불결한 것도 보지 아니하시고 너에게서 돌아서지 아니하시도록 하려 함이라.

14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 너는 자기 주인에게서 탈출하여 너에게 온 종을 그의 주인에게 넘기지 말지니라.

15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

16 그가 너와 함께, 곧 너희 가운데 지내리니, 너의 성문들 중에 그가 선택할 한 장소 안에서 지낼 것이요, 그가 가장 좋아하는 곳에서 지낼 것이라. 너는 그를 압제하지 말지니라.

16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

17 ¶ 이스라엘의 딸들 중에 어떤 매춘부도 없게 하고, 이스라엘의 아들들 중에 소돔족¹이 한 명도 없게 할지니라.

17 ¶ There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 너는 매춘부의 품값과 개의 값을 어떤 서원으로도 주 너의 하나님의 집 안으로 가져오지 말지니라. 이는 바로 이 두 가지가 주 너의 하나님께 가증함이기 때문이라.

18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

19 ¶ 너는 너의 형제에게 이자를 얹어서 빌려주지 말지니라. 돈의 이자나 먹을거리들의 이자나 이자를 얹어서 빌려준 어떤 것의 이자도 받지 말지니라.

19 ¶ Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

20 타국인에게는 네가 이자를 얹어서 빌려주어도 되느니라. 그러나 너는 너의 형제에게 이자를 얹어서 빌려주지 말지니, 네가 그곳을 차지하려고 가는 그 지역 가운데서 네가 너의 손을 두는 모든 일에 있어 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게 복을 주시도록 하려 함이라.

20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

21 ¶ 네가 서원으로 주 너의 하나님께 서원할 때면, 너는 그것을 갚기를 더디 하지 말지니라. 이는 주 너의 하나님께서 반드시 너에게 그것을 요구하실 것이기 때문이라. 그리하면 그것이 네 안에서 죄가 되리라.

21 ¶ When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

22 그러나 만일 네가 서원하기를 삼가면, 그것은 네 안에서 전혀 죄가 되지 아니하리라.

22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 너는 네 입술에서 나간 것을 지키고 수행할지니, 곧 주 너의 하나님께 네가 서원한 대로 네가 너의 입으로 약속한 자유 의지로 드리는 제물을 드릴지니라.

23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

24 ¶ 네가 너의 이웃의 포도원 안으로 들어갈 때면, 그때 너는 네 자신이 기뻐하는 만큼 너의 양이 찰 때까지 포도들을 먹을 수 있느니라. 그러나 너는 어떤 것도 너의 그릇 안에 담지 말지니라.

24 ¶ When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

25 네가 너의 이웃의 베지 않은 곡식 가운데로 들어갈 때면, 그때 너는 너의 손으로 이삭들을 딸 수 있느니라. 그러나 너는 너의 이웃의 베지 않은 곡식에 낫 하나도 대지 말지니라.

25 When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
