1 이후에 미리암과 아론이 모세가 혼인한 에티오피아 여자로 인하여 모세를 대적하여 이야기하였더라. 이는 그가 에티오피아 여자와 혼인하였기 때문이더라.
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 이에 그들이 말하기를, “주께서 정녕 모세를 통해서만 이야기하셨느냐? 그분께서 우리를 통해서도 이야기하지 아니하셨느냐?” 하였더라. 그러자 주께서 그것을 들으셨더라.
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
3 (이때 이 사람 모세는 몹시 온유하였으니, 땅의 표면 위에 있던 모든 사람들보다 온유하였더라.)
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4 그런즉 주께서 갑자기 모세에게와 아론에게와 미리암에게 이야기하시기를, “너희 셋은 회중의 성막으로 나오라.” 하셨느니라. 그리하여 그들 셋이 나왔더라.
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5 이윽고 주께서 구름 기둥 속에 내려오시어 성막 문 가운데 서서 아론과 미리암을 부르셨더라. 그러자 그들 둘 다 앞으로 왔더라.
5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6 그러자 그분께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “이제 내 말들을 들으라. 만일 너희 가운데 예언자가 있다면 나, 주가 그에게 나 자신을 알게 하되 현시로 할 것이요, 그에게 이야기하되 꿈속에서 할 것이라.
6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7 나의 종 모세는 그렇지 않으니, 모세는 나의 온 집 가운데 신실하니라.
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8 그와는 내가 입에서 입으로 이야기하겠으니, 곧 분명하게 이야기하겠고 모호한 이야기들로 하지 아니하겠노라. 또 그는 주의 모습을 볼 것이라. 그런즉 어찌 너희가 나의 종 모세를 대적하여 이야기하는 것을 무서워하지 아니하였느냐?”
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9 그리하여 주의 분노가 그들을 대적하여 타올랐더라. 그리고 그분께서 떠나셨더라.
9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
10 이윽고 구름이 성막에서 걷혔는데, 보라, 미리암이 나병이 생겨서 눈같이 하얗게 되었더라. 그런즉 아론이 미리암을 바라보았더니, 보라, 그녀가 나병에 걸렸더라.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11 이에 아론이 모세에게 이같이 말하였더라. “아, 슬프도다. 나의 주여, 내가 당신께 간청하오니, 그 죄를 우리 위에 두지 마소서. 그 죄 가운데 우리가 어리석게 행하였고, 그 죄 가운데 우리가 죄를 지었나이다.
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12 그녀로 하여금 자기 어머니의 태에서 나올 때 살의 절반이 문드러져 죽은 자처럼 되지 않게 하소서.”
12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.
13 그러자 모세가 주께 부르짖으며 말씀드리기를, “오, 하나님, 제가 당신께 간청하오니, 이제 그녀를 치유하여 주옵소서.” 하였더라.
13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
14 ¶ 그러자 주께서 모세에게 말씀하시기를, “만일 그녀의 아버지가 그녀의 얼굴에 침만 뱉었어도 그녀가 칠 일 동안 부끄러워하지 않겠느냐? 그녀로 하여금 칠 일 동안 진영 밖에 갇히게 하라. 그러고 난 뒤에 그녀로 하여금 다시 안으로 받아들여지게 하라.” 하셨느니라.
14 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15 그리하여 미리암이 칠 일 동안 진영 밖에 갇혔더라. 그리고 백성은 미리암이 다시 안으로 들여질 때까지 여정을 떠나지 아니하였더라.
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16 그러고 난 후에 백성이 하제롯으로부터 떠나 파란 광야 가운데 진을 쳤더라.
16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
