1 보라, 주의 손이 짧아져서 구원할 수 없는 것이 아니요, 그의 귀가 둔하여 들을 수 없는 것도 아니로다.
1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 오직 너희의 죄악들이 너희와 너희 하나님 사이를 분리하였고, 너희 죄들이 그의 얼굴을 너희에게서 숨겼으니, 그가 듣지 아니하시리라.
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 이는 너희 손이 피로, 너희 손가락이 죄악으로 더럽혀졌기 때문이요, 너희 입술이 거짓말들을 내뱉었고 너희의 혀가 비뚤어진 것을 중얼거렸기 때문이라.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 정의를 부르는 자도 없고 진리를 위하여 변호하는 어떤 자도 없도다. 그들은 헛된 것을 신뢰하고 거짓말들을 내뱉는도다. 그들은 해로움을 잉태하고 죄악을 출산하는도다.
4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5 그들은 코카트리스의 알들을 부화시키며 거미줄을 짜느니라. 그들의 알들을 먹는 자는 죽으며, 으스러진 것은 터져서 독사를 내느니라.
5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
6 그들의 거미줄들은 의복들이 되지 못하리니, 그들은 자신들의 행위들로 스스로를 가리지도 못하리라. 그들의 행위들은 죄악의 행위들이요, 그들의 손안에는 폭력의 행적이 있도다.
6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7 그들의 발은 악을 향해 달려가고, 그들은 무고한 피를 흘리는 데에는 재빠르도다. 그들의 생각들은 죄악의 생각들이라. 피폐함과 멸망이 그들의 행로들 안에 있도다.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 그들은 화평의 길을 몰랐도다. 그런즉 그들의 행보들 안에는 공의가 전혀 없도다. 그들이 그것들을 뒤틀린 행로들로 만들었도다. 누구든지 그 행로들을 가는 자는 화평을 알지 못하리라.
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
9 ¶ 그러므로 공의가 우리에게서 멀리 있으며, 정의가 우리를 따라잡지도 못하나이다. 우리가 빛을 기다리나, 암담함을 보나이다. 광명을 바라나, 우리가 어둠 가운데 살아가나이다.
9 ¶ Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
10 우리가 눈먼 자들처럼 담장을 더듬나니, 우리는 마치 우리가 눈이 없는 것처럼 더듬나이다. 우리는 대낮에도 밤중과 같이 걸려 넘어지나이다. 우리는 죽은 사람들같이 황량한 처소들 안에 있나이다.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
11 우리는 모두 곰들처럼 포효하고 비둘기들처럼 심히 애곡하나이다. 우리가 공의를 고대하나, 아무것도 없나이다. 구원을 고대하나, 그것이 우리에게서 멀리 떨어져 있나이다.
11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 이는 우리의 불법들이 당신 앞에서 늘어났고 우리의 죄들이 우리를 대적하여 증언하기 때문이요, 우리의 불법들이 우리와 함께 있고 우리의 죄악들로 말하자면 우리가 그것들을 알기 때문이니이다.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
13 불법을 행하고, 주를 대적하여 거짓말하며, 우리 하나님으로부터 멀리 떠나고, 압제와 반항을 이야기하며, 마음에서 거짓된 것의 말들을 잉태하고 발설함으로써 그러하나이다.
13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 그런즉 공의가 뒤로 돌이켜 떠났고 정의가 멀리 떨어져 서 있나이다. 이는 진리가 거리에 쓰러져 있고 공평이 들어가지 못하기 때문이니이다.
14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 진정 진리가 쇠하나이다. 그런즉 악에서 떠나는 자가 스스로를 전리품으로 만드나이다. 그리고 주께서 그것을 보셨으니, 공의가 없는 것이 그분을 불쾌하게 하였나이다.
15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
16 ¶ 그런즉 그분께서 사람이 없는 것을 보셨고 중보자가 없는 것을 의아해하셨도다. 그러므로 그분의 팔이 그분께 구원을 가져왔도다. 그리고 그분의 의, 그것이 그분을 지탱하였도다.
16 ¶ And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
17 이는 그분께서 의를 흉배로 입으시고 구원의 투구를 자신의 머리 위에 쓰셨기 때문이로다. 그리고 그분께서 복수의 의복들로 옷 입으셨고 열심을 망토처럼 입게 되셨도다.
17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
18 그들의 행실들에 따라 그분께서 그에 맞춰서 갚으시리니, 곧 그분의 대적들에게 노여움으로, 그분의 원수들에게 되갚음으로 하시리라. 그분께서 섬들에게 삯을 되갚으실 것이라.
18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
19 그렇게 하여 그들이 서쪽에서부터 주의 이름을 두려워할 것이요, 해가 떠오르는 곳에서부터 그분의 영광을 두려워하리라. 원수가 홍수처럼 안으로 들어올 때 주의 영이 그를 대적하여 깃발을 들어 올리시리라.
19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
20 ¶ 이후에 구속주가 시온으로 오리니, 야곱 가운데 불법으로부터 돌이키는 자들에게로 오리라. 주가 말하노라.
20 ¶ And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
21 주가 말하노라. 나로 말하자면, 이것은 그들과 맺은 나의 언약이라. 주가 말하노라. 너의 위에 있는 나의 영과, 내가 너의 입 안에 넣어준 나의 말들이 이제부터 영원토록 너의 입에서도, 너의 씨의 입에서도, 너의 씨의 씨의 입에서도 떠나지 아니하리라.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
