1 너는 네 형제의 소나 그의 양이 길을 잃은 것을 보거든 스스로 그것들을 외면하지 말지니라. 너는 어떤 경우에도 그것들을 너의 형제에게 다시 데려다 줄지니라.
1 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2 그런데 만일 너의 형제가 너의 부근에 있지 아니하거나 네가 그를 모른다면, 그때 너는 그것을 너 자신의 집으로 끌고 가서 너의 형제가 그것을 찾을 때까지 그것이 너의 곁에 있게 할지니, 너는 그것을 그에게 다시 반환할지니라.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3 너는 그의 나귀에게도 동일한 방식으로 행할지니라. 그리고 너는 그의 의상에도 그렇게 할지니라. 그런즉 너의 형제가 잃어버렸으나 네가 발견한 그의 모든 분실물을 너는 이와 같이 처리할지니, 너는 스스로 외면하지 말지니라.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4 ¶ 너는 네 형제의 나귀나 그의 소가 길가에서 넘어진 것을 보고 있지 말고, 스스로 그것들을 외면하지 말지니라. 너는 반드시 그를 도와서 그것들을 다시 일으켜 세울지니라.
4 ¶ Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5 ¶ 여자는 남자에게 속한 것을 입지 말며, 남자도 여자의 의복을 입지 말지니라. 이는 그렇게 하는 모든 것이 주 너의 하나님께 가증함이기 때문이라.
5 ¶ The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
6 ¶ 만일 길을 가는 중에 어떤 나무에나 지면 위에 예기치 않게 새 둥지가 너의 앞에 있는 경우, 그것들이 새끼들이든지 알들이든지 어미 새가 새끼들이나 알들을 품고 있다면, 너는 그 어미 새를 새끼와 함께 취하지 말지니라.
6 ¶ If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7 그러나 너는 어떻게든지 그 어미 새를 가게 한 다음에 새끼들을 너에게로 취할지니, 네가 잘되게 하려 함이요, 네가 너의 날들을 연장하게 하려 함이라.
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8 ¶ 네가 새 집을 건축할 때면, 그때 너는 너의 지붕에 난간을 설치할지니, 어떤 사람이 거기서 떨어지더라도 네가 너의 집 위에 피를 가져오지 않게 하려 함이라.
8 ¶ When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9 ¶ 너는 너의 포도원에 여러 종류의 씨들을 뿌리지 말지니, 네가 뿌린 너의 씨의 열매와 너의 포도원의 열매가 더럽혀지지 않게 하려 함이라.
9 ¶ Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10 ¶ 너는 소와 나귀를 함께하여 밭을 갈지 말지니라.
10 ¶ Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 ¶ 너는 양털과 아마를 함께 짠 것같이 여러 종류를 섞어 짠 의복을 입지 말지니라.
11 ¶ Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12 ¶ 네가 너의 몸을 덮는 데 쓰는 너의 겉옷의 네 귀퉁이에 너는 술 장식들을 네게 만들어 둘지니라.
12 ¶ Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13 ¶ 만일 어떤 남자가 한 아내를 취하고 그녀에게 들어갔는데 그녀를 증오하여,
13 ¶ If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14 그녀를 대적하는 이야기로 구실들을 대고 그녀 위에 한 누명을 씌우며 말하기를, ‘내가 이 여자를 취하였으나 내가 그녀에게 들어갔을 때 나는 그녀가 숫처녀가 아님을 발견하였도다.’ 하는 경우,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15 그때 그 젊은 여인의 아버지와 그녀의 어머니는 그 젊은 여인의 처녀성의 징표들을 가져다가 성문 안에 있는 도시의 장로들에게 내놓을지니라.
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16 그런 다음에 그 젊은 여인의 아버지는 장로들에게 이렇게 말할지니라. ‘내가 내 딸을 이 남자에게 아내로 주었는데 그가 그녀를 증오하나이다.
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17 그런데, 보소서, 그가 그녀를 대적하는 이야기로 구실들을 대며 말하기를, ‘내가 당신의 딸이 숫처녀가 아님을 발견하였도다.’ 하였으나 이것들이 내 딸의 처녀성의 징표들이니이다.’ 그런 다음에 그들은 그 도시의 장로들 앞에서 그 천을 펼칠지니라.
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18 그리하면 그 도시의 장로들은 그 남자를 붙잡고 그를 징계할지니라.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19 그런 다음에 그들은 그에게 은 일백 셰켈의 벌금형을 내리고 그 젊은 여인의 아버지에게 그것들을 줄지니라. 이는 그가 이스라엘의 한 처녀 위에 누명을 씌웠기 때문이라. 그런즉 그녀는 그의 아내가 되리라. 그는 그의 모든 날들 동안 그녀를 버릴 수 없느니라.
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20 그러나 만일 이것이 사실이어서 처녀성의 징표들이 그 젊은 여인에게서 발견되지 않는다면,
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 그때 그들은 그녀의 아버지의 집의 문으로 그 젊은 여인을 데리고 나올지니, 그녀의 도시의 사람들은 그녀를 돌들로 쳐서 그녀로 하여금 죽게 할지니라. 이는 그녀가 그녀의 아버지의 집 안에서 매춘부 짓을 하여 이스라엘 가운데서 어리석은 짓을 벌인 까닭이라. 그렇게 하여 너는 너희 가운데서 악을 치워 버릴지니라.
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22 ¶ 만일 어떤 남자가 한 남편이 있는 유부녀와 동침한 것이 발견된다면, 그때 그들 양쪽 모두가 죽어야 하리니, 곧 그 여자와 동침한 남자와, 그 여자 둘 다라. 그렇게 하여 너는 이스라엘에서 악을 치워 버릴지니라.
22 ¶ If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23 ¶ 만일 처녀인 젊은 여인이 한 남편과 정혼하였는데 어떤 남자가 그녀를 그 도시 안에서 발견하고 그녀와 동침하는 경우,
23 ¶ If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 그때 너희는 그 도시의 성문으로 그들을 둘 다 데리고 나올지니, 너희는 그들을 돌들로 쳐서 그들로 하여금 죽게 할지니라. 그 젊은 여인은, 그녀가 도시 안에 있으면서 소리치지 않은 까닭이요, 그 남자는, 그가 자기 이웃의 아내를 비천하게 한 까닭이라. 그렇게 하여 너는 너희 가운데서 악을 치워 버릴지니라.
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25 ¶ 그러나 만일 어떤 남자가 정혼한 어떤 젊은 여인을 들에서 발견하고는 그 남자가 그녀를 겁탈하여 그녀와 동침한 경우, 그때는 그녀와 동침한 그 남자만 죽어야 하리라.
25 ¶ But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26 그러나 그 젊은 여인에게 너는 아무것도 행하지 말지니라. 그 젊은 여인에게는 죽어 마땅한 어떤 죄도 없느니라. 이는 마치 어떤 남자가 자기 이웃을 대적하여 일어나서 그를 살해할 때처럼, 이 사건도 바로 그와 같기 때문이니,
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27 그가 들에서 그녀를 발견하였기에 그 정혼한 젊은 여인이 소리쳐도 그녀를 구원할 자가 아무도 없었기 때문이라.
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28 ¶ 만일 어떤 남자가, 정혼하지 않은 처녀인 젊은 여인을 발견하여 그녀를 붙잡고 그녀와 동침하였는데 그들이 발견되었다면,
28 ¶ If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 그때 그녀와 동침한 그 남자는 그 젊은 여인의 아버지에게 은 오십 셰켈을 줄지니, 그녀가 그의 아내가 되리라. 이는 그가 그녀를 비천하게 한 까닭이니, 그는 그의 모든 날들 동안 그녀를 버릴 수 없느니라.
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30 ¶ 남자는 자기 아버지의 아내를 취하지 말지니, 자기 아버지의 옷자락을 들추지도 말지니라.
30 ¶ A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
