1 이후에 다윗이 말하기를, “사울의 집에 아직 남아 있는 누군가가 있느냐? 이는 내가 요나단으로 인하여 그에게 친절을 보이려 함이라.” 하였더라.
1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
2 그리고 사울의 집에 속한 한 종이 있었으니, 그의 이름은 지바였더라. 그런즉 그들이 그를 다윗에게 불렀을 때 왕이 그에게 말하기를, “네가 지바냐?” 하였더라. 그러자 그가 말하기를, “당신의 종이 그이옵니다.” 하였더라.
2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.
3 그러자 왕이 말하기를, “사울의 집에 아직 남아 있는 누군가가 없느냐? 이는 내가 그에게 하나님의 친절을 보이고자 함이라.” 하였더라. 이에 지바가 왕에게 말하기를, “요나단의 아들 한 명이 아직 있는데 그는 그의 두 발을 저나이다.” 하였더라.
3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
4 그러자 왕이 그에게 말하기를, “그가 어디에 있느냐?” 하였더라. 이에 지바가 왕에게 말하기를, “보소서, 그는 로드발에 있는 암미엘의 아들 마킬의 집 안에 있나이다.” 하였더라.
4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
5 ¶ 그때 다윗왕이 사람을 보내어 그를 로드발에서, 곧 암미엘의 아들 마킬의 집에서 데리고 왔더라.
5 ¶ Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
6 이때 요나단의 아들이자 사울의 자손인 므피보솃이 다윗에게 왔을 때 그가 그의 얼굴을 대고 엎드려 경외하였더라. 이에 다윗이 말하기를, “므피보솃아.” 하였더라. 이에 그가 대답하기를, “당신의 종을 보소서!” 하였더라.
6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!
7 ¶ 그러자 다윗이 그에게 말하기를, “두려워하지 말라. 이는 내가 너의 아버지 요나단으로 인하여 너에게 반드시 친절을 보일 것이요, 너에게 너의 조상 사울의 모든 토지를 회복시켜 줄 것이기 때문이라. 그리고 너는 나의 식탁에서 지속적으로 빵을 먹을지니라.” 하였더라.
7 ¶ And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8 이에 그가 자신의 몸을 숙여 절하며 말하기를, “당신의 종이 무엇이기에 당신께서 저같이 이런 죽은 개 한 마리를 돌보시나이까?” 하였더라.
8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?
9 ¶ 그때 왕이 사울의 종 지바를 불러 그에게 이같이 말하였더라. “내가 사울과 그의 모든 집에 귀속된 모든 것을 너의 주인의 아들에게 주었노라.
9 ¶ Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
10 그러므로 너와 너의 아들들과 너의 종들은 그를 위하여 토지를 경작할 것이요, 너는 열매들을 안으로 들여서 너의 주인의 아들이 먹을 음식을 얻게 하라. 그러나 너의 주인의 아들 므피보솃은 나의 식탁에서 늘 빵을 먹으리라.” 이때 지바에게는 열다섯 명의 아들들과 스무 명의 종들이 있었더라.
10 Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11 그때 지바가 왕에게 말하기를, “내 주 왕께서 그의 종에게 명령하신 모든 것에 따라 당신의 종이 그렇게 행하리이다.” 하였더라. 왕이 말하기를, “므피보솃에 관하여 말하자면, 그는 나의 식탁에서 왕의 아들들 중 한 명처럼 먹으리라.” 하였더라.
11 Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
12 그리고 므피보솃에게는 한 어린 아들이 있었는데 그의 이름이 미카였더라. 또한 지바의 집 안에 거한 모든 이들이 므피보솃에게 종들이 되었더라.
12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13 그렇게 하여 므피보솃이 예루살렘에서 거하였더라. 이는 그가 지속적으로 왕의 식탁에서 먹었고, 그의 두 발을 모두 절었기 때문이라.
13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
