1 보라, 주께서 땅을 비우시고 황량하게 하시며 뒤집어엎으시고 그곳의 거주자들을 널리 흩으시는도다.
1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 그런즉 그 일이 백성에게와 같이 그렇게 제사장에게도, 종에게와 같이, 그렇게 그의 주인에게도, 그녀의 여종에게와 같이, 그렇게 여주인에게도, 사는 자에게와 같이, 그렇게 파는 자에게도, 빌려주는 자에게와 같이, 그렇게 빌리는 자에게도, 이자를 받는 자에게와 같이, 그렇게 그에게 이자를 주는 자에게도 있으리라.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3 그 지역이 철저히 비워지고 철저히 약탈당하리라. 이는 주께서 이 말씀을 하셨기 때문이라.
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4 땅이 애곡하며 사라져 가는도다. 세상이 쇠약하여 사라져 가는도다. 땅의 거만한 백성이 쇠약해지는도다.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5 또한 땅이 그곳의 거주자들 아래에서 더럽혀지는도다. 이는 그들이 율법들을 어겼고 법령을 바꿨으며 영원한 언약을 깨뜨렸기 때문이라.
5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 그러므로 저주가 땅을 집어삼켰고 그 안에 거하는 자들이 처량하도다. 그러므로 땅의 거주자들이 불타서 남은 자들이 거의 없도다.
6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
7 새 포도즙이 애곡하고 포도나무가 쇠약하나니, 즐거운 마음이 되었던 자들 모두가 탄식하는도다.
7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.
8 작은북들의 즐거운 소리가 그치고, 크게 기뻐하는 자들의 시끌벅적한 소리가 끝나며, 하프의 즐거움이 그치는도다.
8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
9 그들은 노래와 함께 포도주를 마시지 못할 것이요, 독주는 그것을 마시는 자들에게 쓰리라.
9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
10 혼란의 도시가 무너져 내리고, 모든 집마다 문이 닫혀서 안으로 들어오는 사람이 없도다.
10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
11 거리들에서는 포도주를 구하는 부르짖음이 있도다. 모든 즐거움이 어두워지고 그 지역의 즐거운 소리는 사라져 버렸도다.
11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
12 도시 안에 황량함이 남겨지고, 그 성문은 멸망으로 무너지는도다.
12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
13 ¶ 이와 같이 그 지역의 한복판에서 백성 가운데 이러한 일이 있으리니, 마치 올리브나무를 흔드는 것과 같고, 포도 수확이 다 끝날 때 포도들을 줍는 것과 같으리라.
13 ¶ When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
14 그들이 자신들의 목소리를 높일 것이요, 그들이 주의 존엄을 노래할 것이요, 그들이 바다로부터 크게 외치리라.
14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
15 이러한 이유로 너희는 불들 속에서 주를 영화롭게 할지니, 곧 바다의 섬들에서 이스라엘의 주 하나님의 이름을 영화롭게 할지니라.
15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.
16 ¶ 땅의 맨 끝부분에서부터 우리가 노래들을 들었나니, 곧 의로우신 분께 돌리는 영광이라. 그러나 나는 말하기를, “나의 쇠약함이여, 나의 쇠약함이여, 나에게 화가 있으리로다! 배신하는 자들이 배신하였도다. 진정 배신하는 자들이 심히 배신하였도다.” 하였도다.
16 ¶ From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
17 오, 땅의 거주자야, 두려움과 구렁과 올무가 너에게 임하였도다.
17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 그리고 이러한 일이 있으리니, 두려움의 소음에서 도망하는 자는 구렁 속으로 빠질 것이요, 구렁 한가운데서 올라오는 자는 올무에 걸릴 것이니, 높은 곳으로부터 창문들이 열리고 땅의 기초들이 흔들리기 때문이라.
18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
19 땅이 완전히 무너져 내리는도다. 땅이 철저히 해체되는도다. 땅이 극도로 요동하는도다.
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 땅이 술 취한 자처럼 이리저리 비틀거릴 것이요, 오두막처럼 옮겨지리라. 그리고 땅의 불법이 그 위에서 무겁게 짓누르리라. 그리하여 그것이 무너져서 다시는 일어나지 못하리라.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주께서 높은 곳에 있는 높은 이들의 군대와 땅 위에 있는 땅의 왕들을 벌하시리라.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 그리하면 그들은 마치 죄수들이 구렁 안에 모아진 것같이 한데 모아질 것이요, 감옥 안에 갇히리니, 여러 날들이 지난 후에 그들은 벌을 받으리라.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 그때 달이 당혹스러워하고 해가 부끄러워하리니, 곧 만군의 주께서 시온산과 예루살렘 안에서와 그의 원로들 앞에서 영광스럽게 통치하실 때라.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
