1 다시금 다윗이 이스라엘에서 선정된 남자들 삼만 명을 모두 함께 모았더라.
1 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 그리고 다윗이 일어나 유다의 바알레에서부터 자신과 함께 있던 모든 이들과 함께 갔으니, 그분의 이름이 그룹들 사이에 거하는 만군의 주의 이름으로 불리시는 하나님의 법궤를 거기서부터 가져오려는 것이더라.
2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
3 그리고 그들이 새 짐수레 위에 하나님의 법궤를 놓았고 그것을 기브아에 있던 아비나답의 집에서 가져왔더라. 그리고 아비나답의 아들들인 웃-사와 아히오가 새 짐수레를 몰았더라.
3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
4 그리고 그들이 하나님의 법궤가 실린 짐수레를 기브아에 있던 아비나답의 집에서 가지고 나왔더라. 그리고 아히오가 법궤 앞에 갔더라.
4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
5 그러자 다윗과 이스라엘 집 전체가 전나무로 만들어진 온갖 부류의 악기들을 주 앞에서 연주하였으니, 곧 하프들과 솔터리들과 탬버린들과 뿔 나팔들과 심벌들로 연주하였더라.
5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6 ¶ 그들이 나콘의 타작마당에 이르렀을 때 웃-사가 자기 손을 하나님의 법궤에 내밀어 그것을 붙들었더라. 이는 소들이 그것을 흔들었기 때문이라.
6 ¶ And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 그러자 주의 분노가 웃-사를 대적하여 타올랐으니, 그의 과오로 인하여 하나님께서 거기서 그를 치셨더라. 그런즉 그가 거기 하나님의 법궤 옆에서 죽었더라.
7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
8 이에 다윗이 불쾌해하였으니, 주께서 웃-사를 치셨던 까닭이라. 그런즉 그가 그곳의 이름을 페레즈-웃사라 불렀으니, 오늘날까지 이르니라.
8 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
9 그런즉 다윗이 그날에 주를 무서워하여 말하기를, “주의 법궤가 어떻게 나에게 오겠는가?” 하였더라.
9 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
10 그렇게 하여 다윗이 주의 법궤를 다윗의 도시 안으로, 곧 자신에게로 옮겨 오려고 하지 아니하였더라. 반면에 다윗이 그것을 돌려 가드족 오벳에돔의 집 안으로 운반하였더라.
10 So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
11 그리하여 주의 법궤가 가드족 오벳에돔의 집 안에 삼 개월 동안 계속 있었더라. 그런즉 주께서 오벳에돔과 그의 온 집안에 복을 주셨더라.
11 And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
12 ¶ 이후에 그것이 다윗왕에게 이와 같은 말로 알려졌으니, “주께서 하나님의 법궤로 인하여 오벳에돔의 집과 그에게 귀속되어 있는 모든 것에 복을 주셨나이다.” 하였더라. 그렇게 하여 다윗이 반가움으로 가서 하나님의 법궤를 오벳에돔의 집에서 다윗의 도시 안으로 가지고 올라왔더라.
12 ¶ And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
13 그런 다음에 이와 같은 일이 있었으니, 주의 법궤를 든 자들이 여섯 걸음의 보폭만큼 갔을 때 그가 소들과 살진 것들을 희생 제물로 바쳤더라.
13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
14 그러면서 다윗이 주 앞에서 자신의 있는 힘을 다해 춤을 추었더라. 그리고 다윗에게는 한 아마포 에봇이 둘러져 있었더라.
14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 그렇게 하여 다윗과 이스라엘 집 전체가 함성과 나팔 소리를 내며 주의 법궤를 가지고 올라왔더라.
15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 그러다가 주의 법궤가 다윗의 도시 안으로 왔을 때 사울의 딸 미칼이 한 창문을 통하여 내다보았다가 주 앞에서 뛰어놀고 춤추는 다윗왕을 목격하였더라. 이에 그녀가 자신의 마음속으로 그를 멸시하였더라.
16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
17 ¶ 이윽고 그들이 주의 법궤를 가지고 들어왔으니, 다윗이 그것을 위하여 친 장막 한복판에서 그것을 그의 장소 안에 두었더라. 그러고 나서 다윗이 주 앞에 번제물들과 화평 제물들을 바쳤더라.
17 ¶ And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
18 그러고는 다윗이 번제물들과 화평 제물들을 바치는 것을 끝마치자마자 그가 만군의 주의 이름으로 백성을 축복하였더라.
18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
19 그리고 그가 온 백성 가운데, 곧 이스라엘의 온 무리 가운데서 각자 빵 한 토막과 좋은 고기 한 조각과 포도즙이 든 음료병 하나를 나누어 주었으니, 여자들에게도 남자들과 마찬가지로 나누어 주었더라. 그렇게 하여 온 백성이 모두 저마다 자기 집으로 떠났더라.
19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
20 ¶ 그때 다윗이 자기 집안을 축복하려고 되돌아갔더라. 그러자 사울의 딸 미칼이 다윗을 맞이하려고 나와 말하기를, “이스라엘의 왕께서 오늘 얼마나 영광스러우셨는지, 오늘 자기 신하들의 몸종들의 눈이 있는 데서 마치 하잘것없는 사내들 중 하나가 부끄러움 없이 자기 몸을 드러내듯 자신의 몸을 드러내셨나이다!” 하였더라.
20 ¶ Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
21 이에 다윗이 미칼에게 이같이 말하였더라. “그것은 주 앞에서였으니, 그분은 그대의 아버지와 그의 온 집 앞에서 나를 선택하시어 나를 주의 백성, 곧 이스라엘을 다스리는 치리자로 임명하신 분이시라. 그러므로 나는 주 앞에서 뛰놀리라.
21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
22 또 내가 이보다 더 천박해지고 나 자신의 눈에 천해지더라도 그들에게는, 곧 그대가 언급한 여종들에게는 내가 존경을 받으리라.”
22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
23 그러므로 사울의 딸 미칼이 그녀가 죽는 날까지 자식이 없었더라.
23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
