1 이후에 예수님께서 나가시어 성전으로부터 떠나셨더라. 그러자 그분의 제자들이 성전의 건축물들을 그분께 보여드리고자 그분께 나아왔더라.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “너희는 이 모든 것들을 보지 아니하느냐? 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘여기에 돌 하나도 다른 돌 위에 남겨지지 아니하리니, 무너뜨려지지 아니할 돌이 없으리라.’” 하셨느니라.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 ¶ 이후에 그분께서 올리브산 위에 앉아 계셨을 때 제자들이 그분께 은밀하게 나아와서 말씀드리기를, “우리에게 알려주소서. 언제 이런 일들이 있으리이까? 그리고 당신께서 오시는 것의 표적과 세상 끝의 표적이 무엇이리이까?” 하였더라.

¶ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “어떤 사람도 너희를 속이지 않도록 주의하라.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 이는 많은 이들이 내 이름으로 올 것이요, 그들이 말하기를, ‘내가 그리스도라.’ 하며 많은 이들을 속일 것이기 때문이라.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 그리고 너희는 전쟁들과 전쟁들의 소문들에 관하여 들으리라. 이 모든 일들이 일어나야만 하나 아직 끝은 아니므로 너희가 불안해하지 않도록 주의하라.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 이는 민족이 민족을 대적하여 일어날 것이요, 왕국이 왕국을 대적하여 일어날 것이기 때문이라. 그리고 기근들과 역병들과 지진들이 여러 장소들에 있으리라.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 이 모든 것들이 비탄스러운 일들의 시작이라.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 그때 그들이 너희를 넘겨주어 고난받게 하고 너희를 죽이리라. 그런즉 너희는 나의 이름으로 인하여 모든 민족들로부터 증오를 받으리라.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 그리하면 그때 많은 이들이 실족하게 될 것이요, 서로 배반할 것이요, 서로 증오할 것이라.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 그리고 많은 거짓 예언자들이 일어날 것이요, 많은 이들을 속이리라.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 그리고 죄악이 성행할 것이므로 많은 이들의 사랑이 점점 차가워지리라.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 그러나 끝까지 견딜 자, 바로 그는 구원을 받으리라.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 그리하면 이 왕국 복음이 모든 민족들에게 증거로서 온 세상에 선포되리라. 그러고 나서 그때 끝이 오리라.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 그러므로 예언자 다니엘에 의하여 언급된 황량하게 하는 그 가증한 것이 성소 안에 서는 것을 너희가 볼 때면, (누구나 읽는 자는 이해할지어다.)

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 그때 유대에 있는 자들은 산들 속으로 도망할지어다.

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 옥상 위에 있는 자는 자기 집에서 어떤 것을 가지고 나오려고 내려오지 말지어다.

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 또한 들에 있는 자는 자기 옷을 가지러 뒤로 되돌아가지 말지어다.

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 그리고 그날들에는 아이 밴 자들과 젖 먹이는 자들에게 화가 있으리로다!

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 오직 너희는 너희의 도피가 겨울에 있거나 안식일에 있지 않도록 기도하라.

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 이는 그때 대환란이 있을 것이기 때문이니, 세상의 시초 이후로 이때까지 그와 같은 것이 없었으며, 없나니, 앞으로도 결코 없으리라.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 그런즉 그날들이 단축되지 않는다면, 어떤 육체도 구원받지 못할 것이라. 그러나 택함받은 자들을 위하여 그날들이 단축되리라.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 그때 만일 어떤 사람이 너희에게 ‘보라, 그리스도가 여기 있다. 혹은 저기 있다.’ 할지라도 그것을 믿지 말라.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 이는 거짓 그리스도들과 거짓 예언자들이 일어날 것이요, 대단한 표적들과 이적들을 보일 것이기 때문이라. 만일 가능하다면 저들은 바로 그 택함받은 자들까지도 속일 것이라.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 보라, 내가 너희에게 미리 알려주었노라.

Behold, I have told you before.

26 이러한 이유로 만일 그들이 너희에게 ‘보라, 그가 사막에 있다.’ 말할지라도, 나가지 말라. ‘보라, 그가 밀실들에 있다.’ 할지라도 그것을 믿지 말라.

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 이는 번개가 동쪽에서 나와 서쪽에도 번쩍이듯이 인자가 오는 것 역시 그러할 것이기 때문이라.

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 그러므로 사체가 있는 곳이면 어디든지 독수리들이 한데 모일 것이라.

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 ¶ 그날들에 속한 환란 직후에는 해가 어두워질 것이요, 달이 그녀의 빛을 내지 않을 것이요, 별들이 하늘에서 떨어질 것이요, 하늘들의 권능들이 흔들릴 것이라.

¶ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 그리고 그때 인자의 표적이 하늘에 나타나리라. 그리하면 그때에 땅의 모든 지파들이 애곡할 것이요, 그들은 인자가 권능과 대단한 영광과 함께 하늘의 구름들 가운데 오는 것을 보리라.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 그리하여 그가 굉장한 나팔 소리와 함께 자신의 천사들을 보낼 것이요, 그들은 그의 택함받은 자들을 네 바람의 방향에서 한데 모을 것이니, 하늘의 이쪽 끝에서 저쪽 끝까지라.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 이제 그 무화과나무의 비유를 배우라. 그의 가지가 아직 연하고 잎사귀들을 내밀 때면 여름이 가까이 있음을 너희가 아느니라.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 그러한 이유로 이와 같이 너희가 이 모든 것들을 볼 때면 그것이 가까이, 곧 문들 앞에 있음을 너희가 아느니라.

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘이 모든 것들이 성취되기 전에는 이 세대가 지나가지 아니하리라.’

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 하늘과 땅은 없어질 것이나, 나의 말들은 없어지지 아니하리라.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 ¶ 그러나 그날과 그 시각에 대하여 아는 사람은 아무도 없나니 없도다. 하늘의 천사들도 모르고 오직 나의 아버지만 아시느니라.

¶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 다만 노-아의 날들이 그러하였던 것같이 인자가 오는 것 역시 그러할 것이라.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 이는 마치 홍수 이전의 날들에 노-아가 방주 안으로 들어가던 날까지 그들이 먹고 마시며 장가가고 시집가고 있었던 것 같으며,

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 홍수가 임하여 그들 모두를 제거할 때까지 몰랐던 것같이 인자가 오는 것 역시 그러할 것이기 때문이라.

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 그때 둘이 들에 있으리니, 한 명은 붙들려 가고 다른 한 명은 남겨지리라.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 두 여자가 방앗간에서 곡식을 빻고 있으리니, 한 명은 붙들려 가고 다른 한 명은 남겨지리라.

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 ¶ 그러므로 깨어 있으라. 이는 너희가 너희의 주께서 어느 시각에 오시는지 모르기 때문이라.

¶ Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 그러나 이것을 알라. 만일 그 집의 가장이 어느 경점에 도둑이 오려고 하는지 알았더라면, 그는 깨어서 자기 집이 뚫리는 것을 허락하지 않았으리라.

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 그러므로 너희 역시 준비하고 있으라. 이는 너희가 생각하지 않은 그러한 시각에 인자가 오기 때문이라.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 그렇다면 그의 소유주가 자기 집안사람들에게 음식을 적합한 시기에 주기 위하여 자기 집안을 다스리는 자로 삼은 신실하고 지혜로운 종이 누구냐?

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 그가 올 때 그렇게 하고 있는 것을 자신의 소유주가 발견할 그 종은 복되도다.

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘그가 그 종을 자신의 모든 소유물들을 다스리는 자로 삼으리라.’

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 그런데 오히려 만일 그 악한 종이 자기 마음속으로 말하기를, ‘나의 소유주가 그분의 오심을 늦추시는도다.’ 하며

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 자기 동료 종들을 치기 시작하고, 술 취한 자들과 함께 먹고 마시기 시작하면,

And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 그가 그를 기다리지 않는 어떤 날, 곧 그가 의식하고 있지 않은 어떤 시각에 그 종의 소유주가 오리라.

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 그리하여 그를 잘라 내서 그의 몫을 위선자들과 함께 그에게 지정하여 주리라. 거기에는 울며 이를 가는 일이 있으리라.

And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
