1 이후에 주의 말씀이 나에게 임하였으니, 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 “사람의 아들아, 마곡 지역에 있는, 메셱과 투발의 최고 통치자인 곡을 대적하여 너의 얼굴을 고정시키고 그를 대적하여 예언하여
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 이같이 말하라. 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 오, 메셱과 투발의 최고 통치자 곡아, 내가 너를 대적하노라.
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 그런즉 내가 너를 뒤로 돌이켜서 갈고리들을 너의 턱들에 꿰겠으며, 내가 너를 끌어내서 너의 모든 군사와 말들과 기병들을 끌어내겠으니, 온갖 갑옷으로 입혀진 자들, 곧 원형 방패들과 방패들을 지닌 커다란 집단이요, 칼들을 다루는 자들 모두라.
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 이어서 페르시아와 에티오피아와 리비아와 그들 곁에 있는 자들이니, 그들 모두는 방패와 투구를 지녔도다.
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 이어서 고멜과 그의 모든 부대들이요, 북쪽 방면들의 토갈마의 집과 그의 모든 부대들이요, 너와 함께한 많은 백성이라.
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 너는 예비되어 있되, 너 자신을 위하여 너와 너에게로 결집된 너의 집단 전체를 예비하라. 그리하여 너는 그들에게 보호하는 자가 되라.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 ¶ 많은 날들 이후에 네가 벌을 받으리라. 곧 마지막에 가까운 해들에 너는, 칼에서 벗어나 원래대로 돌아온 지역이자 많은 백성들에게서 나와 모인 지역으로 와서 항상 불모지였던 이스라엘의 산들을 대적하리라. 그러나 그것은 민족들에게서 나와 생겨났고, 그들 모두가 안전하게 거하리라.
8 ¶ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 너는 폭풍처럼 올라와서 당도할지니라. 너는 그 지역을 덮는 구름같이 되리니, 곧 너와 너의 모든 부대들과 너와 함께한 많은 백성들은 그리되리라.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 또한 이러한 일이 있으리니, 바로 그 시간에 여러 가지가 너의 생각 속으로 들어올 것이요, 너는 악한 생각을 하리라.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 그러면서 너는 이같이 말하리라. ‘내가 성벽이 둘러지지 아니한 촌락들의 지역으로 올라가겠노라. 나는 안정되고 안전하게 지내는 자들에게 가겠으니, 그들 모두가 성벽들 없이 거하는 자들이요, 빗장들도 대문들도 없는 자들이라.
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 그리하여 약탈물을 취하고 전리품을 취하리라.’ 이는 지금 거주자가 있는 황량한 곳들 위와, 민족들에서 나와 모인 백성 위로 너의 손을 돌이키기 위함이니, 그 백성은 가축들과 소유물들을 취하였고 그 지역의 한복판에 거하는도다.
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
13 셰바, 드단, 타르시시의 상인들, 그곳의 모든 젊은 사자들이 너에게 말하기를, ‘네가 약탈물을 취하려고 왔느냐? 네가 전리품을 취하려고 너의 무리를 모았느냐? 네가 은과 금을 실어 가고, 가축들과 소유물들을 빼앗아 가며, 엄청난 약탈물을 취하려고 너의 집단을 모았느냐?’ 하리라.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
14 ¶ 그러므로 사람의 아들아, 곡에게 예언하여 이같이 말하라. ‘주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 이스라엘에 속한, 나의 백성이 안전하게 지내는 그날에 너는 그것을 모르겠느냐?
14 ¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 그런즉 너는 북쪽 영역들에서 나와서 너의 처소로부터 오리니, 곧 너와, 너의 곁에 있는 많은 백성들과, 말들을 탄 자들 모두와, 커다란 집단과 막강한 군사라.
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 그리하여 너는 이스라엘에 속한 나의 백성을 대적하여 마치 그 지역을 덮는 구름같이 올라오리라. 이러한 일이 마지막에 가까운 날들에 있으리니, 내가 나의 토지를 대적하여 너를 데려오겠노라. 오, 곡아, 이로써 내가 너의 안에서, 그들의 눈앞에서 거룩하게 구별될 때 이교도들이 나를 알 수 있으리라.
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 너는 내가 나의 종들인 이스라엘의 예언자들을 통하여 옛적에 그에 관하여 말한 장본인이냐? 그 예언자들은 그 당시에 여러 해 동안 예언하기를, 내가 그들을 대적하여 너를 데리고 오리라고 하였도다.
17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
18 이후에 곡이 이스라엘 지역을 대적하여 오는 바로 그 시간에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 나의 노여움이 나의 얼굴로 올라오리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19 이는 내가 나의 질투 속에서 나의 진노의 불 가운데 말하였기 때문이라. 반드시 그날에 이스라엘 지역에 엄청난 떨림이 있으리라.
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20 그렇게 하여 바다의 물고기들과, 하늘의 날짐승들과, 들짐승들과, 땅 위에서 기어다니는 모든 기는 것들과, 땅의 표면 위에 있는 모든 사람들이 나의 면전에서 요동칠 것이요, 산들이 무너질 것이요, 가파른 곳들이 쓰러질 것이요, 모든 성벽마다 땅바닥으로 쓰러지리라.
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 그리고 내가 나의 모든 산들을 통틀어 그를 대적하는 칼을 불러오겠으니, 주 하나님이 말하노라. 모든 사람의 칼마다 그의 형제를 대적하리라.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22 그리고 내가 역병과 피로 그를 대적하여 변론하겠노라. 그리고 내가 그와 그의 부대들과 그의 곁에 있는 많은 백성들 위에 침수시키는 비와, 커다란 우박 덩어리들과, 불과, 유황을 비처럼 내리리라.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 이와 같이 내가 나 자신을 드높이고 나 자신을 거룩하게 구별하겠노라. 그리하여 내가 많은 민족들의 눈에 알려지겠으니, 그들은 내가 주라는 것을 알게 되리라.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
