1 그때 그 지역의 백성이 요시야의 아들 여호아하즈를 데려다가 그를 예루살렘에서 그의 아버지를 대신하여 왕으로 삼았더라.
1 Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.
2 여호아하즈가 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 이십삼 세였으며 그는 예루살렘에서 삼 개월 동안 통치하였더라.
2 Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
3 그러자 이집트 왕이 예루살렘에서 그를 폐위시켰고 그 영토에서 일백 달란트의 은과 일 달란트의 금을 내는 벌금형을 선고하였더라.
3 And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
4 그리고 이집트 왕이 그의 형제 엘리아킴을 유다와 예루살렘을 다스리는 왕으로 삼았고 그의 이름을 여호야킴으로 바꾸었더라. 그리고 네코가 그의 형제 여호아하즈를 취하여 그를 이집트로 잡아갔더라.
4 And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
5 ¶ 여호야킴이 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 이십오 세였으며, 그가 예루살렘에서 십일 년 동안 통치하였더라. 그리고 그는 주 그의 하나님의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라.
5 ¶ Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.
6 그를 대적하여 바빌론 왕 네부카드네자르가 올라왔고 그를 족쇄들로 결박하여 그를 바빌론으로 잡아갔더라.
6 Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
7 네부카드네자르가 또한 주의 집의 기물들도 바빌론으로 옮겨 갔고 그것들을 바빌론에 있는 자신의 신전 안에 두었더라.
7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
8 이제 여호야킴의 행적들 중 나머지와, 그가 행하였고 그 안에서 발견된 그의 가증함들이, 보라, 그것들이 이스라엘과 유다 왕들의 책 안에 기록되어 있느니라. 그리고 그의 아들 여호야킨이 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
9 ¶ 여호야킨이 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 팔 세였으며, 그가 예루살렘에서 삼 개월 하고도 십 일 동안 통치하였더라. 그리고 그는 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라.
9 ¶ Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
10 그리고 그해가 저물었을 때 네부카드네자르왕이 사람을 보내 그를 바빌론으로 데려가면서 주의 집의 고급 기물들을 함께 가져갔고, 그의 형제 시드키야를 유다와 예루살렘을 다스리는 왕으로 삼았더라.
10 And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
11 ¶ 시드키야가 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 이십일 세였으며 예루살렘에서 십일 년 동안 통치하였더라.
11 ¶ Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
12 그리고 그는 주 그의 하나님의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였고 주의 입으로부터 전하는 예언자 예레미야 앞에서 자신을 겸손하게 하지 아니하였더라.
12 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.
13 그리고 그는 또한 자신에게 하나님을 두고 맹세하게 한 네부카드네자르왕을 대적하여 반역하였더라. 오히려 그는 자신의 고개를 꼿꼿하게 하였고 그의 마음을 완악하게 하여 이스라엘의 주 하나님께 돌이키지 아니하였더라.
13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.
14 ¶ 이뿐만 아니라 제사장들의 모든 우두머리들과 백성이 이교도들의 모든 가증함들을 따라 매우 많은 불법을 행하였더라. 그리고 그분께서 예루살렘에서 거룩하게 하신 주의 집을 오염시켰더라.
14 ¶ Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15 그런즉 그들 조상들의 주 하나님께서 알맞은 때에 일어나 보내신, 그분의 전령들을 통해 그들에게 말씀을 보내셨더라. 이는 그분께서 자신의 백성에게와 자신이 거하는 처소에 연민을 가지셨기 때문이라.
15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
16 그러나 그들이 하나님의 전령들을 조롱하였고 그분의 말씀들을 멸시하였으며 그분의 예언자들을 학대하였으니, 주의 진노가 그분의 백성을 대적하여 일어날 때까지, 곧 치유책이 없을 때까지 그리하였더라.
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
17 그러므로 그분께서 그들 위에 칼데아 사람들의 왕을 데려오셨으니, 그가 그들의 성소에 속한 집 안에서 그들의 청년들을 칼로 살해하였고 청년들이나 처자들에게도, 노인이나 나이가 들어 허리가 굽은 자에게도 연민을 가지지 아니하였더라. 그분께서 그들 모두를 그의 손안에 주셨더라.
17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.
18 그리고 크고 작고 할 것 없이 하나님의 집의 모든 기물들과, 주의 집의 보물들과 왕의 보물들과 그의 통치자들의 보물들, 이 모든 것들을 그가 바빌론으로 가져갔더라.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
19 그리고 그들이 하나님의 집을 태웠고 예루살렘의 성벽을 헐었으며 그곳의 모든 궁전들을 불로 태웠고 그곳의 모든 고급 기물들을 파괴하였더라.
19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20 그리고 칼을 면한 자들을 그가 바빌론으로 잡아갔더라. 거기에서 그들은 페르시아 왕국의 통치기까지 그와 그의 아들들에게 종들이 되었더라.
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 예레미야의 입에서 나오는 주의 말씀을 성취하시려고 그 지역이 그녀의 안식하는 기간들을 향유할 때까지 그리되었더라. 이는 칠십 년을 성취하기 위해 그녀가 황량함 속에 놓인 동안만큼 그녀가 안식을 지켰기 때문이라.
21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
22 ¶ 이제 페르시아 왕 키루스의 제일년에 예레미야의 입을 통하여 전해진 주의 말씀이 이루어지도록 주께서 페르시아 왕 키루스의 영을 일깨우시어 그로 하여금 자신의 왕국 전역에 포고령을 내리게 하시고 그것을 또한 이와 같은 말로 글에 담게 하셨더라.
22 ¶ Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
23 “페르시아 왕 키루스가 이같이 말하노라. 땅의 모든 왕국들을 하늘의 주 하나님께서 나에게 주셨도다. 그리고 그분께서 나에게 유다에 있는 예루살렘에서 그분을 위하여 집을 건축하라고 명하셨도다. 그분의 모든 백성 중에서 너희 가운데 있는 자가 누구냐? 주 그의 하나님께서 그와 함께 하시기를 바라노니, 그는 올라갈지어다.”
23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.
