1 이는 주가 야곱에게 자비를 베푸실 것이요, 여전히 이스라엘을 선택하실 것이요, 그들을 자신들의 본토 안에 세우실 것이기 때문이라. 그리고 타국인들은 그들과 연합할 것이요, 그들은 야곱의 집에 달라붙으리라.
1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2 그리고 그 백성은 타국인들을 잡아 자신들의 처소로 그들을 데려오리라. 그리하여 이스라엘 집은 주의 지역에서 그들을 종들과 몸종들로 소유하리라. 그리고 그들은 자신들을 포로로 잡았던 자들을 포로들로 잡을 것이요, 그들은 자신들의 압제자들을 다스리리라.
2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3 또한 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주가 너의 슬픔과 너의 두려움과 네가 섬기게 되었던 힘든 속박으로부터 너에게 안식을 주리라.
3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 ¶ 이로써 너는 바빌론 왕을 대적하여 이 잠언을 지어서 이같이 말하라. “어떻게 압제자가 없어졌는가! 어떻게 황금의 도시가 없어졌는가!
4 ¶ That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5 주께서 사악한 자의 지팡이와 치리자들의 왕홀을 부러뜨리셨도다.”
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 진노 가운데 이 백성을 계속되는 내리침으로 쳤던 자, 분노 가운데 민족들을 다스리던 자가 박해를 당하나니, 아무도 저지하지 아니하는도다.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7 온 땅이 안식을 누리며 조용하도다. 그들이 노래를 터뜨리는도다.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8 진정 전나무들이 너를 크게 기뻐하고, 레바논의 백향목들도 그러하여 말하기를, “네가 드러눕게 되었기에 우리를 대적하여 올라오는 나무꾼이 전혀 없도다.” 하리라.
8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
9 아래로부터 지옥이 너로 인하여 움직여지나니, 네가 오기에 너를 맞이하려는 것이라. 그것이 너로 인하여 죽은 자들을 일으키나니, 곧 땅에서 으뜸가던 모든 이들이라. 그것이 민족들의 모든 왕들을 그들의 보좌들에서 일어나게 하였도다.
9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
10 그들 모두가 너에게 일러 말하기를, “너도 우리와 같이 약해졌느냐? 네가 우리처럼 되었느냐?” 하리라.
10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
11 너의 화려한 행렬이 음부로 끌어내려졌으니, 너의 비올들의 떠들썩한 소리도 그러하도다. 구더기가 너의 아래에 깔려 있고 또 구더기들이 너를 덮는도다.
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12 오, 아침의 아들, 루시퍼야! 네가 어떻게 하늘에서 떨어졌는가! 민족들을 약하게 하던 네가 어떻게 끊어져 땅바닥으로 떨어졌는가!
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 이는 네가 너의 마음속으로 이렇게 말하였기 때문이라. ‘내가 하늘로 올라가겠노라. 내가 나의 보좌를 하나님의 별들 위로 크게 높이겠노라. 내가 북쪽의 측면들에 있는 회중의 산 위에도 앉겠노라.
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 내가 구름들의 높은 곳들 위로 올라가겠노라. 내가 지극히 높으신 분처럼 되겠노라.’
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 그러나 너는 지옥으로, 구렁의 측면들로 끌어내려지리라.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 너를 쳐다보는 자들이 너를 면밀히 살피고 너에 대해 숙고하며 이같이 말하리라. “이 자가 땅을 떨게 만들고 왕국들을 뒤흔들었던 그 사람이냐?
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 이 자가 세상을 광야같이 만들고 그곳의 도시들을 멸망시켰으며, 그의 수감자들의 집을 열어 주지 아니하였던 그 사람이냐?”
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18 민족들의 모든 왕들, 곧 그들이 모두 각자 자기 자신의 집 안에서 영광 가운데 누워 있도다.
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19 그러나 너는 가증한 가지처럼 너의 무덤에서 내던져지니, 칼에 의하여 관통되어 살해당한 채 구렁의 돌들로 내려가는 자들의 의상 같고 발아래에서 밟힌 사체 같도다.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20 네가 너의 영토를 멸망시키고 너의 백성을 살해한 까닭에 너는 장사되는 일에 있어서 그들에게 합류되지 못하리라. 행악자들의 씨는 결코 이름이 높여지지 못하리라.
20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
21 그들의 조상들의 죄악으로 인하여 그의 자식들을 살육할 채비를 하라. 이는 그들이 일어나지도 못하게 하고, 토지를 소유하지도 못하게 하며, 도시들로 세상의 표면을 채우지도 못하게 하려 함이라.
21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22 이는 내가 그들을 대적하여 일어날 것이기 때문이라. 만군의 주가 말하노라. 그리하여 바빌론에서 그 이름과 남은 자와 아들과 손자를 끊으리라. 주가 말하노라.
22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
23 또한 내가 그것을 해오라기의 소유와, 물웅덩이들로 만들겠노라. 그리하여 내가 그것을 멸망의 빗자루로 쓸어버리리라. 만군의 주가 말하노라.
23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
24 ¶ 만군의 주께서 맹세하시며 이같이 말씀하셨도다. “반드시 내가 생각한 대로 그와 같이 그것이 이루어지리라. 그리하여 내가 목적한 대로 그렇게 그것이 서리라.
24 ¶ The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
25 즉, 내가 그 아시리아인을 나의 영토에서 부수고, 나의 산들 위에서 그를 발아래 짓밟겠노라. 그때 그의 멍에가 그들에게서 떠나고, 그의 짐이 그들의 어깨에서 떠나리라.
25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
26 이것이 온 땅에 대하여 의도된 목적이라. 또 이것이 모든 민족들 위에 뻗어져 있는 그 손이라.
26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
27 그러므로 만군의 주가 의도하였으니, 누가 그것을 무효화하랴? 또 그의 손이 뻗어 있으니, 누가 그것을 원래대로 돌려 놓으랴?”
27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
28 아하즈왕이 죽은 해에 이 엄중한 부담이 있었더라.
28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
29 ¶ 온 팔레스티나야, 너를 친 자의 막대기가 부러졌다고 너는 크게 기뻐하지 말라. 이는 뱀의 뿌리에서 코카트리스가 나올 것이요, 그의 열매는 날아다니는 불뱀이 될 것이기 때문이라.
29 ¶ Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30 그리하여 가난한 자들의 첫 태생이 먹을 것이요, 빈곤한 자들은 안전하게 드러누우리라. 그리고 내가 너의 뿌리를 기근으로 죽일 것이니, 그는 너의 남은 자들을 살해하리라.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31 오, 대문아 울부짖으라. 오, 도시야 부르짖으라. 온 팔레스티나야, 너는 해체되었도다. 이는 북쪽에서 연기가 나올 것이요, 그의 정해진 때들에 홀로 있는 자가 아무도 없을 것이기 때문이라.
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32 그때 사람이 그 민족의 전령들에게 어떤 대답을 하겠느냐? 곧, “주께서 시온의 기초를 세우셨으니, 그분의 백성 중 가난한 자들이 그곳을 신뢰하리라.” 하고 대답하리라.
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
